Court Says Not So Fast, Body Going Nowhere

A Florida appeals court issued a stay Monday in the dispute over Anna Nicole Smith's body, ruling that her remains cannot be moved to the Bahamas until the court hears a challenge from the former Playmate's estranged mother, Virgie Arthur.

Arthur had filed a motion with Judge Larry Seidlin, asking him to reconsider Friday's ruling which paved the way for Anna to be buried on the Bahamas. He denied that request. Arthur also filed an appeal with the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, which has now agreed to hear the challenge.

62. People are not fair to Howard Stern - leave him alone. He was the only one who stayed with Anna and as far as I am concerned Larry B is just a Booty call - so why did Anna run away from him ? If she wanted him to be around he would have been -
And who made birk an expert on medicines that Anna was taking -
if he was that concerned why didn't he tell the nurses at the hospital - he isn't as clean as he presents to be. Who is paying for his attorney and that Arthur's attorney anyway does anybody know ?

People - Howard Stern has 6M coming to him if ever the 500 M is awarded, now that is if awarded, and does Arthur and Birk- know that there may be no money ?

65. OMG, this is so sad. This woman cared nothing about her daughter when she was alive, except to send her cracked out cousin to her house to ask for money. ANS needs to be buried and it needs to be with her son. It's where she wanted. If this woman has any heart, she'll let her daughter rest in peace. ANS wasn't a saint by any means, and I actually didn't like her much, but come on. It is time to bury this woman and let her rest. I bet it's another month and they will have no choice but to cremate.

Virgie is a manipulative controlling vindictive woman...she couldn't control ANS in life and she couldn't accept that SHE is the reason ANS turned to drugs in the first place [and was constantly searching for love and loyalty] so now she wants to try to control ANS in death. Virgie only cares about $$$$$$. ANS wanted notihng to do with her. Someone needs to set Virgie straight! All Virgie wants is to sell tix to ANS' grave from her trailer.

If Virgie was truly worried about ANS' drug use why didn't she go to the press YEARS ago???

And WHO is paying for Virgie's attorneys??? Don't also forget her other daughter is shopping the 'trainwreck' manuscript [hatchet job on ANS]. They showed her respect living and they show her no respect dead.

72. The first freak show judge should follow the laws of the state of Fla..He should be thrown off the bench!
The higher court had no choice but to follow the laws...Hey all you mother bashers do you know how long Anna Nicole fought over Marshall's remains and that the family had to have him cremated and than she fought over the ashes which she left sitting in the funeral home for 4 years until the Funeral director was about to give her 1/2 to the marshall family .. Than she proceeded to carry them around in that sicko reality show of her's..This is a case of what goes around comes around! The law is that her mother should have the right of burying her body in Fla and that is a fact! Judge TV want to be was not following the law because he was too busy trying to make a 3 day TV drama out of what should have taken an hour!
Cut and dried! if nopt for her mother Vicki aka Anna Nicole would not have existed! Amother never stops loving a child no matter what a mess they make of their own lives!

75. Open letter to Virgie

This just goes to show why your daughter hated you so much. I had my doubts at first if ANS was being too tough on you but obviously she was not. You are one cold hearted bitch. After over 2 weeks you cannot even let your daughter who you claim to love so much rest in peace. SHAME ON YOU. You give mothers a bad name..... If it was you would you not want to be buried next to your child wherever that may be. Danny is already buried in the Bahames let her be buried there. To even think of desicrating his grave and having him moved to Texas is unbelievable. You need to think twice about all you are doing. I actually felt a little bad for you but as a mother myself I am ashamed of you as you should be for your self. Prove to all of us how much you loved her and forget about the money ( as this is what it is starting to appear is all you are looking for) and bury your poor daughter.
