Heather, everyday across America in every school, children learn about great leaders from every part of the world, however there is little to no time spent on African American contributions to society. So, I'm sorry if it makes some uncomfortable by recognizing and learning about them, Think how the millions of African American children feel on a daily basis to be so completely ignored and glossed over, when their ancestors have contributed just as much to this country, if not more through their blood sweat and tears. I think if having one month of recognition makes some uncomfortable, good for them, now you get a brief glimpse into the lives of African American's on a daily basis.

108. Hey Farrah, your racist veiws and stupidity are showing though. Agricuture, irrigation, and probally the wheel were all invented in Mesopotamia. Which is Modern Iraq. Last time I looked there were not any black or white people there except our Military. While all people should be proud of where they come from they shouldn't run their mouth and claim things that are not true. People of Afican desent have done great things to promote civilization. Also they have done things to harm it, JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER RACE in the world. After all we are just human.

I have a 5 year old daughter and I'm already worrying about when she is a teen. She is a scrawy thing right now, and hopefully she won't have a weight problem when she gets older, but still, how do you explain to a teenager she doesn't have to look emaciated to be beautiful.

Tell me media, how do you do that?

Hopefully by the time she is a teen, this death before dying look will be out.
