Celebrity Feuds
Rosie vs. Oprah in Another Bitchfest?

Rosie O'Donnell, Oprah WinfreyRosie O'Donnell took to her blog again, this time taking swipe at the Talk Queen herself, Oprah Winfrey.

At issue was Oprah's interview last Thursday with kidnap victim Shawn Hornbeck and his family. Rosie, in her non-sensical, haiku-meets-illiterate-rambling kinda way, refers to Hornbeck on her blog as "paraded out for america to see." She goes on:

"after 4 years captive
a new haircut couldn't hide
his tormented eyes"

But Rosie -- long considered an advocate for the rights of children (and homosexuals, and fat people, and Broadway musicals) -- did find someone above rebuke; the parents of the other kidnapped boy, Ben Ownby:Oprah gallery: Click to launch photos

"ben
will not be appearing
on tv today
a moment of sanity"

Careful Rosie, going after the Donald is one thing, but you might not want to take on the O. Has anyone seen James Frey lately?

61. Yes, everybody is entitled to their opinion and yes, everybody has one. To be honest, I almost always agree with Rosie's view, but I think the reason people attack her is because of her approach, not her actual opinion. Why? Because, she shows absolutely no respect for anyone who disagrees with her. You just can't expect others to respect your view when you don't respect theirs. It's that simple. I wish she would learn this.

62. OK guys, ruminate on this for a minute...
If Rosis was a gorgeous, thin, sexy heterosexual woman, would all this wrath come down on her? I doubt it. It's homophobia at it's subtle best.
She actually makes so much sense. We all know 'The Donald' is an egotisical blowhard, and the parents of Shawn, should have known better. Did Oprah write a nice Harpo Inc. check to these people? Pray tell...

63. Rosie really needs to get a life. She feels as if she can say and do what the hell she wants too, and it's alright. While if no ask you, you should just keep it to your self. She can mess with Ms. O if she want to she will get broken down like a fraction.... Stick with what you know and with what u do.......

64. All you Rosie bashers are nuts. What's she supposed to do? Come out on stage, sit there and say NOTHING? The View is just that...THE VIEW! She has as much right to say what she feels as the other women, yet as much as they say, I don't hear anyone ragging on them! Oprah is getting too damn big for her britches. I am bored with her crap. Sure she is a billionaire...but FOR WHAT? All she does it TALK. How come HER opinion is GOD'S WORD? You all need a reality check. You're making her richer for nothing. If Rosie was thin and straight, none of you would have a damn thing to criticize her for. And as for D-man, you have to be without a doubt the absolutely most disgusting poster on this site. God help your parents (that is IF humans gave birth to you, which I highly doubt!) for raising a scum bag degenerate like you. I can only imagine what THEY must be like, and it ain't a pretty thought. Do us all a favor and get a job. You seem to have alot of anger, and time on your hands!

65. I agree with the charming bull headed Rosie on this one. Shawn's parents BEFORE CONSULTING A SHRINK with no education of their own decided that they and Shawn should be on TV. Didnt anyone see his clenched fists when he was forced to hug the two policemen who found him ? Do you know any 15 year old that would be savvy enough to handle the media? Can any of you appreciate how embarassed a 15 yr old might be at all the embarassing attention? Jeez, he got a STANDING ovation on on Oprah. I will bet you my paycheck Oprah would not have been emotionally ready after her childhood sex abuse . Also, if her friend Gayle King's two sons had been in the same position Gayle NEVER would have allowed her kids to be put under such scrutiny. Oprah presents herself as the all knowing psycho babble guru and she should have known better. The parents were unsophisticated country folk and OPRAH took advantage. She would have scored so many more brownie points had she allowed the parents only but turned down their allowing Shawn to speak. She even asked the kid questions pertaining specifically to the case which could have hindered prosecution. She crossed the line and lost me after all these years as a viewer. Don't tell me that if she didn't do the interview than someone else would have. How refreshing to have a talk show host state that although she could have interviewed the boy she decided it was in the child's best interest not to do so. He was taken at 11. Emotionally , he may not have increased to 15. Nobody knows. But I do know he was emotionally victimized again by Oprah and his pleasant if somewhat obtuse parents.

66. If just one employee of TMZ had a fraction of Rosie Odonnell's brains, what a difference it would make. Rosie is one of the extremely limited niumber of "celebrities" who has actually managed to remain a human being with interests outside herself. She has opinions, strong opinions, and especially when it comes to children. She did NOT, and I repeat NOT criticize the all powerful Winfrey, she merely let it be known that it effected her, personnally, to see this child paraded before millions when he is as vulnerable as an open wound. This is not to say she would be afraid to criticize the self proclaimed spokesperson for the multitudes worshipping at her altar. Rosie couldn't care less.

67. IRosie tells it like it is - what's the problem with that? It's her blog - she can do and say whatever she likes. I have to agree with her on this Shawn Hornbeck issue. This boy has been through hell and his parents think a media tours what he needs - what can they be thinking? And I lost alot of respect for Oprah watching the interview she did w/ Shawn. I don't care if she was just asking what everyone wants to know. She should be a human being first. How dare she ask that boy why - anyone asking why he didn't do this or that is a moran. He was traumatized. And asking why - no matter how one words it - puts the blame on him. Oprah was wrong to even interview that boy. Oprah was molested and raped and became pregnant as a young girl - how would she like if someone asked her why she didn't tell? Why did she hide her pregnany? Stupid questions like that. Her interview w/ Shawn made me sick.

68. here we go again. GRRR! Not once did Rosie mention Oprah BUT the kids parents. I agree with Rosie the parents are nuts 2 put their son thru that what the hell is wrong with them? I would NEVER put my kids thru that. They are freakin SICK!
I think its funny how they twisted this story but wheres the video of todays show??? they show all the others but not this one???
Hmmm... maybe because they just want you to believe what they report half truths. I saw the show today and she did NOT mention Oprah! It wasnt about her but the parents. When will the people wake up to the fact that the media twists everything for a good juicy story!! when will it end Geesh!!!

69. lliz... what Rosie said about trump had nothing to do with giving that girl a 2nd chance maybe you should go to youtube and open your ears and listen to what Rosie said. She was refering to the fact that trump belittled her... like his past behavior has ever been perfect!

70. If I were the President of ABC, Rosie would of been standing in the unemployment line long time ago. That B-tch, needs to keep her big mouth shut!

I'm glad that Oprah had the families on. It needs to be brought to peoples attention how many sick, wacko people live in these 50 United States we have here. If that kid didn't recongnized that truck, those kids would of never been found. Hey, Rosie, what if it were one of you're kids that was taken by a sick pervertt, you would have had you're child's face all over the news. I don't think what Oprah did was a bad idea. I think it has done some good. Maybe there's another wacko out there holding children. I think it would inspire those who have been taken from their families that their maybe hope for them also to escape & be reunited to their families.

71. On this particular note, I agree with Rosie. The kid should not be on TV, why is the poor guy not at home spending quality time with his family? Are the parents and the kid getting paid to go on TV? Rosie is speaking her mind and boosting ratings as always. It's all any of this is for. It's all TMZ is for! The more views they have the better off they are. SO, as long as we continue to come here and bash any tom, dick or harry who happens to get on TMZ or ANY website, news station, television show, etc. we are only assisting the people who we're rolling our eyes over. What is on Rosie's blog has nothing to do with Oprah, is not a smack in the face against her. It's about the kids who were abducted by this sick man and how she feels about them being paraded on television. Before you continue to bash, whether you like her or not, do a little research to be sure TMZ isnt feeding you a line of bull. And remember, we never get the full story. Everything is ALWAYS taken out of context. We only get what they want us to know, and they can make anyone look as bad as they want to, all they have to do is a little copy, paste or cut. (I'm thinking mainly cut.)

72. Rosie, enough already, it is one thing to be gay and proud of it , which you should, no one wants to live in a body that really isn't them genetically. But....I am sick of you trying to cram in down our throats. Rosie you are supposed to be an advocate not a BULLY! Lighten up! Go with the children's advocacy!!! Goldette

73. RIGHT ON ROSIE RIGHT ON.....I just dont get why Oprah would think this would be good for the kid, that's all I care about here is that poor kid.

74. Should no one in this country be curious as to how and why this boy was missing for 4 years?

Should no parent be curious as to how to prevent something like this in there own home?

Should Rosie accept the fact that she is NOT the mouth piece for all those lifestyles categorized as OTHER?

Everyone has an opinion but not everyone should put it in the media......she's a couch jump away from being in time out with Tom Cruise

Sometimes, Rosie, just keep it to yourself

75. #14 - Duh. Of course radical anything is dangerous. Please don't mention bombs okay. That's not attributed to "religion". It's the people running religion down to the ground, and that's why radical anything is dangerous.
