I so wish he had been 1/10 as interested in "protecting Anna" in her life as he is now that she's dead and his ass is on the line. He avoids every drug question like the plague. He's as transparent as Saran Wrap. I hope one of these Courts gets on the ball, demands the DNA and sends Mr. Howard - i've sucked the blood out of my "client" for years - K. Stern on his slimy way for good. Larry Birkhead is clearly the shining star here. Whether or not he's the father, he believes he is, and so do I - that baby looks just like him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's seems credible and truly devastated that Anna is gone.

275. Be careful about how you interpret a lawyer's speak.

He said he had no income. This doesn't mean he has no money.

He could have a trust that buys and sells and earns income, and lots of it.

If he is the sole beneficiary to a trust and he doesn't receive a benefit or payment from it then legally he can say he has no income from this trust although he has money. If he also doesn't receive an income elsewise then he can legallly say he has no income and in that context can be broke.

The money is held in trust and the trust by law is the entity that receives the income.

There are people who do this for tax purposes. There are also people who do this as a way to protect their assets from lawsuits.

At a certain age or event in life(like having a family) the trust will then provide an income. This is similar to retirement accounts like social security, you have money in the account but it doesn't provide you an income until you reach retirement age and then you will begin to receive money from the account and must report the social security money received as income.

I read the entire 2001 will and he did agree to being executor of the estate.

This shows to me that he has a financially savvy mind and isn't ignorant of financial law.

Remember when Clinton was being a lawyer with the Lewinsky affair, I think that is going on here. Under the law Clinton wasn't lying because of the wording and the context that he used them in.

It is hard to believe he has no money but it is legally possible that he has no income.

Note he states he has no income and then states that his means of living support came ANS. Under law if he is in the custody fight, which he is sure to be in obviously, then he never lied about having money. During a custody battle you will have to demonstrate to can provide for the child.

He can demonstrate this by having a trust that he is sole beneficiary to and that will then provide payments to him.

Do not be surprised when this lawyer speak comes out to reveal this as the case.

277. Before you go and jump to conclusions as to why HKS would set up a financial structure for himself in that manner, you may want to think about the powerful Marshall family.

They could possibly have gotten their lawyers to file suit against his assets for something that may seem frivolous to most but is use as a dirty legal maneuver to weaken your opponent. If his assets are gone after and you drag out the fight he may become broke before the end of the legal maneuvering and then it would be difficult for him to get his case in before the court with substantial evidence to win.

Large monetary suits have had some awful yet legal maneuvers along this line.

In business lawsuits larger companies have used this type of strategy. The smaller company goes broke and becomes defunct and thats the end of the case. If the smaller company no longer operates then it can longer sue.

In case where individuals are involved the lawyer going broke is a maneuver that has worked for the more powerful litigant to prevail, at least with civil law.

280. A very good family friend that YOU all know who he is, told me one day many years ago...Surround yourself with winners.. People who have integrity and you will become a winner by earned effort and work. I can say that Ans tried, but was derailed by her own self in the mirror...Funny thing , now he face is rotting while they fight for somehting that may never be there. 281. Actually I was impressed about Howard Stern. FACT: most lawyers that take a case on contingency START at 33.3% of the amount obtained. One lawyer I know is suing over a wrongful death suit. His fee: 50% off the top even if his client gets nothing. If the case goes to trial his fee goes to 60%! Ask any lawyer. The standard fee is 33.3%! I almost fell over when Howard said 6 measely percent. If I ever have to sue someone I will look Mr. Stern up. Most lawyers won't even take a case on a contingentcy. Just in case there are stupid people reading this, taking a case on contingency means the lawyer gets absolutely no money up front or during the case. They only get paid IF they win the case. You have to have a good lawyer confident he can win. Remember NO ONE ELSE was willing to take Anna Nicole's case.
I'm also tired of everyone saying "Howard Stern kept me from Anna Nicole." ANYONE who is famous always has people crawling out of the woodwork to "know' them again. Does anyone really think they can call Tom Cruise up and have him come to the phone? I'm sure Mr Stern did tell people Anna was not available. Does that make him the bad guy? I myself have been in a situation that lots of people wanted to talk to me or see me. Even if they were people I really liked I just didn't have the time or energy to see or talk to them when THEY wanted. People might not like my husband either. Thankfully he screened my calls.

This idea that Howard was responsible for her drug use is insane. Anna Nicole checked herself into Betty Ford BEFORE she even knew Howard. Obviously she had some kind of problem before she even knew him. The fact that "Atilla the Hun" (Anna Nicole's mother Virgie) blames him is stupid. Why doesn't she blame herself? She has spent more time with Anna Nicole than anyone else. Does that mean she caused her to use drugs? Actually, when I first saw her I understood for the first time WHY Anna Nicole turned out like she did. If I had a mother like that I might use drugs too!
