K-Fed Joins the Ranks of MC Hammer and Fabio

Kevin FederlineAlthough you won't be seeing Britney's face during the Super Bowl halftime show, her soon to be ex-husband Kevin Federline is set to star in his own commercial.

Nationwide Insurance has hired Federline to star in one of their ads, set to run during some of the most expensive airtime on television. Although we're not exactly sure what talent (and we use the term loosely) K-Fed is going to be showcasing -- but if his commercial is anything like past spokespersons, such as Fabio or MC Hammer -- Kevin will definitely be making fun of himself.

The company's motto "Life comes at you fast" leaves endless ironically satirical plots as possibilities. With Kev and Brit's recent split and custody/financial battle still in the making, it's good to see Federline being proactive and working straight through the last of his fifteen minutes. Someone's got to pay for that apartment in the valley.

31. When he was married to the Cheeto machine, I thought he was a scumbag. It was probably Britney herself leaking stories to the tabloids in hopes of making him out to be the bad guy. But now I'm rooting for K-Fed. He is using his 15 minutes to make money, like ANYONE would. I don't think he'd ever get full custody of the kids, but I hope he at least gets shared custody and a crap load of money from that ho. Looking at the way she has deteriorated over the past couple of years, the man deserves it!

32. to lisad71

did you ever think that he's the reason? maybe being married to him was enough to make anyone see the world a diffrent way once she got rid of him. the two things britney and star have in common is they have kids with him and MORE MONEY WITHOUT HIM !

you didn't see him going after that shar chick's kids. why? because she don't have no money from her kid show she did? AND for her to come out talking trash about britney is tacky on her part. She was her best friends when she was getting a piece of the cake.

HE IS A BACKUP DANCER!!!!!!!!!!! He could always pray for another " you got served" like movie.

33. I am starting to respect the guy and his hard work. At least he still tries to spend time with his kids. But B.S. never seems to be there cause she's out there showing her baggage to everyone. I do think that K-Fed deserves to get custody on his kids, but next time he should observe the chicks he goes out with instead of falling into their traps to play him. I just hope he makes something of this 500K he is getting and puts it to good use.

35. Nationwide picked the right pitchman that matched perfectly with their "Life comes at you fast" tagline. Kevin Federline hyped his rap album in late October, only to later see it sell poorly and enter on the lower rungs on the charts. Britney Spears divorced him afterwards, even crushing him to deep oblivion. I liked the MC Hammer commercial 2 years ago--and it showed that he danced so well into his 40s! Yes, I remember when he did file for bankruptcy, but he has rebounded dramatically on another lucrative level. He's a minister now. I think Nationwide's picking people that had over-the-top decadence and fame, only to later see it sweep and stolen from them. I hope that this Super Bowl ad will boost his rap album sales--it's like the only chance for him to attract a wide audience. A lot of people watch that game every year and Kevin was very recognizable the last year when he was with Britney. I think that now is the right time to make fun of himself with that ad.

36. Okay, I'll admit it, the guy is starting to grow on me. At least he is holding up his end of the deal, taking the kids and supporting his wife. I look at him differently now, for the moment, but I really believe he loves his wife, and wants to help help her get better. And good for you Kev, to be working, a Super Bowl ad no less, I think he's starting to stop taking himself so seriously, and that is refreashing.
