Lets Get This Party Started
Anatomy of a Disaster at "Grey's"

UPDATE: ABC Television Studio released the following statement this afternoon: "Katherine is an integral part of Grey's Anatomy and its success. Fortunately, we have a long term contract to ensure she'll be with the show for several years to come. In recognition of her tremendous talent and value to the show, we recently approached Katherine with an offer to raise her compensation significantly above the terms of her current contract. We were surprised to see this gesture reported negatively in the press, and want to reassure fans that she will continue as Izzie Stevens."

If you thought Isaiah-gate was the end of it, think again: The prognosis is not good at "Grey's Anatomy," with stars' scalpels out about a new spin-off and one big name – Katherine Heigl – ending contract talks completely.

"Grey's" stars are "feeling blindsided," reports Star (via MSNBC), after the news emerged about a spin-off of the series featuring Kate Walsh's character. "The rest of the cast seemed instantly resentful of [Walsh]," says a source, because they all thought they were going to get their own show. Dr. Grey herself, Ellen Pompeo, was especially unhappy, as she thought she should've been consulted.

Meanwhile, Katherine Heigl, who plays Izzie, has ended contract talks with the show over her salary, reports People, and the mag's source says she's "disappointed and hurt" that she's not as highly valued as Sandra Oh and Isaiah Washington.

Another Paris Driving Mishap

Paris Hilton and virgins don't seem to mix well. The star went to the Virgin Megastore in West Hollywood to pick up some DVDs last night at around 10:30, when she was stopped by the cops -- and her $200K 2007 Bentley Continental GTC Convertible was towed away.

Paris' publicist, Elliot Mintz, tells TMZ the heiress was exiting the parking structure which "is brightly lit so she had not noticed that her headlights were not activated." As she drove a few blocks, she was confronted by other bright lights -- those of the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies tell TMZ Paris was speeding down Sunset Blvd. without headlights. She was pulled over and deputies discovered she was driving with a suspended license. According to Mintz, "If that was the case, she was not aware of it."

Last month Hilton pled no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving. TMZ is checking to see if her license was suspendedParis Hilton Galley: Click to launch photos as part of her sentence. If so, she could have violated probation.

Paris was cited and her 2007 Blue Bentley was impounded. Just another day in the life.

Bobby Brown Melts Down Before Slammer

Bobby Brown Booking Photo and Gallery: Click to launch photosIt was a rough weekend for Bobby Brown. He got arrested on Sunday for failing to show at a child-support hearing, but before that, as Ben Widdicombe of the New York Daily News reports, he didn't do so well in an impromptu appearance at Boston's Whiskey Park club. "The deejay was spinning New Edition and Bobby Brown hits," says a spy. "Bobby got up, grabbed the mic, and started singing. He was sweating unbelievably and was so out of breath." After his futile attempt at crooning, Brown "took off for the bathroom" and looked like he was going to give back his dinner. No word from Brown's rep on the incident.

Shar JacksonParty Favors, Jackson Edition: K-Fed and Shar Jackson Not Back Together ... 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) Gives Kid Lots of Cash ... Michael Jackson Clears Up Vegas Rumors

Shar Jackson just wants to make one thing totally clear: She and Kevin Federline are not back together, she tells Us. Shar, the Fed's first wife and mother of two of his kids, was seen at his house over the weekend. But the pair were just getting together so their kids could meet Sean Preston and Jayden James, the Spears-Federline brood. ... Rapper 50 Cent is formalizing his child support payments because he thinks his son Marquise's mom, Shaniqua Tompkins, is getting a little too greedy, say Rush & Molloy. Fitty took little Fitty (Five Cent?) to the NBA All-Star Game last week. ... Michael Jackson is "reviewing and evaluating" proposals for his Las Vegas show, his rep said yesterday. There's no deal in place in Sin City, and Jacko will not be making an appearance on "American Idol," just to set the record straight.

46. WHAT? Federline left his PREGNANT wife for MONEY, not because Britney is so beautiful and sweet, because of her bank account, so he can go to hell. Britney has more than 100 millions, she is one of the most famous people and she is 25...just add...you end crazy like she is now. please, I bet anyone of us with all that money and power, mother of 2 and only 25 ends not only shaving our heads but our whole body! Shar I am sorry to say, has dignity. She stepped aside when her "smart" guy decided he wanted more of life and went after Britney.
Grey's Anatomy cast: are you kidding us?????The show has not being on even for a year and you are foghting with each other, calling names, demanding own shows and more money?? And then they say Britney has gone mad....

47. Several of the comments are from peopl who seem to think that Katherine Heigl is in line for a spin-off. Read it again, people! It's Kate Walsh (Dr. McDreamy's former wife), NOT Katherine Heigl, who may get a spinoff. Heigl wants more money for her role as "Izzy." The article didn't state how much she is making compared to Ellen Pompeio, for example, but she has certainly become an important part of that show and the producers should recognize that.

In my opinion, Katherine Heigl is an excellent actress who just also happens to be beautiful. From her reluctant but thoughtful comments about the Isaiah Washington issue, and her personal appearances on tv , it appears she is also a kind and considerate young woman.

48. Who really cares about Walsh. She is the most unlikeable character on the show.
I don't think any of these people are ready for their own show. Not because they're not talented, its just to soon...this show is still in its infancy as are the actors acting in it. They really need to just go on the way they've been...Walsh is definetly not a worthy actress based on her character on the show...I think it will bomb. Everyone should just relax and wait for their just dues...

49. Well Frank what the hell are YOU doing here? Looks like you need to listen to your own advice dumbass!

50. Shar Jackson would be stupid to take Kevin Federline back, lets remember he cheated on her when she was pregnant, thats just really low, she deserves so much better than him!

51. Il ove Grey's Anatomy and hate to see all the bad things happening, but negotiating for more money !! They need more experience and need to concentrate on the job they have. They will look back some day after acting like this and say what in the hell was I thinking ????

52. You know that last show with meredith drowning was the pits. These overpaid so called actors and actresses are abunch of babies. Don't they know that the average person watching their show wish they made what they do for 1 episode for the year. Look we should just start boycotting these shows, movies where they make 20 million for a pic and then the pic bombs. I stopped going to the movies a few yrs. ago when I heard that Julia Roberts, Harrison Ford, ets make $20 mil a pic. The same goes for TV.

53. Don't you love hearing stories about self-absorbed millionaires crying that they aren't making enough money because they're not raking in even more money? I hope the story about Heigl is false, because I would hate to see her added to the list of self-absorbed pigs who already run around Hollywood. Heigl probably makes a hell of a lot more money than most people would dream of.

Second, I would love to see Paris' skanky butt thrown in jail. Maybe that will teach her about what normal people have to do when they break the law. Her publicist needs to be fired for painting her like a complete and total airhead. It might be true that she is one, but I thought it was a publicist's job to make dumb blondes look smart. BTW, I'm blonde-ish, so feminists who hate blond jokes can do what we used to say back in the 90's..yeah, sit and spin. Ha! (Yeah, I'm that old.)

TMZ made a booboo. That's nothing new since TMZ is a tabloid which specializes in twisting facts or pulling stories out of their bums altogether, but Federline and Jackson were never married. They were engaged to be married. Big difference. Well, at least to the IRS it is.

It's kinda funny that Jacko is even considering doing a show in Vegas. I thought most (if not all) states outlaws freak shows decades ago. Oh, and too bad about him not appearing on Idol. His nose falling off on stage would've even made the ratings higher.

Ok, kiddies...back to work here. The next installment of my stupid horsecrap responses will be whenever I next feel like doing so.

54. This goes back to Heigl's comments that if Isaiah Washington hurt her friend TR Knight that she would bring him down! WTF? Beyotch you are 2 minutes off the Greyhound bus from Kansas or wherever u came from and you got a break! How are you gonna bring anybody down??? Isaiah Washington has done more movies, and more tv appearances than Katherine Heigl has watched!!!!! And to compare herself to Sandra Oh please. There was this little show called Arliss that I am sure Heigl used to watch when she was still in high school! And Pompeo? What did she do before Greys????? All these newbie tv actors need to get a grip before they turn Grey's Anatomy into Twin Peaks!

55. Why should Katherine Heigl be consulted abput a spin off of the show. Secondly is it not it a bit early for there to be rants about salary.Despite its success to date, Grey's Anatomy is not yet so well established a show that these bickerings cannot ruin it.
additionally these are all relatively new people to tv. they should be grateful that they have a job!
I sincerely hope this latest drama in the life of grey's does not end it for everone.

56. HAHA ! (regarding Cha)
I completely disagree with CHA whomever left that post . I think you would complain too if you were at a job where your same female co-workers were making more money than you haha! (laughing so hard- don't kid yourself)
< I mean isnt that why you left such a post>?! rofl.. It's cause your upset that someone who is making MORE than YOU is complaining>I guess some peeps aren't intelligent enough to see that irony haha
Well, it took me about ten-seconds ROFL this is hilarious..

Posted at 3:29PM on Feb 28th 2007 by gimma a break!

57. Grey's Anatomy is not that good of a show for all the cast to be acting like demanding little Bitches, who the hell cares who leaves or stays..they all can be replaced faster than you can say ....Mc Idiots!
They are all over paid already..it's a joke!

58. I hope that all the drama off screen at Grey's Anatomy doesn't ruin the show itself or make people tired of hearing about it & stop watching. Isaiah Washington's comments & behavior were wrong. No one needed Katherine Heigl to point that out. I agree that she should be happy to be working on a popular show. She should also keep her perspective about her character's importance in the grand scheme of the show. But, if she is that unhappy, she needs to go. And do so quietly so that she may actually get work again.

59. I think that Katharine Heigel should get the same amount of money as Washington. Here is why, When the Friends cacstmates started out, they all started out at the same base pay. Each year they got a bump in their checks and then know how to walk up to their producers and ask as a group for the million dollar salary. A show like Grey's is the same thing, they are all pivotal, I think you watch the show not because of 'one' person but becuase of the ensemble, the awards that they have received are for 'ensemble'. Also, take into account that last year's emmys...Heigl was the only one nominated. For people to down talk her "acting chops" is ridiculous....give her the money, they are all equal. Sandra Oh isn't a high demand actress on the big screen....look at her box office for "night listener" and "hard candy"...and Washington....has he been in anything else?

60. Grey's .....
FIRE THEM ALL, CANCEL the show! It's a great show but all the bickering amongst the cast members has certainly taken the ENTERTAINMENT out of it.
Correct me if I'm wrong but ENTERTAINING is their job...Yet GREED and biggoted remarks by some cast members have ruined it.
Send a message to ALL of Hollywood......behave, do your job, and act like grown ups OR....the show most definately WON'T go on.
It really is THAT simple.
