Awards Shows
Oh No They Didn't! Globes' Most Cringe-Worthy

Sometimes awards shows make us weep a little, laugh a little, or sleep a little. And then there are moments that just make us cringe, a lot.
More on TMZ.com
Last night's Golden Globes was no exception. Long after Ryan Seacrest's thoroughly wince-inducing stand-up with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Warren Beatty made us wince with a deeply awkward (and incorrect) "Borat" impression.

Best TV Comedy Actress winner, America Ferrara, positively made us gnash our soup dumplings when she exited the stage after her touching acceptance speech and waited like a glowingly expectant puppy to be interviewed by NBC's Maria Menounos. And waited. And waited. And then had to run offstage, ignored by the blathering Ms. M. Such indignity!

Then, as Prince was a no-show to accept his award for best song, Justin Timberlake waited for his Petite Purple Majesty to come and collect his trophy, then saved the cringe-worthy moment by making himself a foot shorter and accepting on Prince's behalf.

106. sick of angelina and brad. hope he does to her what he did to jennifer.
can't believe her "go from wild woman to holier-than-thou attitude"
she sucks and he has become a first-class wimp. have never liked her(never knew who she was before brad) and he certainly isn't the guy from Thelma and Louise days!

107. Umm.. I watched the Angelina/Brad interview 3 times now and see nothing wrong with it. She looks indifferent and cool. She doesn't sneer at all, she's grinning ear-to-ear the entire time.

If you read any interview she's ever done, she finds the whole fame thing absolutely silly, which it is. She's astounded by the fact that anyone gives a crap about her and her relationship with Brad.

When she says she made cereal for breakfast, it seemed to me her way of saying "I did just what every other mother in the country did this morning and that's where my focus is."

108. I do not believe Angelina should have even answered Ryan 's simple question about breakfast give me a break whats next what time did you have a bowel movement Angelina? We know they aree human like us but they make alot more money and have to deal with living their lives under a microscope!!! yes they chose this when they became movie stars but to be subjected to stupid questions like what you had for breakfast is boring! As far as agreeing that her child is a blob so what, its an infant that can't walk yet!!! she was probably shocked they would ask such stupid questions. Michele

109. The cringe worthy moment of the night--Jeremy Irons! I didn't like that outfit he was wearing! The sleeves were too long and I hated that overcoat! Even 7 days later, that was the only bad outfit I couldn't stand from that show. And Beyonce Knowles' dress was not her best! Too glittery and that was the least exciting dress that I've seen her wear.

110. Angelina is a scank, with a pretty face. The tattoos are gross, and trashy...Brad open your eyes, u can do soooo much better...Jen was beautiful, childless, and decent! If u do not want her, find someone else DECENT!!! Let the wild child go!

111. Angelina's mother is suffering from cancer-Maybe she is devastated, not snobby.

112. nobody with any brains gives a sh*t about h'wood "personalitys" or what they say.

113. They should have talked to Maria Menounos before they started the Golden Globes. Her backstage interviews with the winners as they left the stage were AWFUL! Her questions to winners came out as too tabloidish and invasive. She didn't even approach America Ferrara as she left the stage, never stayed on cue! I can see why ratings of some awards shows like the Grammys, Oscars and American Music Awards are down--because of the cockiness and arrogance of some hosts. It seemed like Maria was saying, I'll do what I want and there's not a damn thing you can do about it! Which comes off as off putting!

114. About Justin Timberlake presenting the award to Prince: The reason Prince didn't accept the award from Justin, is because he is resentful of his success, and the fact that he used the phrase I'm bringing Sexy Back, Prince said in an interview that sexy never left. Too bad Prince, Justin is the MAN!

115. I think that people are over reacting to Angelina's comments. Many parents refer to their newborn children in this way. Most newborn's look like blob's. They are eating and pooping machines. Lovable but not with the personality of an older child. I also would not want to talk with Ryan Seacrest, their family life is none of his business. (Just as his sex life is none of our business.)

116. What is up with "America" (and not the Ugly Betty, "America"), but the collective "America" wanting to vilify Angelina Jolie simply because she did not want to answer Ryan Seacrest's ridiculously inane questions. Then the rush to judgment on calling her tot a "blob?"

First, Who can really blame her for not wanting to talk to that self-important and insipid buffoon? If the woman was in a dour mood, she has every right to be. Did she sign a contract requiring her to be perky 24/7? She was clearly there to support Brad Pitt in his moment, and the idea that she should "fake" her mood to placate some wanna-be interviewer? Give it a rest people. At least she is "real." I commend her for being who she is, without apologies or excuses.

Secondly, newborn children are indeed "blobs." Nevermind that the individual who completed the interview suggested the label, and she merely agreed. Let's get a noose and hang her because she pointed out that babies are initially gelatinous skin and bones, and unable to impart anything in the line of personality. Damn, what a bunch of hypocrites the media is!

My hat is off to any celeb who channels his/her status towards good and to spotlight inequity. I think that she is fan-damn-tastic.

117. #6 - What PRINCE did, by not accepting his award while at a show he accepted an invitation to, was BAD TASTE. Justin just cleaned up an awkard situation.... Prince needs to get over himself, he should feel lucky to still be invited to this crap...

118. Did u guys miss prince at his table 30 minutes before he was announced for his award??? he was not stuck in freakin traffic, if you believe that you might want to get ur head out of ur ass... that's what everyone in LA says when they want to come up with some lame excuse...

it's not about who is more talented, it's about Prince disrespecting the show he was attending by not accepting his award. if it were X presenting the award and Y accepting it I would be saying the same thing. It has nothing to do with musical talent but actions by people.

119. The most fun I have in an evening alone is this site right after an awards show. I dont feel that the reporters have to be smart , just good to look at. The people I wanted to win did: America F. and Jennifer H. Both are young ladies who went against type and can act and sing - they can really DO what they are payed for!!! Yes poor old ( really Old ) Warren B., long rambiling speech about ..what? Even his wife looks old, and shes like 15 years younger than him. I love seeing these people who think they are Gods gift to the world, forget speeches , words to songs, looking like a deer in the headlights- even though they have won awards before( I feel the cause of this is to much to drink and not enough to eat, ya get really loose in a very bad way). And Prince is just well, Prince. Hes a nutty buddy- but his talent says all about him- he has stood the test of time. Like most stars he got full of himself and people stopped careing, he suddenly found he can talk out loud in a crowd and even play with his band -WOW. Anyway # 45, at the end of the day ( lol ) they are just like us , with more money. But we can say and do crazy s*it around family and friends and while they might think we have a problem they will (might) over look it. When you are a star, you wanted the attention so watch what you say and do because WE ARE WATCHING YOU!!!

Love, the Public

Peace and Love :)

120. Prince was stuck in traffic and he arrived at the awards late, he missed his category and that is why Justin Timberlake excepted his award on his behalf. Also later thru the show, I don't remember who it was but they made a comment about Prince being stuck in traffic and had him stand up and take a bow.
