I am surprised people are blaming the judge for not releasing the body. Do bodies get released for burial without a cause of death?

CNN live reports the police are in the house in Nassau, my police friend in Fla tells me Stern is being eyed as suspicious. Also a lawyer has been appointed by the judge to protect Dannilynnes interests. Thank God.

64. I agree with others. This is so sad and it's disgraceful that this judge is from Broward County. He is making a mockery of his profession and he should be ashamed. This is a real human being who deserves to be laid to rest in peace and he is just revelling in the attention people are showing this case. It's absolutely so dispicable. No matter how you feel about ANS, this judge should be disbarred for what he's being. Too bad they didn't hire someone who cared less about fame and power than this man! Ugh!

65. Why is everyone so down on Anna's mom?? I really don't think she is after her money she wants to bury her and I think she will do the right thing if granted the body. Her son should have been put to rest in the united states not where he is now but she made the choice because when she was alive she could visit the grave he was near her. I don't know if Stern is the cause of her death but it sure smells rotten when it comes to him.You have a witness who watched Stern give her son the methadone,but now you have a doctor who perscribed the drug for Anna and had it sent to the Bahamas.There will probably be more uncovered before this is all over with.I also believe the DNA test should be done at once and that baby needs a safe place to be while this process is ongoing .Stern said no one will ever take her and he knows deep down he is not the father.So place the child away from all people involved in this case and when they find out who the father is then grant him his right to be her father.Larry's not in it for the money.He wanted the truth before Anna died and he deserves to know. I'll pulling for the guy and if he's not the dad his heart will be broken but at least he will know the truth once and for all.

66. the judge did not 'DEMAND' anything...he simply gave (all of) them what they requested...on the contrary, as i watched the pleadings unfold he was more favorable to the attorney representing howard k stern and (almost completely) shut out larry birkhead's representation...he started out a little stern (no pun intended) but ended the day on a very friendly note to all...with the exception of one and it's your guess as to who that...but seeing how anna nicole purchased a plot next to her son daniel in the bahamas where her baby also resides my guess is that is where the body will end up...thankfully...

67. I think the judge is stalling in hopes to find out what actually killed ANS. I believe that he does not want to turn the body over to Howard Stern and then find out that he had something to do with her death. I am sure that she had bad feelings with her mother but I also think that Howard Stern waa no more than an opportunist. If he truly believes that it is his child he would have done a DNA test and half of these problems would go away and if her mother is only interested in the money a DNA test showing Stern as the father would send her packing

You appear to read all this in the same way I do and I'll bet our thinking will turn out to be most accurate. As for that Judge, I was listening to the hearing and it reminded me of the OJ case and Judge Ito. What a mockery to our judicial system.
He sounds more like a California Judge (where they respect nothing) than a Fla. Judge.

73. Vergie Arthur is Anna's mother no matter how you roll the dice. She's the one who told Anna to WATCH OUT for the people your hanging around with or she'd be next. And BINGO she was next. I think Anna's mother never stopped loving her even though Anna's mind was 'fogged' by drugs, and Anna was on a mission to be famous, so of course she didn't want to hear the truth about the 'vultures' she was hanging around with. Anna was only mad because her mom exposed her and Howard on National TV. A mother's love NEVER goes away, it only grows deeper. I agree that Anna should be buried next to Daniel, but Anna's mom should be at least able to attend the funeral to forever say goodbye to her daughter. And any more close family to Anna should be able to say goodbye too.

People seem to forget the law and according to Florida law, the rights first go to the spouse, and Howard is not her legal spouse, a child who is over 18 (Dannielynn is 5 months) and then a parent. Her Mom is the one who under the law should be entitled to the body. Whether that was Anna's wish or not, no one can prove that now since she is dead. If she wanted that she should have put it in her will. People make sure your will says exactly what you want and this mess won't happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
