31. I agree with Lynn # 31, pretty standard stuff....but it makes me laugh thinking of Paris doing community service, picking up roadside trash??? Maybe she could take some ladies from the homeless shelters shopping at the Galleria.

32. Paris did not get off easy. It was not a slap on the wrist, that is the minimum that can be ordered for a first time offender.

My first DUI was last year and it is similar to Paris' penalty. All you people are so easy to start hating on Paris. Get a REAL hobby. Hate is NOT a Hobby!

34. imho she got it pretty rough...here in florida you usually only get 6-12 months probation and suspension, and that's with a higher bah....from personal experience, i know this for a fact...i had a lawyer who was able to get me out of doing community service, madd meetings, and impoundment...it was no fun and i still had other things to deal with that i deserved, but i couldn't imaging having to be on probation for 24-36 months!...also, while on probation, you're not supposed to be drinking at all, period...and have to stay away from bars, etc....it's a violation of probation...atleast here it is....i don't think she got any special treatment...i think it was fair...for once.

35. The 3 year probation won't be a walk in the park for Paris. I wonder if it is supervised or unsupervised? Meaning, will she be required monthly meetings w/ a probation officer? Which include monthly /random piss tests. If unsupervised, no monthly meetings. I have to say DUI's are much harsher than they used to be. Under the old laws, .10 was legally intoxicated. .08 is like one drink. I still hate Parisite, but this DUI crap is ridiculous. Better her than me though!

40. Clearly this isn't going to be the life changing event one would hope for Paris.
She is such a vacuous vapid girl and this slap on the wrist isn't going to change a thing. Too bad for her; when you don't learn important life lessons from those who love you, then you have to learn it from life experience. 41. I despise the parasite, but she got the fairly standard punishment for first time offenders in California. Amazing to me though that the news story of Paris called the "alcohol education course" is the EXACT same thing that got called alcohol "rehabilitation" for Nick Carter. They got basically the same punishment for first time offenders-he goes to "rehab" in the press, she goes to "school.".....

42. At 0.08 her alcohole level was at the bare minimum and she should not have been arrested in the first place.

The deal she got was what any first DUI case would get in California.

I guess Paris Hilton thought it was smarter to pay the fine than to pay lawyers endless money to fight the case.

She can hire a steady driver for a whole year for what the lawyers would cost her to fight the fine. Smart girl.

And all you haters are just jealous and grasping at any little straw to try and make Ms Hilton look bad. That also gores for TMZ.
But Paris Hilton does great in spite of all of you low lives.

car and actually killed about 5 people in Santa Monica
and GOT PROBATION. So the fact that Ms. Hilton got
probation is no big deal. This is America, justice costs money
and the more money you have the more justice you get.

44. I am constantly amazed at some posters who call Paris Hilton talentless or whatever. This is simply not true.

Just about anything this young lady touches turns to gold.

Her CD has sold around 520,000. Her beauty products sell well and she just now started selling a new line of purses at Macys.

Her standard fee for an appearance has gone up to one million dollars. And from what I hear,she is doing some movies too.

You would have to explain to me how all this makes her stupid or a whore. As usual,jealousy rears its ugly head.
It is standard procedure to call a successful woman any number of names but that does not change economic facts at all.

It seems to me, the only stupid people are the ones who underestimate this dynamo called Paris Hilton. She has the last laugh.
