Cops: Garrison Drunk & Coked Up During Crash

Blood tests have revealed that Lane Garrison had "more than twice the legal limit" of alcohol in his system and was under the influence of cocaine during the fatal crash that killed a 17-year-old boy in December, this according to police.

A spokesman for the Beverly Hills Police Department announced today that his department has recommend that the L.A. County District Attorney file a felony charge of gross vehicular manslaughter against the "Prison Break" star.

The D.A. received the police file today and the case is under review. If charges are filed and Garrison is convicted, he faces a maximum of ten years in prison.

According to cops, Garrison's blood alcohol level was at least .16. He could also be prosecuted for driving under the influence. A DUI could be prosecuted based on alcohol, cocaine or both. Since there was bodily injury, a DUI could be prosecuted as a felony.

Cops also recommended that Garrison be prosecuted for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

As TMZ first reported, Garrison met Vahagn Setian and two 15-year-old girls hours before the crash. The teens invited the actor to a party, where people who attended tell TMZ they saw Garrison drink between four and seven shots of Grey Goose vodka in a short period of time. Garrison's high-powered celebrity defense lawyer, Harland Braun, tells TMZ his client was heading back to his apartment when the crash occurred. Setian was killed and the two girls were injured.

Taking drugs and drinking alcohol is a CHOICE as is getting into a car and driving.
He'll probably not serve any jail time thanks to his SCUMBAG lawyer. It will just cost him a ton of money he doesnt have.

47. What happened to Brandy and Lane could happen to anyone ! These are both TERRIBLE tragedies where people DIED and the ones responsible will have to live with the consequences for the rest of their lives.

I beg to differ. What happened to Lane happened because he was impaired behind the wheel of a motor vehicle; he killed someone as a result, and he deserves to go to jail for it. Now, the Brandy thing could have happened to anyone. Everyone is inattentive from time to time.

50. #48 - They already determined Brandy was not talking on the cell phone, speeding, drunk, high, or putting on her make-up. She was probably daydreaming or making a mental list of things to do. I won't lie - I have done that before. I've never been in an accident, but have come close.

52. Hold up, some dumb ass said that Lane should not be prosecuted but Brandy should? He was drunk she wasn't. If she's prosecuted then he should be too except he should get ALOT of jail time for being under the influence. Fair is fair.

53. Who gives a sh*t if he's hot. The difference between him and Brandy is not f***ing skin color. He was under the influence, she was sober. One's a felony and one is a misdemeanor. As "hot" as he is, he deserves to be locked up. I would cry in church too if I thought I'd be going to prison. It's all so ironic.

57. Maybe the undercover police will set up a sting operation and find the real killers in this case, the drug dealers.

I mean this guy took three teens into his car after leaving a club when he is already wasted. Wants to show off that he is a big movie star and goes to the party, drinks tons of shots of vodka. Maybe does coke there, or earlier, and then leaves with these kids, wrapping Land Rover into a tree and killing 1 of them? That's hot? What if it was your brother of boyfriend he killed, Lane wouldn't be hot then.
As for BRANDY, she was stone-cold sober and had an accident, accidents happen every second. I am sure she will live with the pain the rest of her life. She did nothing to make it happen, she might have looked down at her speedometer for a minute, checked the gas, changed the radio, opened her sunroof, anything. UNLESS YOU ARE JUST A RACIST!
