Will Dannielynn Be a Billion-Dollar Baby?

With her mother dead and the identity of her father still to be determined, the questions on everyone's lips about Dannielynn Marshall Stern are: Will she end up getting any of nearly half-billion dollars Anna Nicole was fighting for in the courts? And how much would she get?
Financial graphic
Well-informed legal sources, including Smith's estate lawyer Kent Richland, tell TMZ that Dannielynn could be the heiress of up to $477 million of J. Howard Marshall's fortune, if her mother posthumously wins her Federal court battle. That's the simple answer. In the end, our sources tell us, where the case ends up being tried is all-important. Richland himself says that he's not certain whether California, Texas, or even the Bahamas will have the last word in deciding the case, and that the death of his client adds another layer of complexity to an already difficult case.

That's because two courts in different states have decided two different outcomes -- a judge in Texas ruled that Anna Nicole should get nothing, and a California judge then ruled that Smith should get $480 million (later reduced to $88 million). Then, last May, the U.S. Supreme Court sent the case back to Federal appeals court. Marshall family attorney Eric Brunstad says that there is currently no timetable for the next legal step.

The Supreme Court's decision merely continued Smith's fight for money, but did not award her any money. The reality is that the case could drag on for months and possibly years, and Richland could not predict any time horizon for the case. Lenard Leeds, a former attorney for Smith, predicted that the case will end up back at the U.S. Supreme Court for a final decision.

Richland says he's not spoken to Howard K. Stern since yesterday.

31. I am just curious dosn't a leagle last will an testament mean anything anymore. oh excuse me that must exclude oil tycoons in texas and there family, because we all know there above the law, and the judges that are paid off to over see, Oh excuse me , I mean paid to preside over these issues
seem to create the law as they see fit, because last I heard Anna was left
the entire estate. If that little girl does not get every dime of that money
than I guess none of the rest of us have to abide by the laws anymore in texas. It will be called the Anna Nicole Smith defence

32. I think its ridiculous her mother (ANSS's) is going to the Bahamas. She didnt give a damn about her daughter except when she could get media coverage out of her. She is another "hanger on" as far as I'm concerned. Yesterday she wasnt going to be seeking custudy & today since we find out DannieLynn maybe worth a bunch of money, shes already landed a plane in the Bahamas! Please.

33. Suzie, a 20 year old man is dead. His 39 year old Mother is dead. The future of that Mother's 5 month old baby is at stake, and you choose this platform to spout your left wing BS. How sad is that?

Miapocca, try to stay on topic.

34. Well here is the legal situation I know about from personal experience. When it comes to large amounts of money like this, usually the living parent has legal trust and escrow rights until the child is 18 or 21, depending on the state laws where the will was executed, or even later if the mother stipulated a much later age restriction. So to me its very important we determine who the father is, because they will be in essence in charge of the management of the trusts. I sincerely HOPE that Howard K. Stern ends up being the father --- #1 he truly loved Anna Nicole for many many years, #2 he's rich enough on his own right so he wouldn't abuse his powers, and #3 no one will be able to tell the little girl more about her mother in a positive way than Howard.

Above this Larry guy who really I think is just doing this to get at some money, now more than ever, I don't trust that guy at all, and I am not saying Howard is a saint either. And now apparently Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband declared he may be the father, a day after ANS dies?!?! Hello... like that's not obvious that he wants the money associated with the little girl. As for the maternal grandmother, I hope she rots without any money or any visitation of the little girl --- she was a TRUE gold digger all of ANS's life AND to go on TV and announce that "Yeah she overdosed I am sure just like Danny" is a freaking travesty!!! How could you defame your daughter like that, even if it was true, you just do not do that.

My .02 cents.

35. IF THE TRUTH BE TOLD !i THINK HER HUSBAND THE LAWYER DID IT. THE POLICE NEED TO BE LOOKING AT HIM. IT ALL SEEMS SO STRANGE THAT HE IS ALWAYS THERE WITH THE SON,AND NOW ANNA. THEY NEED TO GET THE PATERNITY OF THE BABY'S FATHER. WHAT IT ALL BOILS DOWN TO IS THE WELL BEING OF THE BABY. REST IN PEACE ANNA,AND MAY GOD BLESS THE OUT COME OF THIS MESS. BECAUSE ONLY THE TRUTH CAN COME OUT OF ALL THIS.

36. Ohhh and one more thing, Anna's legal name is Vicky Lynn Hogan Marshall, she never legally changed her name. Its noted on Danielynn's birth certificate, so that's why her name is Danielynn Hope Marshall Stern.

37. Why is it that we sensationalize junk like this. This woman obviously was nothing more than a "pass around pack". I'd be first in line to adopt that child in a blink and not accept one penny for it, let all the money whores fight over that. This poor child will live her life knowing that she was the product of a "feel good" romp in the sheets rather than love and being wanted.

39. cant they get the coroner to secretly take a dna sample for larry birkhart ???

40. I believe that the daugher should have the money. I also believe that Anna should
have been given the money as well. Anna gave that man the best year of his life and she deserved every penny that she asked for just for kissing and loving that man the way she did. That is my opinion. The family should have never fought on the pennies that she asked for in comparision to their billions.

41. Clearly, you people know nothing about children who grow up without mothers. Ever heard of Harlow's monkey studies?? Morons.
The money is about principle, not character, and the baby deserves every penny of it.
Howard K. Stern is a lowlife and so is Larry Birkhead.
No one can own a child -- they come THROUGH us, not FROM us.
Lowlife, drug addict, whatever, Anna Nicole Smith or Vicki Lynn Hogan, whatever you want to call her, was a human being. Her passing is a tragic thing -- the whole situation is tragic.
And, what kind of idiot would trust an animal to someone like one of the Olson twins?? What a bunch of idiots we live among.

42. The woman was a tortured soul, she fell victim to an addiction just like a million other people have...not everyone is a loser just because they become addicted to rx drugs or street drugs..leave her alone people, you need to feel sorry for her, she can't redeem herself now even if she wanted too, which I think she would have sometime down the road..have some compassion.
