Start Spreading the News -- Ronaldo to NY?

In the wake of Beckham joining the Los Angeles Galaxy, sources inside Major League Soccer tell TMZ that, among other players, Brazilian soccer superstar Ronaldo could be the next player joining Becks in America.

As TMZ reported yesterday, Beckham is moving to Los Angeles to play for the L.A. Galaxy -- for a record breaking salary of a $50 million a year for five years (for a total of $250 million). Sources say that New York could be the site of Ronaldo's landing, adding that NY's infatuation with celebrity athletes makes it the perfect place for him.

As for Ronaldo himself, sports insiders say his impact, while big, will be nowhere near that of Beckham's. Ronaldo, while talented on the field, does not have the same charm and charisma that Becks does. Charm and charisma... yeah that's it.

31. 22 Frankie: Post No. 4 is actually correct...whether you like it or not. Europeans are far classier than most Americans. If you travel abroad to the South of France, Monte Carlo, Milan, Rome, Venice Italy, and most of Switzerland people have wealth, are far more educated, elegant and classy. You may think everyone in the world are jealous of Americans but that could not be further from the truth. Most Europeans laugh at the silly, ugly Americans who visit their countries and make complete fools of themselves with their trailer house mentality, fat, sloppy appearance (visiting churches in shorts and flip flops) and uneducated, coarse demeanor. Just drop into Monte Carlo or Geneva one day on vacation and you will open your eyes to how well off they are and why they have no reason to be jealous of you lol. With Bush now sending additional troups to Iraq we are indeed hated all over the world...it's a disgrace! Open your eyes...see the world and educate yourself.

32. This photo is one of the reasons why soccer will NEVER catch on in the US. The other reasons are its a BORING game, with little or no scoring, ties at the end of regulation play are broken by penalty kicks, why call it a team sport? Only the officials on the field know the time remaining. But hey, to each his own. Just because I don't care for it doesn't mean squat: Hell, I don't even like COOKED fish and look at all the people that are crazy for that sushi stuff.
Try as hard as you will, soccer is a hard sell it this country. Now you got openly fagsters playing grab ass...what a world!

33. "As we stood transfixed, watching the after game fireworks display. I felt his strong calloused hand slide every so slowly across my buttocks, snagging on the slick nylon surface. My breath came in short jagged starts, I felt a stiring in my manhood as it jumped at my thoughts of being forced down, face first into the pillow while my dear sweet mansicle, Ronaldo was about to have his way with me. It was never this exciting when I was with my little lover boy, Tom."

36. To #24 southern belle. I have travel all over the world. Israel,Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, England, Senegal, Japan etc. People from other countries are jealous of the fortunes of Americans regardless of how negative americans portray themselves. I still think that if you have to say all of those negative things about the people you surround yourself with maybe you should move away with #4. How about Monte Carlo?

38. I am a proud American, and a longtime soccer player/fan. My wife's family is from Europe and I am often embarrassed at how other American's belittle this sport in public and thru the media. I don't understand their hate towards it. After all, it is the most popular sport in the world. Many Europeans enjoy our sports and you don't here them making comments like the many idiots you commented on this article. Millions of American children are growing up choosing soccer over the big four sports. It is becoming more and more popular and I think it's great. Soccer offers children the opportunity to play a affordable team sport in large numbers. They actually get some exercise rather than wait their turn to swing a bat 3 times then sit again for another 30 minutes. Let’s face it, us Americans are raising fat kids, maybe it’s time we try something new. The homosexual and hate comments made about this article are equivalent to those of a third grader saying “you’re stupid”. I never send in comments, but I was extremely embarrassed for my fellow American’s comments regarding soccer. What are they afraid of?
