Splash Mum on Anna's Mom

The paparazzi agency that Howard K. Stern's lawyers believe paid Anna Nicole Smith's mother, Virgie Arthur, more than $12,000 for pictures and video footage, won't confirm that a transaction took place, but they ain't exactly denyin' it.

In a statement to TMZ, the agency said, "Splash News and Picture Agency, in the great tradition of journalism, protects its sources and all financial matters are kept confidential. Splash has a reputation for breaking major news stories, and TV stations, newspapers and magazines around the globe license images and video footage to illustrate those stories."

Earlier today, Arthur was testifyin' that she ain't never had no deal with Splash.

1. On the stand, Virgie said her "sister" and then her "sister-in-law" shot the video of her at Daniel's grave in the Bahama's. Virgie said she [the sister-in-law or whoever] is the one who gave the tape to the media, which, to me, suggests Virgie got money for it through her.

3. Who cares if she did get some money or expenses paid, if you are going to base a decision on that then Howard Stern has profited for years and $600,000 off her dead son's pictures and Anna profitted from her dead son, hey it's a family tradition.

5. One other thing. Wasn't Virgie's statement about how her mother told her to give Daniel to Anna Nicole when he was a child interesting? I wonder if Virgie "raised" him when he was a small child because Anna wanted her to or because Virgie kept Anna from him because of her lifestyle?

9. I agree with you, Christina. She thinks she's pretty smart but not smart enough. I hope and pray that Anna's last wishes to be buried in the Bahamas with her beloved son are honored by the judge. I'm sure Virgie is seeing only $$$$ signs which is why she wants her daughter buried in Texas.

10. To me none of this matters. What matters is Anna loved her son and he is in the bahamas. Let her be with him there. And give Larry the baby cause you know Howard is not the father or he would not be evading the paternity test

11. Number 7 - I'd also be interested in whether Anna gave up Daniel to Virgie willingly. If she did, why would Virgie's mother (in her own deathbed apparently) have said, you should let Daniel go and live with Anna? Why wouldn't Anna just have the right to take Daniel b/c she was his mother? Maybe I'm reading too much into that statement . . .

14. Uhhhh, WTF is this all about? How come NO ONE mentions, or complains about Stern allegedly being paid one MILLION dollars for his HORRENDOUS interview with E! on his way back to the Bahamas within a day of the skank dying?

15. Ok, I am no longer 'feeling the love'. I hope they ask HKS about why he allowed ET and EXTRA and all those other shows into the house with him after ANS died ... and photographed him wtih the baby - nothing like exploiting the child.
