Anna Nicole Smith: The 911 Tapes

31. I am a 9-1-1 operator for 13 years. This is NOT a 9-1-1 call. This is a DISPATCH call, done internally. It demonstrates how the Florida EMS system conducts their emergency SOP (Standard Operations Procedure) handling.

The Seminole PD dispatched the Fire Department because FD's are the paramedics. It is NOT unusual to have Fire Departments in many jurisdictions function as paramedics and dual fire related personnel.

I repeat, what are you hearing is not an actual 9-1-1 call! This is an internal call that dispatches the help required to the agency or agencies that deliver it. The portion you hear about Anna Nicole Smith's identity was to tip the operator into cautioning responding personnel as to the sensitive nature of her identity and use discretion over the air waves. That was obviously done so that Ms. Smith could receive the best response needed unobscured by media or public if there was a chance to save her.

Also note that many calls received for an unresponsive, unconscious person do not always merit true. Many 9-1-1 calls are received by people who are confused, in shock and bewildered as to what is actually happening with the patient.

Note too, even after initial medical treatment at the scene, and everyone knows she has passed, she was not pronounced because there was no one in authority to do that until she reached the hospital.

Sadly, this woman appears to have been D.O.A. (dead on arrival) of the paramedics. Her history and fever should have been a primary indication that she was in dire need of expert and professional (hospital) medical help days before the death occurred. A fever means the body is fighting something and she was obviously losing that battle. Her caretaker/nurse was negligent, being the authority on hand that should have known better.

32. Come on People, Please use your brains and your head for something more than a new doo. This is a womans life we are talking about here, if nothing else please think about what you are reading and saying before you jump to conclusions. Please wait for all the information from the coroners office and Dr. Perper. This was after all a human being who deserves some respect and solace, she lost her son and her life was a mess. I dont think I could have survived as long as she did, PLease put yourself in her shoes before your down her. There is not one person on this earth who has not made mistakes and hers were just done publicly. Please let Mr Stern Mourn for the loss of his friend and or lover and take a moment to say a prayer for her family and friends that are truely mourning . We all are so involved in the lives of celebrities and have just got to know everything that is why this has turned into a circus, And Howard K Stern you will be vindicated by the same public and family that is bashing you now. It was apparent to me that Anna Nicole loved you and trusted you or she would not have had you sign the birth certificate. 33. Come on now PLEASE use your brains here. This is a woman and a mother. Please take time and think of what you are reading and saying here. I do not think that there is anyone of us who are perfect and it is a shame that her mistakes were out there for the public to view. I was not a "fan" of Anna Nicole's but This has turned into a media circus. Please wait for the autopsy report and Dr Perper's findings before we jump to conclusions. Mr Stern my heart goes out to you and Dannielynn. What the people here fail to realize is that Anna Nicole was a woman with a brain, who knew how to market herself and yes she was flawed, who's not but for whatever reason Anna had you put your name on the birth certificate and you willingly accepted, lighting up both of your eyes and faces when she was around. As far as I am concerned you Mr Stern are the father to this beautiful baby and she belongs with you. Who else will tell her about her mommy as no one knew her like you did. I have patience and I will wait for the WHOLE STORY before I pass judgement. Anna I hope you are finally at peace and you now know that your son is at peace also.

34. Stern did nothing when Anna was ill. It is reported she had a 105 temp. lets get real here, even if she didn't want the publicity as also stated in other articles, by going to the hospital, If Stern was in "love" with her, he would have called an ambulance himself, and to hell with the press. Something is fishy here. The only thing I agree with on Stern is that Anna's mother should not see the baby.

35. Hello people......that was a police officer calling the proper agencies to have them respond to a situation. Police officers are suppose to remain calm under stressful situations. They do this all day long and it's nothing new to have a celebrity receive medical care of any kind. I don't know about you but I don't think it would be professional to have a police officer to show emotions when there is an emergency. That would not show competancy on their part.

The public needs to look at the entire picture of any kind of a situation when it comes to an emergency.

37. The Seminole police aren't even "real" police. They are the indian tribe that owns the Hard Rock's police force. They have complete jurisdiction over the hotel as it is Native American property and therefore play by their own rules. I am sure half the reason Howard had Anna stay there in the first place was because the "fox knows how the hen house" is run there in Florida.

Sorry but the Seminole police force at the Hard Rock is nothing more than your local mall police. Sure they are a force but they don't have to play by Florida rules entirely. I am sure the police chief is going to be protecting the reputation of the tribe first and foremost.

It was pretty obvious at the news conference that Chief Tiger was annoyed with the press while the Dr was a total press whore and didn't want to stop talking. Reason??? Tiger is a Seminole and out to watch over the tribes $$$$ while Dr Peuper(sp?) who works for Broward County, is a Florida State official. Truly two different jurisdiction, two different motivations, two different men.

38. What the hell is wrong with all of you calling Howard K. Stern a murderer? If you get fat from eating Burger King, do you blame them? That's what's wrong with this country, no sense of responsibility, we love blaming others. Anna's death is unfortunate, but if it was due to Methodone, I'm not going to blame the guy who may have given it to her, I'm gonna blame her for taking it. He didn't slip it in her drink I'm sure. I think they ALL had and have issues, I wouldn't choose to be with Howard, but Anna DID and I think everyone needs to remember and accept that. Let this poor woman rest in peace.

I happen to think that's key IF it turns out to be true. Nobody seems to be talking much about how HKS was obsessed with that new yacht, either. Maybe it was *his* idea and Anna opposed the purchase. We hear they were both control freaks and a lot of people are thinking it can't be like that in a relationship but it most definitely can be. Anna was sick with a fever and who knows what else. That gave HKS the opportunity to be the alpha control freak of the moment. I do believe he aided and abetted her in drugs and alcohol and it's just not too far-fetched to believe he doped her intentionally last Thursday. IOW, I don't buy his tears and reports he's devastated.

42. Anna Nicole said that she wanted to die like Marilyn Monroe(her idol). Marilyn Monroe killed herself, and was found in her hotel room. Sounds to me like Anna Nicole had her death planned. She wanted to go down oin history as a legend.

And plus, she had a lot of shit go on lately prior to her death. I mean, her son died not too long ago. TrimSpa has sued her for some reason. But you know what I don't get though? She had inherited like over a billion dollars from that old wrinkly oil tycoon guy. Why would she wanna die? Well, I guess it's true. Money doesn't really buy happiness. You know she didn't love that old ham skin guy. I have one word for you. Golddigger. Just like those little sluts who claim that they are in love with Hugh Hefner. Please, that's not love. He's freakin' rich. Those little bimbos only like him for his money.

That's one of the very few FACTS about this tragedy. I'm glad you told the truth.......which, btw, is not being reported by the Media because they fear backlash from the political correct types. 44. i thoroughly enjoy reading these comments. i can't help but wonder why most people aren't out in the workforce, instead of on-line all day. at least, for a reasonable relief, if they don't need to work, they may want to review and polish their grammatical and spelling skills.

45. I thought the Seminole Police spoke clearly and matter of fact to the circumstances they were reporting. Not only that, it confirms that Anna Nicole was dead in her hotel room - so what's the emergency? She's already dead!
