Isaiah the Coward

Isaiah WashingtonIsaiah Washington apologized to everyone in the world for using the word "faggot," but he never made it clear if he had, in fact, hurled the insult at T.R. Knight during a physical fight with "Grey's" co-star Patrick Dempsey.

You'll recall that last October, Washington allegedly exploded at Dempsey and said, "I'm not your little faggot like T.R."

At the Globes on Monday, Isaiah finally responded and said he never used the word "faggot." That comment drew lots of criticism and now Washington has said he's sorry. What he actually said was, "By repeating the word Monday night, I marred what should have been a perfect night for everyone..." So, he's sorry he said it Monday night. But what about that incident on the set? Is he saying he lied when he claimed he never used the word "faggot" on the set? And, by the way, what does Washington mean when he says "By repeating the word" faggot? Is he acknowledging the lie when he said he never used the word?

All morning, TMZ called multiple people from Washington's camp, and from "Grey's" to get some clarity. Radio silence. No one will comment.

The one thing we can say... what a wuss for not taking his medicine like a man.

46. who the hell cares if someone called someone else a faggot? I call my friends queers and faggots all the time.

Posted at 5:26PM on Jan 19th 2007 by who cares?

47. He was in a fight with the guy for Pete's sake. Give him a break, we've all said it at one time or another. Among other things. But you know, you can't say nothing about gays anymore. I'm black and the word "niggar" don't bother me a bit, b/c I know I am not that. I am better than that. We put too much on words. Leave the guy alone, it wasnt like he was passing the guy in the hall and called him a faggot , they were in a fight.

48. WHO CARES!?! I'm tired of hearing about this crap! There was a personal dispute on the set, and I.T. used the first derogatory term that came to mind. If a fat lady cuts in front of me at the checkout line, and I'm having a bad day, I'm probably going to call her a "fat bitch." It has nothing to do with me having a problem with fat people in general. Anyhow, who made TMZ the ultimate moral authority? YOUR A CELEBRITY GOSSIP BLOG! Get over yourselves! Don't you have a Hilton shopping spree to cover?

50. who really cares if he called him a faggot? I would have called him a c**ksucker. I mean come on people he does blow men. As long as I remember it is pretty gay to love the c**k. It doesn't really if you do all the manly things in life, like drink black coffe, whiskey straight, build a house with your barely hands....suck one c**k and your faggot.

51. Those of you who don't like gay people had better stop watching TV and movies, because Hollywood is full of them!

52. Before I say anything, I am not a homophobe. I think T R Knight is adorable and as a straight woman I am gealous that the guys got this one. However, how many times have you or anyone said something stupid and wished you could take it back? I know I have done it a gazzillion times especially after a few drinks. Fortunately we are not famous, so no one is counting. I do think he apologized and I'm sure he really is sorry. Unfortunately some people do not realize how some words can be ofensive. I mean really there is no book on words that shouldn't be said, there are the obvious ones but there are many, many less obvious.
Truth be told the word faggot has probably come out of everyones mouth at some time. So now we know we should'nt say it. He is sorry, lets get over it, OK. We need to stop giving the whole thing more publicity than it deserves.

55. he's sorry for repeating the word in his response to the reporter who asked about the incident. fine. whether or not he's sorry about fighting with dempsey, who cares? as long as he's apologized to T.R. for everything, then i think the world should move on.

56. TMZ, this all on you. I notice the Kramer Tirade with it's close to 7800 post is your baby. Keep the Isaiah comments alive and keep coming show that You and the staff love the sex and race wars that go on.
