Anna's Doc Scrutinized by CA Med Board

Dr. Sandeep Kapoor is the subject of an inquiry by the Medical Board of California, which wants to know more about physician misconduct allegations in the treatment of the late Anna Nicole Smith.

Spokesperson Candis Cohen says that the board is looking into "possible misconduct" by Dr. Kapoor, after TMZ reported his prescribing of methadone to an alias used by Anna Nicole. Cohen added that the board was looking into the legality of prescribing drugs to someone who is using an alias.

This web site indicates he is the primary investigator. What is he investigating? Methodone overdoses?

Very Strange indeed. Is this part of the CA medical investigation?

95. Get over Yourselves

Methadone is a very good pain killer, It does not matter if it was methadone or Percocet or Oxycontin, Dilaudid, ....

Addiction is a disease, it needed to be treated properly, Has nothing to do with a prescription. Fair enough the doctor should have taken an opiode contract.

she was complaining of pain and she received the treatment, her doctor is not going to baby sit for her 24 hr/ 7

96. i really hope this guy gets more than a slap on the wrists, because what he did was insane. Not only prescribing Methadone to a pregnant woman, but in HUGE quanities!!! Along with other pain killers. Methadone is supposed to be used as a treatment measure so they don't use ANY OTHER medications. And prescribing to aliases and having Howard Stern involved just makes the whole thing rather scammy and scummy. If any doctor was caught doing that in any other place than Hollywood, he would be in big trouble.

97. I totally agree....basically Howard Stern was Anna's drug trafficker.....the man belongs in prison. Yeah, I am sure he had a lot of reasons to want to go to Bahamas, he knew what he was doing. Let's see, tax evation, paternity issues, get Anna away from people that want her off drugs, being able to do her drug trafficiking, being able to live the glamorous life off Anna Nicole. Get a job Howard, after you get out of jail!!!!

98. #94 Dr. Kapoor admitted not having seen Ms. Smith since May, then prescribed methadone to her in August - in my estimation that is three months - IF he was treating her for addiction I think he would have needed to see her far more often - and I am not a doctor but three months is a long time to not see an addicted patient - and then to call in a STRONG narcotic drug such as methdone - under an alias - and you are telling us to get over ourselves - sounds like the Dr. himself speaking - nobody expects a dr. top baby sit 24/7 however doctors take an oath to do no harm - prescribing vats of methadone to an addict - if that is what he was supposedly treating her for with her publicly living in another country and the narcotic being shipped to her - get over ourselves? Yeah right - seems Dr. Kapoor needs a little help getting over it himself - having hired high profile Publicist Sawyer PR - you know the ones that clean up really ugly public messes- YIKES sounds like a serious situation indeed for Dr. Kapoor

100. Go back and read the posts on this board - see if you agree with me - multiple times the phrase "get over yourselves" is used - this is a very unique phrase not used by many people. Wouldn't you agree that it one person using different names wrote all the posts that tell us "to get overourselves" maybe Dr. Kapoor wrote them in response to our ribbing him. What do you think? Wouldn't that be funny? LOL Or again, should we just "get over ourselves". Go check every board that is about Dr. Kapoor, you will see this phrase over and over and over all written by different people, Mike, Housewife, etc. Just a trend I noticed.

101. TMZ said Stern and Birkhead were at a party in 1995 in Anna looking on as she was in a romantic....with that dr. saper(s) the only one i trusted was larry....why did he do that?daniellynn had to have drugs in her, it only stands to reason, another coverup, until larry has the kid in his hands will i fell comfortable, that stern is a sleezebag

102. Get over yourselves - that same catch phrase - SO INTERESTING - Do you know Housewife as well? Get over yourselves - such an uncommon way of phrasing things so interesting syntactically, very interesting - get over yourselves - I soooo know I have hears some use that before, hmmmmmm......

Mike, I am sure that is a pseudonym and since I AM NOT a doctor, lawyer or anything but a simple and pathetic layman, what is an opiode contract? However maybe you should consult with an attorney before answering any more questions, just a suggestion mind you! Or maybe a publicist could guide you, I don't know it is LA LA land seems everyone has PR there - maybe Sawyer PR the crisis people could help you??? I don't know maybe I am just rambleing......

103. Mike, I am still waiting to hear about the opoid(sp?) contract. I read something on google about it being a contract between the Dr. & Patient agreeing to what the terms of use of a narcotic would be - what the dr. expects from the patient and the patient expects from the Dr. - How on earth would YOU know that that it would be fair to say the "dr. should have taken opiode contract"? Is this the actual dr. himself answering this - sounds very incriminating - but I ramble and I am just a lay person - but if you are the Dr. Why are you reading this site? If you are not how would you know whether or not Dr. Kapoor had done this type of contract. #101 brought up a valid point.

Wow I have always heard that when people get into the tabloids, they actually read the $#*% about themselves - mayber here is proof- this board has gone so quiet - I am really interested in learning more about these contract - that is just too bizarre - an contract between docs and patients regarding expectations, with narcotics of all drugs - imagine that - Mike if you are not the dr. writing under an assumed name what do you do in your real life as a career/job?

104. looks like the governments in two counties could care less about this baby, if one of them did they would have had the baby drug tested months ago... moneys not going to do her any good except pay for her to stay in a better class facility, to bad she is an innocent.

105. On Inside Edition they had a detective that Daniel met with shortly before his death. He wanted to hire him to investigate his mom's relationship with Howard because he didn't trust Howard, then he comes up dead. I don't think the investigation should focus on the doctor as much as it should focus on Howard K. Stern. Daniel probably had real good reasons to be suspicious of Stern and Stern knew it and conveniently for Stern, Daniel dies. How obvious!!!!!!!!!
