PETA: "Anna was a friend to animals"

Anna Nicole posed as Marilyn Monroe in PETA's "Gentlemen Prefer Fur-Free Blondes" campaign. The animal rights organization issued this statement:
Anna Nicole Smith's Peta AD
"She was a great friend to animals and used every opportunity to speak out against senseless cruelty. We always thought Anna Nicole was a perfect fit for PETA because, just like us, she not only hated cruelty to animals and loved her dogs but also couldn't be ignored, and no matter what people thought of her, they always had an opinion, one way or another. ... It is a tragedy when anyone passes away before their time, but with Anna Nicole, animals have lost a true hero and PETA has lost a good friend. We will miss her."

49. Mark I thought it was a sweet idea. I don't belong to peta and don't know alot about them but if animals meant alot to Anna then why not? It beats being remembered for all the nasty things said about her.

50. Well, CariC, I DO know about them. PETA is exploiting Anna Nicole and her death, no doubt about it. Just like they exploit animals to rake in millions of dollars.

53. It think it is nice she helped PETA! :) Say what you want about her but she was a human being and needed help to kick drugs but sadly never got it.

55. i commend anyone who protects dogs. i always felt so sorry for her and after her son died, i felt like she was just so drugged out and so depressed, which is so understandable. just such a sad story.

56. I think it is very strange she would name her daughter DANIELLYNN HOPE and then 3 days later DANIEL dies! It's like she named her girl after Daniel because she knew what was about to happen.

57. I think that Anna Was a beautiful individual. People who knock her are blined by there own insecurities or just trying to get the 15 sec of fame!One thing that continues to piss me off is her Mother! The last thing a Mother should be doing is talking trash about her own child . No wonder Anna ran away from the beooch, I would have too . Where is the love Mom?
