Simon's Web Idol: TMZ!

Any "American Idol" fan will tell you that Simon Cowell is not easy to please. TMZ is doing something right, because the acerbic Brit is a fan.

Our camera spotted Cowell leaving the posh Ivy restaurant yesterday afternoon with girlfriend Terri Seymour. The idol judge had no love for a paparazzo who tried to give him a hat from his agency -- "I am not going to wear a hat!"

But when Simon spotted our cameraman, he turned that frown upsidedown. "I like TMZ.com," he cooed in his British accent.

Does that mean we're on to Hollywood?

17. I love Simon! He tells it like it is on Idol and former Idol contestants, Taylor Hicks and Fantasia said he is just preparing them for the business when he makes his comments. His book is a good read BTW. Since Simon has worked his way up in the Industry, I do believe that he knows what he is talking about...

18. I commend Cowell on his consistent honesty, albeit sometimes entertainingly caustic, as he lobs truthful criticisms against the vast majority of the Idol contestants. This is what the over-indulged-delusional-no-talents deserve. Our society has become too pc with more emphasis being placed on making everyone feel special and oh, heaven forbid, not insulting any of the poor little dears, because, well, at least they tried....blah, blah, blah. Rubbish!! The recent furor against Cowell because of his comments lobbed against the two "disabled" and "afflicted" contestants in the disqualifying Seattle show is proof of how off base too many have become. Neither of these two individuals waved their banner of affliction or disability in front of the judges noses. Had they, no doubt they would've expected preferential treatment and be given unearned high praise just because they showed up and tried. Neither sounded good, had any talent and looked disheveled - just like all of the other Idol contestants down through the years; another result of our ovedr-indulgent-pc-warped society. Disabilities aside, too many show up to audition for the Idol because they've been told by warped family and friends that they have talent. Sorry folks, but the vast majority of people occupying this earth neither have talent or intelligence. The fact that each of these two now has an agent, just to give them unearned exposure in order to make them feel good, is yet another indicator of how idiotic our society has b ecome. Thankfully, Cowell has the temerity to be truthful and honest. Too bad if the truth hurts or offends. We need more Cowell's in all walks of life!!
