Star Catcher
Old Farts Party with "Marty"

Hollywood's alta cockers rolled out of bed, took off their slippers, and put on their dancing shoes to celebrate the 90th birthday of a true Hollywood legend -- Ernest Borgnine (1955's Best Actor Oscar-winner for "Marty").

TMZ's cameras caught all the "excitement" in front of trendy Madeo restaurant, where we spotted "Singin' in the Rain" legend Debbie Reynolds (74), "Law & Order" senior Dennis Farina, "Beach Blanket Bingo" star Don Rickles (80), "Mannix" Mike Connors (81), "Scarface" bad boy Robert Loggia (77), "Palm Springs Weekend" star Connie Stevens (68), and in the most random appearance of the night, "La Bamba" star Lou Diamond Phillips.

16. It's one thing to recognize the accomplishments of a wonderful actor and legend out on the town celebrating a mile stone birthday with piers and it's another thing when TMZ has to stoop to new lows with undeserving sound effects. They are tacky and you should remove them- It does not do your site any good- It was probably posted by a very young imature individual that has no idea who these real celebrities are and how they contributed to Hollywood as we knew it-

18. I think Harvey Levin should change the title of this piece. Borgnine has a rich history of wonderful films and enormous talent-far more than anyone who works at this little pretend "journalism school" will ever have. I met Tova Borgnine when I used to go to her salon in Beverly Hills. Her mother also was there and they were the kindest and nicest people you would want to meet. Very down to earth. Happy Birthday to Mr. Borgnine.

21. A absolute lack of respect for those who have given decades of entertainment to so many people.
Shame on TMZ for the lack of dignity and respect these fine actors deserve.

22. I think some RESPECT should be shown to these actors. We should all hope to live a full and happy life that these people.

I met Debbie Reynolds at LAX last year. She's a wonderful, funny and sweet woman. She didn't have one once of "I'm a STAR" tude.

Harv, this is WAY out of line. Since when did that hog Perez start writing for you?

23. These actors are all legends and deserve more respect than the stupid "fart" sound effects, which were so annoying and unnecessary. Not even funny...

24. A CLASSY GENTLEMAN DEPICTED IN A CLASSLESS WAY! HOW STUPID CAN YOU GET? NO SOUND EFFECTS WERE NECESSARY EXCEPT THOSE WISHING MR. BORGNINE A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO WHICH I ADD MINE.

25. Shame on TMZ. Your fart noise back at the A Hole who put it in. Dumb sh*t

26. TMZ should remove those sound effectects ASAP. And fire the Jerk who put it in the video.

27. Happy Birthday , Ernie!
Great actor......
As for the "Old Farts" term..........why?
Is that how you would refer to your parents or grandparents?
As an older person, I take offense.........and I am sure the folks at the celebration would. But, we have learned that ignorance is everywhere....as you have just shown!

28. Instead of honoring and respecting these talented people Harvey makes a mockery of them showing complete disrespect and class. Harvey..you "aint" getting any younger yourself and will be old sooner than later...something all of us face and cannot avoid. This is a typical TMZ attempt at creating headlines and luring readers without regard to hurting others. It's dispicable!

29. I was surprised to see Debbie Reynolds and Connie Stevens at the same function. I wonder if they are friendly now, since several years have passed since they were both married to Eddie Fisher... BTW, I also think your sound effects and disrespectful comments were rude!

30. It's really sad that you chose to portray "old time Hollywood" in such a disrespectful way. As I watched the clip I was impressed that each star took the time to acknowledge those waiting at the front of the restaurant.

You can't say that for the so-called celebs today. Just take a look at angelina jolie and how bored she was with others.

I feel sad. Not only for the disrepect shown towards yesterday's stars but by the attitudes of today's sub-par "stars".
