Disney Star Cops Plea in DUI Case

TMZ has learned Anneliese van der Pol has pleaded no contest to DUI after being arrested for driving with a whopping .19 blood-alcohol level.

The "That's So Raven" star was arrested on July 10, 2006 after colliding with a parked car. According to the official report, obtained by TMZ, the crash caused "a domino effect in which the parked vehicle hit two additional vehicles." The report continues: "After hitting the parked vehicle, Defendant then lost control of her vehicle, traveled across the roadway, and finally collided with another vehicle..."

The LAPD arrested van der Pol, whose blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit of .08.

The Disney star pleaded no contest to two misdemeanors -- driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level above .08. The Los Angeles City Attorney's office prosecuted the case.

Sentencing is scheduled for March 19. According to the documents obtained by TMZ, the court has offered Ms. van der Pol 36 months probation and a penalty of $2,844 in fines and assessments. She'll also have to attend
an alcohol education program.

35. She's a wonderful person and a dedicated star actress. If only the judge could see she was simple fulfilling one of Ravens fashion forward preminission. If you ask me Raven's the one who should be punished.

38. Um. This is the first i've heard of this. I guess it's not too important and juss because she's a celb. doesn't mean that she shouldn't get any jail time. I think she should.

39. People keep saying " Yeah well, you can laugh about this now, but imagine if one of your friends was hit by her "
and i think to myself, that would be cool, cause if my rich friend zach got hit by her, his parents would probably bring him back to life, Darth Vader style.
Then we'd play wii on the Death Star and you suckers would still be posting these little gay comments.

40. "If I was one of the producers of That's So Raven, I'd be embarrassed to have Annelise van der Pol on the set of that show. What they need to do is get her off the show so she can get some help."

Uh, Preston, I'm pretty sure all episodes of That's So Raven are done being made. Yes, she did screw-up, and thankfully nobody got killed. And if you read the article, you'd realize getting help is part of her sentence. But what I'd like to know is how this was kept from the public several months after the incident.

42. ok that is really nice people first show's over by take it to mean this but also the actual show That's so Raven they've finished filming it .

and yeh she f***ed up we alll have NO we haven't all driven drunk but umm I know someone who has he got lucky no other person was involved just him but he learned a very important lesson that day and .who are we to say she didn't learn a lesson...see when you're drunk enough to double the legal limit well then your judgement kinda goes to crap with that.

had she not been famous there wouldn't even be a huge conversation online about it.

drunk driving is bad I'm sure the people who throw stones will now lob some in my direction....feel free. I am not defending a celebrity I'm defending a human being.

not my place to judge sorry maybe it's some of yours. I wouldn't know.

anyway first time offense she was lucky no one was hurt pray she learned her lesson and doesn't go the way of Lohan's and hilton's before her.

Good Day

44. I was really shocked to hear about this...I only found out on Wikipedia today and immediately came here.

I think it's fair to say that the incident was covered up in order to avoid negative publicity what with TSR about to finish soon.

I regularly watch TSR on the Disney Channel here in India and Anneliese has always stood out for her rather sweet yet ditsy character, almost modelled on that of Friends's Phoebe. I'm sure that like myself, many of her loyal fans would never have imagined that she would do this.

Rather than lambasting her, I do hope she mends her ways and learns from this episode....I don't think she should worry much about her Disney Contract at the worst-she spoke about how she wanted to break out into more mature roles after TSR anyway.

She's a great actress and singer who can go a long way, I hope she gets through this and comes out of this wiser for the experience.
