R.I.P. Anna Nicole Smith
I am very sad to hear of Anna Nicole Smith's death. She's about my age, and I used to see her around, back in the day when I used to see people around. I didn't know her well, but I always thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. So pale and blonde, with this incredible soft serve ice cream vulnerability, like ripe summer peaches hot from the sun, or rice pudding made from grains boiled for over a day on the stove; Anna Nicole Smith was the goddess of all things that are sweet and enveloping.

I hope that she is happy now, where she is. It is easy to picture her there, riding the clouds, her young son at her side, a million miles above the paparazzi and the tabloids, the gossip columns and the lawsuits and Bobby Trendy and Trimspa and the rest. I hope she feels thin, and nothing is bugging her, and that she doesn't have any more doubts or worries. Only puppies and kisses and love. Because she deserves that.

19. I'm so tired of people making saints out of people who die. Just because they die, it doesn't change what they've already done on earth, quit building pedestals for people who don't deserve it. Anna was an emotional trainwreck, completely drug addled. Howard was a YES man who knows he's not the father of this child, and he's keeping her because since 1994 Anna has been his only income. Now he's gonna make a few bucks off the kid. He NEEDS to be investigated as a murderer, one who was oddly present at both the death of Anna and Anna's son.

21. Come on TMZ...its clear that you guys hate her. I was watching The View and I was thinking how are the people of TMZ going to twist this around and my god you guys found it. It would nice to put the contest of the "balloon without tether" to your readers. But that of course will have to mean that unbiased and real journalism will have to occur. Your site clearly proves why we want to war as it just a spin machine with very little substance and a lot of propaganda. Shame on you TMZ and shame on you Harvey Levin.

For the record, I am not a big fan of Rosie's but I am a fan unbiased and true journalism something clearly lacking here.

FYI-- for those who care the "balloon without a tether" was a reference to fame and needing a lot of people to support you to stay up and its was not truly directed ANS but it was reference to all the people around ANS who say her failing and unable to get up and not doing anything to support her.

23. I don't understand why some people are so upset with Rosie talking about people that they think its ok to call her such HORRIBLE things. (i.e. Rosie, you fuc*ing fat azz .You fat fuc*ing pig). 24. On that clip, Rosie is right. She is just speaking on the obvious. HKS does appear to have a drug problem. duh, the whole house was on drugs. How else could anyone stay around that craziness unless they did it too.

Paula does appear to have a pill dependency. She has said she has dancer-type injuries. Eventually, she will get help. She is a smart woman, unlike poor, tragic Anna.

26. Rosie is absolutely right !! How Anna's camp be it Howard Stern her lawyer, lover, Father of the baby or her nurse or her assistant or her manager or her bodyguard or her publicist who ever today Anna Nicole and Daniel are dead within months of each other and today we see the footage of her fridge in her bedroom loaded with Methadone which looks to be in liquid form that has to be administered with a needle. Who prescribed all of this medicine to her in the first place? Who is the nurse who gave her to much of this drug? On the street don't we call that a drug dealer??? Clearly someone was not taking care of Anna or she would be alive right now! I know that on her "Anna Nicole" show on E at times Anna was very demanding and wanted what she wanted which may have lead to her camp turning into "YES" people for Anna instead of helping her. At any rate love her or hate Anna she was a beautiful young woman who left this earth way to soon along with Daniel her son she adored. Such a senseless tragedy. R.I.P. Anna we love you...............

28. Wow Rosie, ever think that over eating is an addiction also, and is just as bad as an alcohol, drug addiction? Did you know the leading cause of death amongst women was due to heart disease? Being severly overweight, can add to diabetes, high blood pressure, and of course heart disease.

Why is no one is tethering you down? Why isn't YOUR wife, helping you in YOUR addiction? Does she make sure that you're fed, HIGH cholesterol HIGH carb meals? Packing on the pounds in hopes that you will keel over and DIE, and then she will inherit your estate?

29. The reason they didn't discuss it on fridays show was because fridays show was taped on Thursday. (just as they announced this morning).

I don't think Rosies views are very difficult to understand and not sure why some of you "don't get it".

Rosie doesn't suggest that she is an authority on anything. It just so happens that many of us respect her opinions. We might not agree with everything she says but as many have commented--- She says what we would like to say and she says it LOUD!

For example........why in the world hasn't anyone in the news (E.T.) as Howard (Anna's friend/lawer/husband) if he has a drug problem as well. It is soooooooooooooooo OBVIOUS in the last few years that he does!

The tabloid shows have majorly taken advantage of Anna this last year. Obviously her lawyer friend Howard wasn't watching out for her because he had a problem himself.

Rest in peace Anna.
