49. Maybe he prescribed it to Daniel under that name?? Whatever it was it's still wrong. There are so many doctors doing crap like this which is why the prescription drug problem is spirling out of control in this country. He's probably one of the slimeballs who illegal sells drugs over the internet.

50. Maybe some of you should take the time to educate yourself on Methdaone.

Methadone **does not** impair cognitive functions. It has no adverse effects on mental capability, intelligence, or employability. It is **not sedating or intoxicating**, nor does it interfere with ordinary activities such as driving a car or operating machinery. Patients are able to feel pain and experience emotional reactions. Most importantly, methadone relieves the craving associated with opiate addiction. For methadone patients, typical street doses of heroin are ineffective at producing euphoria, making the use of heroin less desirable.

Now let me ask you. . . . . . . should Anna have stayed on herion or was Methadone the right choice?? There is no doubt that ANS had substance abuse issues - a blind man could see that - but at least she was taking steps to better herself. Of course NO DRUGS during pregnancy are ever completely safe (Tylenol, Advil, etc) I'm thinking that Methadone was the lesser of two evils.

ANS also suffered from severe depression from losing her beloved son. NO MOTHER should ever have to bury their child yet this woman had to bury her child in addition to coping with the rush of hormones from child birth. If you've never experienced post partum depression you wouldn't have a clue as to how bad this poor woman must have been feeling. Heck Brooke Shields suffered severe PPD and admitted to taking medicine for it . . . . . . the difference - Brooke didn't have to bury her son AND she was provided the privacy that every person deserves. ANS had to grieve the loss of her son in front of the world in addition to dealing with the wackos making allegations against her partner.

Daniel died from an overdose of antidepressants and methadone.

Avoid using drugs that make you sleepy (such as cold medicine, pain medication, muscle relaxants, and medicine for seizures, depression or anxiety). Methadone may increase the effects of these other drugs and could also result in a **fatal overdose**.

Those prescription anti depressants that Daniel took were prescribed to him. Since Methadone doesn't produce the "high" that you are thinking it does then apparently Daniel felt he needed it for other uses.

If I'm not mistaken Daniel was a grown man and Anna was a grown woman - capable of making those decisions for themselves. Why try and place blame on someone else?

It's no surprise that HKS was there when Daniel died . . . . . HELLO they were at the hospital where ANS had just given birth!! Who wouldn't expect HSK to be there?? I don't recall ever hearing that there were defensive wounds on Daniel's body, like he had to fight off anyone that was forcing drugs into him?!?!? HKS wasn't even in the room when ANS was discovered.

In my honest opinion, Daniel's death was a complete accident, and Anna just couldn't get over it. Maybe she felt responsible for his depression issues and the need for medication, I don't know, I'm not her. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to hear that her death was by suicide. She didn't have the baby with her, Howard wasn't there, she had just given an interview where she stated "why didn't God take me?" - sounds to me like ANS found the perfect opportunity to check out and did so.

Regardless, let the woman rest in peace. You may not agree with how she lived or how she died but guess what . . . . . it was HER LIFE and how she chose to live it is her business.

53. Possible misconduct? How about a gross abuse of his oath as a doctor. Any Doctor who would knowingly give medication to a drug addict is a horrible embarrassment to the world of medicine. I hope it was worth it for him.

55. What HE did is illegal! Plain and simple.

His medical license needs to be revoked, he needs to be fined, charges need to be filed against him....and jail time if necessary (definitely if he's done this repeatedly, which he most likely has).

56. Remember that ANS/HKS had a say anything for a buck medical examiner come in and his official statement was that the levels of methadone and pain relievers were "low levels". Now he's tried to go on TV and claim that they were at "significantly higher" levels. No normal person is going to die from low level interactions. You would have to have some pre-existing cardio problem. Look at Rush the Gasbag. He was choking down enough pills a day to kill a horse and he didn't die. I don't buy the drug interaction crap unless the cardio condition was there.

I don't do drugs and I'm not around drugs so I looked it up.....simple, easy to do and much better than assuming that you know all.
