136. The first thing that I was told in my Drivers Ed class. Was
"To never take my eyes off the road. Everything that you think that won't happen to you. Will happen to you in one second, when you take your eyes off the road."

138. Most car "accidents" are caused by careless drivers. So PLEASE be careful out there!!

139. Come on people, some of you all really need to go somewhere and get checked. Why are you all trying to be so hard on Brandy. Yes there was an accident that was caused by her, but she did not mean to do it. It is horrible that someone end up passing away in this accident, but the point remains that it was an ACCIDENT. Brandy was not under the influence of drugs or anything else. She was not speeding, she just did not pay attention. No that does not excuse the fact, she was at fault, and I pretty sure she will have to pay for it; but she does not deserve to go to jail over it. I am sure many of you have been in accidents that was your fault, but just because you were at fault does not mean you should go to jail. Some of you are saying just because she is famous, IT DON"T MATTER IF SHE IS FAMOUS OR NOT. You would not want to be judged like that. You know what, let God do his job, and STOP trying to do it for him. I am praying for the family that lost their loved one, and I am also praying that God heals Brandy from the thoughts one day. We learn lessons everyday and this is a lesson learned to many people. And for the one that said she thinks because she is famous she can rule the road, you are crazy. She put her life in danger too, so you know it was not that she had planned it. If you don't like Brandy as an artist, that is your opinion, but to sit up here and say that she deserves to go to jail and whatever else, that is just a stupid statement. These types of accidents happen everyday and you don't care, it is just the fact that she is famous which has everyone talking. Get a life, actually get in church and find God, because some of you really need him.

140. I think it is a tragic situation for both families at hand. Yes, a life was taken but it wasn't her fault. It was an accident. Would it had been any different if she wasn't famous and the woman life that was taken was. Or is this a racial issue because Brandy is black and the woman was hispanic. Or is this about money and the system how the rich get over and the poor suffer. What if this had happen to you.

141. My thoughts and prayers go out to all that were involved.
I cant' imagine how Brandy is dealing with this. Something like this is going to be rough to live with for the rest of her life. I do not judge her though, heck it was an accident. I can't count how many times in the 20 years that i've been driving that i came close to causing accidents. It can happen to anyone. It's always been my worst fear to accidently take a life in a car accident.
I was in a bad accident that i caused on the interstate back in 1997 in Va Beach virginia. I was in a rush, on my way to work. i had looked down to fish for my lighter to light a cigerette and looked up and the interstate traffic that went up on an incline /traffic was at a dead stop from some other accident. and i rammed into a lady and i was doing 60 miles per hour ATLEAST. At the time it happened i didnt' care about me, or my car or anything. I was stressed about the lady that i had hit. and THANK GOD she was ok.
I just hope Brandy gets some GOOD support and counseling so this doesnt' ruin her life, she's so young and talented. The good thing is, she's a strong christian and her faith in GOD will help .
But, above all else, i'm praying for the family of the lady that died. =(
Just remember, those that judge and think ugly of Brandy, -- It could happen to anyone!!!!!!!!

142. I have "NO" sympathy for celebrities who pay off people so that they can continue to conduct themselves as "holier than thou" in the publics eye! I'm sure Brandy is a nice person, and accidents do happen, but if any of us (normal) folks rear ended someone at 65 miles/hr, do you think it wouldn't be our fault? It's the universal law: follow 1 car distance behind the other car! At 65 miles/hr that's on the person who's following! Besides that: Brandy lost points with me when she "PRETENDED" to be married on national T.V. to save face for having a baby (who's gorgeous by the way) out of "wed-lock"!!!

144. A lot of people have a lot to say. The bottom line as far as the speed limit goes is; you are to drive at a safe speed according to traffic conditions. ( Read your California Vehicle code phamplet) You may get educated. Some spelling courses might help also.

145. "Her 'fake marriage' and 'bastard baby' has nothing to do with the accident/incident."
It has everything to do with it. It shows Brandy is not above lying to get out of a difficult situation.

146. 2 Things:
1. I'll bet you anything she was on a cell phone, music loud, not paying attention to the road ! Want to bet !!
2. The 911 Operator asked some STUPID questions that delayed the response ! Color of car, anyone injured, etc. HELLO ! The guy said Bad Accident - probably people hurt, several caars involved etc. How about " OK sir, help is on the way ! Color of car - what a freakin joke !

147. Well the first think that is going to happen is her auto policy is going to be cancelled. Second if she does not have a huge amount of liability coverage on her policy (which most people do not have) of at least 1 Mil. Hopefully being that she is a celebrity her people have advised her to get a large amount of coverage. Then the lawyers will go beyond the extend of her insurance policy and seek monetary damages from her personal holdings (property, stock, investment, salary, etc.) She probably will also be facing several law suits since more than one vehicle was involved.

148. I do not believe they will press manslaughter charges against her, but she will more than likely be facing a major law suit that could leave her bankrupt, as more than one vehicle was involved, more than likely she will be sued by more than just this woman's family. This person was killed and that is very, very serious. There is lost of life involved and now this woman's child is motherless. Brandy is a mother herself so she should understand. This is a tragic situation. One of the worse things that could happen to person; is that you take someone's life by accident, cause you can't bring them back.

149. Unless Brandy Norwell, was under the influence of any illegal substances, or alcohol, there should be no criminal charges filed. People have accidents everyday of the year. Unfortunately, that's the price you pay when you drive a vehicle. Drivers don't only have to watch out for themselves, but for other drivers as well. One split second, and many lives can be shattered. For her neglegience in not slowing down, she will probably be found liable. Once again, that's the price you pay when you are responsible for the proper management of an automobile. My heart and condolences go out to first the family, of the deceased, and then to Brandy, it will be a mistake, that very well could have been prevented, that she will have to live with for the rest of her life.

150. I have not read anyone else's comments yet because I am still shocked! I have to ask how the state can possibly be considering if they should prosecute for, and this is the part I can't understand, (1) year and or $1,000.00!???!? How does a person admittedly take someone's life and "maybe" face a misdemeanor?? WTF? By the way, about 15 years ago the law was changed from traffic "accident" because it is NOT an accident!! At least 1 person is Responsible and the woman in the stopped car is hard to fault! Is anyone else confused how the possible sentence is SO ubsurd??? I don't mean to seem ignorant or angry I just can't understand it!!
