16. This is how it goes when freelancers get stiffed. They either walk away from a significant financial loss (and that's not uncommon) or you stand up for yourself.

I hope Foxx feels shamed into paying this woman. She earned her wages. He looked good because of it. When you work on location you give up your entire life for the time you're gone; communication for personal business, family, friends, right to privacy, holidyas and events. You work the hours that they work. No one's worried about the last time you slept, ate, shopped for supplies, checked in on your real life. Stylists travel alone, not with an entourage. It's full of pressure and traveling gets expensive.

Pay that woman. Act like a man. No one worth a damn will work with him now....

21. I can't imagine why someone with his wealth would refuse to pay something that to them would be so small. It reeks of greed and selfishness. Nothing in this life is free for most people, and yet these so-called celebrities are used to getting everything given to them for nothing and then expect more for nothing. Perhaps they should simpy not be paid at all, seeing as they seem to live rather affluent lives at no cost themselves personally. It's a disgrace that anyone in his position would treat someone so disrespectfully. Shame on you Jamie Foxx, and to others pulling the same shite.

Very well said. It's also a shame that someone who trusted his professionalism, and his handlers, is now in a financially precarious position over his refusal to abide by his word.

Personally, after a couple of decades in the industry, I won't travel without a deal-memo and a 50% deposit. in advance. Hopefully, she had both. If not, just being at the event and traveling will help her in court. She'll win her case, eventually.

I hope Foxx sees these comments...he's such a worm for compromising other pros this way. Not cool!!!

27. This happens all too often. These celebs think everything is for free. They get pissed if you even think to ask for what is fair. I have been screwed a bunch of times and it just sucks. You cant say too much or you wont get your next job. Good for this gal.
