Brown's Will -- From Silver to Appliances

TMZ has obtained a copy of James Brown's will, and it reads like the will of a guy who didn't have much -- other than knickknacks.

The will, which begins by noting that Brown is also known as "The Godfather of Soul," leaves his six children "furniture, appliances, furnishings, pictures, silverware, china, glass, books, jewelry, wearing apparel, boats, automobiles, and other vehicles..."

The document, signed in 2000, does not mention how much cold hard cash the estate is worth.

Brown did not include his partner, Tomi Rae Hynie or their 5-year-old child. Hynie is expected to contest the will and could end up inheriting 1/3 of the estate.

17. James Brown is nothing, he needed to get all his things in order instead of having more children.. you're right the 5 year was probably not his, as he appears too darn olde to have a 5 year old, however; he needed to keep his pecker in his pants.. What a greedy family be brought up.....what a sad story for a legend!!

20. Let me make this clear to the people that don't do math well...I agree with the many that mentioned how the will was made in 2000...That was before this young boy was born...Though James could of changed it when the little boy was born...Like someone told me yesterday..we don't know what James knew about Tomi Rae..he might of knew that she was a gold digger and wanted to keep it to himself and take it to his grave..There are many things we don't tell people and we just tell it to God alone...Another thing I will add is that if he spent time with the boy throughout his life so far..This child should get some money..whether the dna fits or not...DNA does not make someone a father these days...Being there makes someone a father...I saw Tomi Rae on Larry King ..first I felt bad for her..but then while she was close to tears..in the same breath she said that Mr. James Brown left their son a wide load of cash and told her to take it out..I think after the day he died..and also that she has his social security money...I believe that if this woman is a liar and a gold digger..that if she is given anything else..and she moves in his estate with another man in like a week..she should be stripped of that and the boy should be kept with family...I do feel that James' daughter are being very shady by not speaking up for the child....DNA or not..they had to watch that child grow...They are his family..Shame on them...and Shame on all of them for not putting the man to rest...

21. A DNA test has been ordered by his lawyer to establish if the child is his. That is the first step. Has anyone watched this woman's antics on TV? She has problems and she was yelling at the child to say he loved his daddy. He was scared like he was afraid not to do what she said. He is only 5 and it was terrible to see it. She also has the whine but not the tears in most interviews. She wants the money definitely and will do anything to get it. I am not so sure she deserves it since the wedding was never made legal after she got her other marriage annulled. They had several years to do that and it was never done to make it legal. I had heard he was sick for awhile and it seems this would have been a priority at his age to have covered those angles if he wanted them covered. I think the will was new enough to cover his desires.

22. listen why was he so cheap, he should have updated the will did he want to be buried with the money, probably he didnt want to be buried he wanted people to go right on mourning him, how weird is that, not leaving his kid a lot is awful, and if he wasnt sure the kid wasnt his, he had plenty of time to do a blood test, he was cheap, and the lady seemed sincere, but not the loud singer

23. They should give James Brown a 50 state tour so we can all see him. That'd be funny if someone was going up to see him and he jumped up dead saying "I FEEL GOOD!"

24. David, since I'm part of his generation it seems stupid to call the woman a shank being that he was having sex with that so-call shank. It's not like this man could pass judgement on anyone considering she love to beat women. Also, DNA test would have told him if the child was his. I think he knew it was his and he's rotting in hell for the treatment of this child, not the mother, but the child. The reason why alot artist in that generation didn't have any money is because they lived way above the money they made and had alot kids out of wed-lock. They never planned for tomorrow they just lived for today.

25. Please, refrain from disrespecting The Godfather and his family, Annie Fannie. You don't know these people or half of what's going on. J.B. was a master controller, but he didn't make mistakes. If Tommy Rae was such a vigilant, devoted, deserving wife, then why didn't she see to it that James was getting some medical attention before she went to the crazy house for Christmas? Why was she playing crazy, but now she's all over the media demanding control of more of J.B.'s assets? Is this alleged crazy woman fit to raise this child and be in absolute control of his possible inheritance? Sure, James asked for a DNA test and had his doubts, but the control over that kind of money, should not be given to a woman who checks herself into an assylum for Christmas. For Christ's sake, bury the man's remains & find a decent guardian to raise the child.

26. What is the great deal about money? I have been in places on this planet and I have never seen any public monument to richness! JB was simply the GREATEST. His monnument will for ever stand tall in the world of Music. In life as in death he has no real need for money. He made the planet very rich in music and we have all inherited that!

27. To all of you that don't think its possible the child belongs to the pakistian husband and maybe JB, thought that but own him cause he new TRae was flying across the country too hang out with Motley Crew sister in the mansion doing who knows what . She didn't love him if she did she wouldn't have start talking money and things on the same day he died. What was JB thinking not too put at least one of his kids over his trust. He has one that is a Dr. instead all lawyers out of augusta the south ,be lucky if anything be their for a legacy. For what he did for children and gave a school 10,000.00every year to keep they band going I hope somebody care enough too keep doing what he ask, and hope his lawyers honest ,time will tell.He should have gotten the paper work done along time ago to buried his self on his estate and a good lawyer would have advised him of that . the child money should go intrust till he 25 cause TRae will use it up in drugs so I hear. don't no the people. May GOD Bless them all money bring out the evil

28. Having lived down the road from Mr. Brown, I can only say what we have all seen. He was given a ex-amount of spending money to go on these tours. Someone paid for his hotels and flying accommodations. He really had nothing. The rumor has it that he turned everything over to his attorney and good friend,Mr.Bradley, after he got into the trouble with the law. The one where he had to spend some time in prison. He was on the verge of losing what little bit he had. So the rumors goes that he more or less sold his name and his music rights to these..TRUSTEES..and in return their handle everything for him.Helping to keep himself busy on tours and more or less paying him, as if he was a employee. This is only rumor of course, but we do wonder how much of this is true, since, we see them trying to determine where they will make the most money off him. By that statement, I mean, he has yet to be buried because it seems like they are trying to see if burying him in Beech Island will bring more people or whether they need to do it in Augusta Georgia.Either way, maybe one day he can finally be at peace..

29. I am glad James didn't leave that tramp anything. I saw the Larry King interview and she was crying crocodile tears. I don't believe that James is the father of the five year old. Tramps don't know who the fathers are............

30.

This is a big mess and I think everyone should just back off and think "What Would James Brown Want"? A lot has been said and shown
like the great coverage of the Funerals like http://JamesBrowns.com where you can download a personal version and print from the PDF file a copy of the Services program both family and public and links to site like Tomi Rae personal blog site.

Now if the fight for Money would slow down and the lawyers be pushed back from the table a bit..everyone will do what James wanted. That was to take care of his family ALL OF IT.
