Peterson Intruder: I'm Not Guilty

TMZ has learned that the man who was stabbed at the home of celebrity fitness guru Gunnar Peterson has pleaded not guilty to felony assault charges stemming from the violent incident last December.

23-year-old Nick Marino, who is free on $300,000 bail, entered the plea at Beverly Hills Courthouse earlier today. Marino was stabbed by a security guard with a pocket knife after allegedly breaking into Peterson's Beverly Hills mansion.

Sources tell TMZ that Marino and Gunnar's estranged wife, Janet Crown Peterson, were at one point romantically involved, but the relationship ended roughly five months ago. Janet then alleged in court documents that Marino stalked her and threatened violence.

Neither Gunnar nor Janet were home at the time of the stabbing. If convicted, Marino could face up to four years in jail. He is due back in court March 8.

5. I too believe the security guard should face charges!! What kind of security officer stabs someone, which then leads to my next question what the security officer set up? Possibly by peterson or someone else, not naming names. I am very pleased to heard Nick's is out on bail... WOW amazing news. I also believe he can get through this. He is not a quitter and is wiling to do anything and everything to get his life back into place. You have to remember it takes others a lot longer to get through recovery, not everyone is the same. Which i will say Nick is a very special person.. I am with him 100% of the way and will be here for him through anything and everything.. People should stop assuming and look in depth into the story, the truth is there but you have to be looking hard for it.. He will get through this... He has a lot of support and people who care about him...
