Isaiah the Coward

Isaiah WashingtonIsaiah Washington apologized to everyone in the world for using the word "faggot," but he never made it clear if he had, in fact, hurled the insult at T.R. Knight during a physical fight with "Grey's" co-star Patrick Dempsey.

You'll recall that last October, Washington allegedly exploded at Dempsey and said, "I'm not your little faggot like T.R."

At the Globes on Monday, Isaiah finally responded and said he never used the word "faggot." That comment drew lots of criticism and now Washington has said he's sorry. What he actually said was, "By repeating the word Monday night, I marred what should have been a perfect night for everyone..." So, he's sorry he said it Monday night. But what about that incident on the set? Is he saying he lied when he claimed he never used the word "faggot" on the set? And, by the way, what does Washington mean when he says "By repeating the word" faggot? Is he acknowledging the lie when he said he never used the word?

All morning, TMZ called multiple people from Washington's camp, and from "Grey's" to get some clarity. Radio silence. No one will comment.

The one thing we can say... what a wuss for not taking his medicine like a man.

34. who really give a sh*t about using 'that word.' people who really care are so gay, it's ridiculous. Bid deal so he said faggot. I truly cannot believe that is even an issue. People need to get lives and worry about themselves other than isaiah washington saying a funny word.

36. Many, many accomplished and talented people in show business are gay. Gay people don't need to get used to hateful slurs. Isaiah needs to learn how to work with gay people in a way which is respectful and dignified, or else change professions. Isaiah needs to "get over" his homophobia or else change careers and surround himself with others who think like he does.

No straight person can say the being gay is "a choice." That's absurd. Only a gay person can explore the origin of their sexuality. But, whether it's a choice or not, hateful name-calling is childish and inexcusable for grown men, particularly when the name is one that has incited so much violence, even murder, over the years. Isaiah is in a public position, and with that comes responsibility. The word he keeps saying has accompanied and incited murders and violence for years. His behavior can't be justified.

42. the colored guy did not have any sincerity apologizing the first time and when he aplogized the second time at the golden globes with all the cast members behind him ready to thrown up when he called the guy the f word again imagine if anyone called him the N word, what would happen we would hear from al sharpton and jesse jackson for days on end

43. he only reason i am upset with Mr.Washington is the fact that he didn' t stand up as a man and an American for his use of his first amendment right.
People, let's get the hell over our races, religions and sexual preferences. If you're that uptight about any or all three of these, you need to check yourself. It wouldn't be a big thing if you didn't make it a big thing. This political correctness b.s. has gotten way out of hand.
Don't be afraid to call a spade a spade or a fag a fag, otherwise at the rate the first world is being feminised the thought police will not be something out of a George Orwell book, they will be knocking on your doors.

44. Nobody is hating on IW, I think he is a f**king coward because he wasn't man enough to admit, he said the word even after a public apology. Who apologizes in front of the media for something they didn’t say or do? Whatever, he is a liar. I don't think he should get fired over it but if he were sincere about the apology he wouldn't have denied it after the fact. He should’ve replied that the situation was handled and left it at that.

I don't think people are saying nigger=faggot, they are both very derogatory words that are offensive. There is not a derogatory word for heterosexuals so you can't compare being called a faggot to a word that doesn't exist. I am 100% against homosexuality but nobody deserves to be called out of their names especially with derogatory slurs. I agree that sometimes people say things out of anger. But, he didn’t have to insult JR who had nothing to do with the little quarrel IW and Patrick D. were having.
