63. She is at least 10 to 15 pounds lighter than the unflattering picture she is standing next to. She is full of sh*t and full of contradiction. She's happy with the weight in the picture, but chose to loose a considerable amount of it, donning the same type of swimsuit in a smaller size. Is this not obvious? Whatever, blah blah blah, blah blah blah..I can't hear you.

64. Tyra looks great. The people who are talking bad about her, obviously have their own issues. They are either bigger than average and want the attention taken off them or they are sick freaks that want to lust over little girls or boys that have no curves.(like a real woman is supposed to have). If they knew anything about anything, these pigs would keep their comments to themselfs. Tyra- You go girl! Continue to be a REAL example for our teen girls......not one of those terribly thin model want to be's. I think that the extra thin look is sick and unhealthy.

65. Number 25 love your post. I am 5'11 and weighed 135-140 when I worked at Hooters. When I gained weight and starting hitting 145 men loved my curves. I am DD like Tyra. But I thought I was FAT. You see magazines all the time and you see these stick thin girls and think how fat I have become. Growing up I weighted 110-115, my nicknames were Hall of Bones and Skeletor. Now that would be sexy. It's really sad they way people make fun of any woman that may gain weigh.

I think Tyra worn the swimsuit to prove a point that she still looks good. As she said herself, if she was that big it is okay.

I now weigh 170 and still slamming. Not Hoooter ready anymore but still kicking butt. Thanks Trya and to all of my sisters in the world. I am happy be "normal" and not super skinny.

I really enjoyed reading the comments of the men and women about this important topic.

66. Here's a clue for you posters that talk about obesity vs. anorexia and the link with skinny models. The attention given to body weight/type in this culture affects girls from a very young age, causing dieting at absurdly tender ages for girls who don't need to be on a diet. Trying to attain an unnaturally low weight can affect ones' metabolism, thus making it easier to become fat or obese. Obviously being obese isn't healthy, but why is it that when public figures are getting skinnier average women are getting heavier? It's not just a sedentary lifestyle...I'm a child of the 70's and my friends and I spent a lot of time plopped in front of a TV set. It just makes sense that there's some correlation between the media and obesity...although sedentary lifestyles and fast food are certainly the main culprits. But Tyra is neither fat nor obese, so to say such a thing is ludicrous. She is a normal sized woman. I suggest people who call her fat have some issues they need to deal with themselves. My guess is that you feel somewhat superior to women who are average or overweight...you might want to "broaden" your avenues for self-esteem...no pun intended.

68. I'm glad black women are fighting back and standing up. Whites think that looking like a skeleton is sexy and it's not. Tyra's right you do have to starve yourself in order to fit into 0-5 etc clothing. In all america's claim of intelligence and superiority (how intelligent can you be if you copy styles, theories, and beliefs of others) No one thinks to consider bone structure some women will never reach the gross level of cave woman beauty. I believe weigh and size is divised to further segregate black women and other women of color because they're intimidated by their natural beauty. No matter how hard global whores attempt to mimick and recreate it they'll never reach it because they're lacking what's on the inside.

69. Tyra, the AGING FORMER MODEL, needs now to start watching her weight.
She is a big woman and if she is not careful, could gain too much weight and look just like she did when she called all that attention to herself once again by putting on that fat suit. I for one am very TIRED OF TYRA. She has become way over exposed and all she thinks about is weight. HER HAIR is HORRIBLE and she should start watching not only her weight but even more - her hair.

73. funny how differently people view things. I just happened to see Tyra's show last night which I do not usually watch. I did not realize there was this flap over her wt. I was struck by 1. how insane it is to make an issue of her wt. - she is a stunningly beautiful woman. 2. what a lovely person she seems to be regardless of physical appearance 3. her great sense of humor. So, I am 180 degrees out from Miranda's opinion. The obsession with physical looks is pretty crazy. In the last 5 years, I ate too much (sweets) put on 60 lbs and then decided I felt bad - could not do much without feeling tired and out of breath. But I got off the sugar and bread -and exercised - and lost the wt. It is not easy but it is possible. If Tyra wants to lose some wt., then she will most likely do so. - But she is lovely inside and out. One way to shut the fools up - don't buy the tabloids.

74. so what if tyra is a little heavy-er than she use 2 be??? she looks good and @ least she isnt trying 2 make her self throwup 2 look like a pencil !!!!!!!!! I no woman who r around tyra's weight and they look perfectly find!!!! the tabloids should BACK OFF! telling people they should b thin, or calling each other fat is the reason why so many young girls gag themselves 2 make them look "perfect". I hav nown some girls in high school who have done that with very low self confidence, who look through magizines and c those girls with "perfect" bodys and think 2 themselves everything would be better if they just looked like that. The media, and press should leave Tyra alone (even though that would probly never happen)
