Lets Get This Party Started
J.Lo to Cruise: You Got a Point

J.LoJennifer Lopez's dirty little secret is out.

J.Lo and hubby Marc Anthony continue to cozy up to TomKat, possibly preparing to become Scientology's latest celebrity recruits. In fact, her father has been a Scientologist for more than 20 years, according to Miami's NBC 6.

"It's weird people want to paint [Scientology] in a negative way," she says. "It's just sad that people would look at it in that way."

It sure sounds like Jenny, who's Catholic -- just like Katie was before falling under Tom's spell – is well on her way to joining the church. Then Tom can turn all his attention to roping in Posh and Becks!

Brady to Bundchen: Get in Line

The night before Tom Brady was spotted leaving supermodel Gisele Bundchen's NYC apartment building, the Patriots QB partied with a flock of beauties. According to Page Six, Brady was out celebrating a buddy's birthday and had a hot blonde by his side at downtown hotspot Gin Lane. Then a gaggle of models followed him to another bar, where Brady kept the women at arm's length by telling them it was "guy's night" and repeatedly checking his cell phone. Wonder whose call he was waiting for?

Eddie to Mel B: Screw You, and London Too

Eddie Murphy snubbed the "Dreamgirls" premiere in London because he didn't want to run into ex-girlfriend Melanie Brown. A source tells the New York Daily News that Murphy was afraid the fans' reaction to him wouldn't be good "because of what he did to her" -- namely dumping her on a Dutch talk show and denying he's the father of her unborn child. Eddie's rep claims he was just tied up with publicity obligations for his upcoming film "Norbit."

Party Favors: Jesse James Is Too Dirty for California ... Prince Charles Fights Pollution ... Crystal Gayle's Tour Bus Found

"Monster Garage" host Jesse James was slapped with a $271,250 fine by California air regulators, claiming his custom bikes didn't comply with the state's clean-air laws. The bikes were spewing 10 times the legal limits of hydrocarbons ... While traveling to the U.S. to receive an environmental award, Prince Charles opted to take a commercial plane instead of his private jet because he didn't want his visit to cause unnecessary pollution ... An escaped prisoner who stole singer Crystal Gayle's tour bus was arrested in Daytona Beach after a five-day manhunt.

61. RW,

Good for you that you went to Harvard and that you and all your black friends are married. REALLY! I'm young, married, white and have 2 kids. Nonetheless, Just Telling You is spot on. Maybe, just maybe American blacks should get over the whole slavery / racist thing and recognize the facts that the majority of black society has fallen apart and it affects the rest of us with crime, welfare costs, education costs, etc. While it may have worked 100 years ago to blame slavery, the problem is that today the majority of individual black men are making horrible decisions regularly (interestingly enough after slavery and before 1964 out of wedlock births, crime, etc. in the black community were barely higher than whites. Just interesting facts, don't jump to a conclusion).

Anyway, I'll give you some current statistics:
National Center for Health Statistics have non-marital
births among all groups across the country
jumping again, to 36.8 percent in 2005, with the
number for African Americans increasing to a
hard-to-fathom 69.5 percent,

In Minneapolis, MN:
data recently tabulated by
Hennepin County‘s Health Protection Assessment
Team, the non-marital birth rate for U.S.-born
African American women in Minnesota‘s largest
city in 2005 was an unthinkable 86.6 percent.52

Soooo ... RW, you and your friends are to be applauded. Depending on where you live you're either the 40%, the 10%, or somewhere between those two numbers. Given your Harvard degree, I'm guessing you don't live in a true urban environment or will be raising your kids and sending them to the same schools as the 90% in Minneapolis. That's reality. Time to change things.

62. To mmmkay:

Before you go off quoting statistics, be familiar with the fgures and how its potrayed. You quote statistics like a politician, giving us just wha you want us to hear and ignoring the bigger picture.,

1: African Aamericans are minorities. Meaning they are lower in number. 60% of 11% of a general population is acutally a low figure.

2: If the community has 80% Caucasians, then 40% of that 80% is way higher than 60% of 11% minority group

3: You are soooooooooooo RACIST it will be impossible to even get through to you, it will just be like talking to a sceintologist about the basis of their "religion"
You insult every African American or American Africans with your statements.

Just as the holocaust has given rise to serious emotional dysfunctions among families, so has slavery and its shown in different ways. Is does not mean that these individuals should be absolved of responsibility of their actions, but throwing out words about how unimportant these crimes were is insulting. I believe the last time Marlon Brando made a comment about jews running Hollywood they sent him to a tolerance session.

Try the FX social experiment on becoming balck or vise versa and you will find out that the things that white AMericans takes for granted everyday is something that the rest of America has to work for. From simply making eye contact with the wrong person to finding a job, its an obstable each step of the way. We once worked with 6ft plus Kenyan educated PhD student who went for a stroll off campus and ended up in a hospital...he got beat up because he waved at a bunch of white girls in a car..this was less than a decade ago in the good old IL in the US of A. So how do you tell such a person to take responsibility for his actions.............I am still trying to figure that one out.

Having worked in places like Lousiana and Missippi and Florida, I have seen poverty that will make you weep , not only among minorities but among caucasions perpetuated everyday by our actions. As we sit comfortbaly enjoying the fruits of this capitalist nation remember that someone had to pay for it. Have ever been to West Virginia, let me know the statitics on the caucasian population down there......

Its just alright to sit in your comfy chair and blame crime on just one segment of your population and feel you are beyond blame...well newsflash, we all form part of this society and are equally responsible for how all segments of this society turns out...SO next time you bring out your statitics , you should try comparing to the European countries or any of the G8 countires and realize what a social disgrace you have created in your own backyard..do you rememeber the pictures form Katrina!!....the rest of the world had no idea that the OH SO GREAT America had cultivated such a hell hole of poverty............

Next time you start to play the blame game, know that it falls to all of us to work together to make this a better nation, not blame on black, yellow, white, and whatever color concotion you come up with.

Oh also there are more statitics from the same place you got the above from... on the Native AMericans, who have been neatly sectioned into little quadrants to make live easier for the rest of us...Money set aside for development on the reservations have also dissappeared and yet to be inquired into......ahhh the price the rest of American had to pay to make the majority comfortable.

RACISM is alive and well perptuated by people like you who point fingers and make our societal issues into a "black problem". Is the snowstorm in Minnesota also a result of having too many Black People, maybe you can give us a theory on color, radiation and winter storms.LMAO

What a sick world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

63. Nice try, Miapocca. Let's see first, I'm a politician for quoting any sort of government statistics vs. your anecdotal extrapolations and then you hit me with the racist dart. How original. I'm quivering with fear and somehow any points I've made are delegitimized because according to you I'm a racist.

Did you read what I was responding to? If you did, you might actually find that RW played the same race card for someone else's belief that black men aren't exactly the marrying kind. I simply responded to all of the personal stories of whites being racist and blacks sleeping around with government statistics (both national and local) to show that the person who believed black men sleep around is actually right.

Not matter how big or small the minority population is, it is quite significant if it is obviously having major problems. Without fact checking your 11% of the population bit, let's just run with that number and say that 33 million Americans are black. So basically the state of California is all black from a population perspective and 70% of all births there are illegitimate. That's a problem that just can't be ignored by throwing out the race card.

As for poor populations across the country ... you obviously haven't actually checked out how the US stacks up compared to G8 countries (Russia is awesome) or Europe. Not only are our rich richer than their rich, but our poor are also wealthier. That's not to say that there aren't really poor people in the US that make you weep, but they also have the opportunity to climb out of that poverty.

As far as capitalism is concerned you seem to either be near marxist or a 16th century mercantilist thinking that if you're doing well, someone else is not. There will always be poor, middle, and rich. The important fact is that all of them keep getting richer and their lives are better. Wealth is not finite, it can grow and shrink and depends on individuals.

Which brings me to my last point. "well newsflash, we all form part of this society and are equally responsible for how all segments of this society turns out..." You're wrong there. I am not equally responsible for how the society turns out. If that was the case then we would all serve time when someone commits a crime. No, you are responsible for your own actions and I am responsible for mine. You cannot try and blame white people in 2007 for slavery in the first half of the 1800's and then say that any individual black man's actions are a result of that earlier injustice and therefore it's white people's / capitalism's fault and responsibility.

Statistically speaking the black communities have a lot of work to do that only they can fix. Enough of blaming white's or slavery for the various ills that beset them . And enough of using the race card. It's worthless. It's not going to last much longer since non-racist people are sick of it.

PS. My white ancestors didn't come over until after slavery was already gone. You didn't ask that question did you? You just assumed that because I'm white that I'm part of it all... Good job. Next time, maybe you should learn a little history, some economics, and read up on current statistics, be a little open minded to the facts and not quite so emotional.

IN CASE YOUR WONDERING WHAT IT TAKES TO LIVE A BETTER LIFE, THEN YOU CAN READ THIS BOOK CALLED "THE WAY TO HAPPINESS". IT COMMON SENSE GUIDE TO BETTER LIVING. THE WEBSITE FOR IT IS: www.twth.org

66. So, either I came back too soon or I made you all keep quite and rethink what you are all going on about. I mean, what's the point to the nonsense on this board? It doesn't help anybody as far as I'm concerned. Just to remind you about the website for the answers to making life better, it is:

http://www.twth.org/

Read the book or maybe what is in the book can be read on the website and see what you think. It's a COMMON SENSE guide to better living so I'm sure you'll agree with it or at least most of it. And it has NOTHING to do with Scientology or religion (a non religious book catered to everyone) even though it was written by the founder.
