Brit Leads Paps on Crazy Chase

Sporting an atrocious blonde wig and stroking a puppy, Britney Spears led more than 50 frenzied paparazzi on a wild car chase around Southern California yesterday afternoon.

After posing for shutterbugs in the passenger seat of a silver Mercedes on Sunset Blvd., Britney and her driver led the pack of photogs all the way to the beach, before pulling a U-turn and heading to the Hotel Bel Air. Confused, the photogs followed along, never losing a step.

As Britney arrived at the hotel, paps turned a nearby two-way street into a parking lot, as they flew out of their cars to try and get a shot of the rehab-hopping singer. Eventually, Brit's entourage ushered her into the building, where she stayed for the rest of the night.

49. Everybody needs to leave this girl alone and let her figure out what she needs. Yes the kids need to be cared for, but all of you who are throwing stones need to quit. She is obviously hurting and is reaching out. She needs help and all the cameras and comments from all of you perfect people need to stop. This poor girl cannot even have a life because of people who have nothing better to do than try to give out advise and have no idea what you all are talking about. it is just amazing how when she was so perfect in everyones eyes and hitting it big, how everyone was behind her. Now you rip her to shreds and cause so much pain. Leave this poor girl alone. She needs to be uplifted not slammed down by a bunch of people who I am sure have made many mistakes of their own. It just so happens they happen to be little peons in life that knowbody has a clue of their flaws. You have no idea what it is like to live her life. all you do is pass judgement and really have no clue what she goes through daily. I say this to Britney. The prayers are going up for you and we serve a powerful God who can see us through the worst of trials. It is my prayer that God gives you the strength to endure this and get through it. He says in his word that HE will never leave us nor forsake us. Hang onto Jesus and he will pull you through and do not listen to all the garbage people say. This is your life and I do not believe anybody has a clue what you are going through. Remember the Bible says " I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" Phillippians 4:13. Just lean on him and it will all work out. We still love you and are praying fervently for you.

And that pretty much says it all ... Britney Spears isn't going to get re-rehabilitated one bit, as long as she still thinks that she's a cut above the rest .. and in a re-hab like "Promises" who wouldn't think that?
Come on people ... Britney is in denial and is only rehab because she was pressured to be there.
My 18 year old son is a little more cynical .... he says that her main fan-base (which were pre-teens and younger teens) have all grown up and so have their music tastes.... they've become more eclectic in their music choices, and because of that she has lost her main core of fans. His point? That would be that this whole thing is a big publicity stunt in an attempt to bring her more recognition and make an attempt to re-invent herself in order to re-start her (waning) career. I hate to be such a cynic and I wasn't until I started reading other (more recent) stuff. It is beginning to seem a little suspicious to me .. just a little too staged and too 'convienient'
