Britney Checks Into Rehab - Out a Day Later

TMZ has learned that while Britney Spears checked-in to rehab, she refused to stay and checked out -- less than twenty-four hours later!

As "EXTRA" first reported, the pop star entered a rehab facility two days ago. Now TMZ has learned that the center was located outside of the country, and she refused to stay. PEOPLE confirms that Brit was at Eric Clapton's Crossroads rehab facility in Antigua.

TMZ is told that Britney checked in at the urging of friends and family, after being seen intoxicated in public places and was so "exhausted" on New Year's Eve she collapsed.

According to TMZ sources, Britney is on her way back to Los Angeles.

A rep for Britney could not immediately be reached for comment.

19. Re:the photos...give me a break. Some are bad, but in a lot of them she looks adorable. Why are people so mean to her?

Re: rehab....maybe it's all just gotten to be too much for her. I feel really bad for her and i hope that she can find her way to a happy life.

25. Brittany gets a bad rep, because she goes out and she's a single mom. Well I am a single mom and I go out to. There is nothing wrong with that. She is young and tried to settle down when she wasn't ready. And everyone needs to realize you only see pictures of her when she is out, but what about the other 20 some hours of the day, nobody ever thinks of that. You can be a good parent and have time to live yourself. What about the other celebs that have kids and are off shooting their films? Do you think half the celebs really raise their kids or do they leave them with the nanny as well. I am sure the press is making it out to be way more than it is just like they always do. I am not a fan of Brittany's never have been but I hate seeing her trashed because she is enjoying life and has the money to do it. Her whole marriage Kevin was out partying while she took care of the kids give her a break for once. Unless you have walked a day in her shoes don't judge her.

28. I feel sorry for the poor kids. She's got two nice babies and they probably don't even know who the heck she is! She's going to lose those kids if she keeps this partying up!

She'd better check-in again to another rehab, ASAP! If not, K-Fed's going to get the kids permanently!
