Lets Get This Party Started
Anatomy of a Disaster at "Grey's"

UPDATE: ABC Television Studio released the following statement this afternoon: "Katherine is an integral part of Grey's Anatomy and its success. Fortunately, we have a long term contract to ensure she'll be with the show for several years to come. In recognition of her tremendous talent and value to the show, we recently approached Katherine with an offer to raise her compensation significantly above the terms of her current contract. We were surprised to see this gesture reported negatively in the press, and want to reassure fans that she will continue as Izzie Stevens."

If you thought Isaiah-gate was the end of it, think again: The prognosis is not good at "Grey's Anatomy," with stars' scalpels out about a new spin-off and one big name – Katherine Heigl – ending contract talks completely.

"Grey's" stars are "feeling blindsided," reports Star (via MSNBC), after the news emerged about a spin-off of the series featuring Kate Walsh's character. "The rest of the cast seemed instantly resentful of [Walsh]," says a source, because they all thought they were going to get their own show. Dr. Grey herself, Ellen Pompeo, was especially unhappy, as she thought she should've been consulted.

Meanwhile, Katherine Heigl, who plays Izzie, has ended contract talks with the show over her salary, reports People, and the mag's source says she's "disappointed and hurt" that she's not as highly valued as Sandra Oh and Isaiah Washington.

Another Paris Driving Mishap

Paris Hilton and virgins don't seem to mix well. The star went to the Virgin Megastore in West Hollywood to pick up some DVDs last night at around 10:30, when she was stopped by the cops -- and her $200K 2007 Bentley Continental GTC Convertible was towed away.

Paris' publicist, Elliot Mintz, tells TMZ the heiress was exiting the parking structure which "is brightly lit so she had not noticed that her headlights were not activated." As she drove a few blocks, she was confronted by other bright lights -- those of the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies tell TMZ Paris was speeding down Sunset Blvd. without headlights. She was pulled over and deputies discovered she was driving with a suspended license. According to Mintz, "If that was the case, she was not aware of it."

Last month Hilton pled no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving. TMZ is checking to see if her license was suspendedParis Hilton Galley: Click to launch photos as part of her sentence. If so, she could have violated probation.

Paris was cited and her 2007 Blue Bentley was impounded. Just another day in the life.

Bobby Brown Melts Down Before Slammer

Bobby Brown Booking Photo and Gallery: Click to launch photosIt was a rough weekend for Bobby Brown. He got arrested on Sunday for failing to show at a child-support hearing, but before that, as Ben Widdicombe of the New York Daily News reports, he didn't do so well in an impromptu appearance at Boston's Whiskey Park club. "The deejay was spinning New Edition and Bobby Brown hits," says a spy. "Bobby got up, grabbed the mic, and started singing. He was sweating unbelievably and was so out of breath." After his futile attempt at crooning, Brown "took off for the bathroom" and looked like he was going to give back his dinner. No word from Brown's rep on the incident.

Shar JacksonParty Favors, Jackson Edition: K-Fed and Shar Jackson Not Back Together ... 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) Gives Kid Lots of Cash ... Michael Jackson Clears Up Vegas Rumors

Shar Jackson just wants to make one thing totally clear: She and Kevin Federline are not back together, she tells Us. Shar, the Fed's first wife and mother of two of his kids, was seen at his house over the weekend. But the pair were just getting together so their kids could meet Sean Preston and Jayden James, the Spears-Federline brood. ... Rapper 50 Cent is formalizing his child support payments because he thinks his son Marquise's mom, Shaniqua Tompkins, is getting a little too greedy, say Rush & Molloy. Fitty took little Fitty (Five Cent?) to the NBA All-Star Game last week. ... Michael Jackson is "reviewing and evaluating" proposals for his Las Vegas show, his rep said yesterday. There's no deal in place in Sin City, and Jacko will not be making an appearance on "American Idol," just to set the record straight.

121. I love the show Grey's Anotomy and I really like all the cast members especially Katherine. And first of all this report only tells on side of the story. No one knows why she is really upset. There could be more factors every story has a two way street. Yea, Katherine shouldn't have went public to poeple's mag. so soon but that was her decision. If she left and everyone else, the show wouldn't be the same and a lot of people who really do enjoy the show (including me) would be very unhappy....

122. Having worked with Ms. Spears I can say that she is a strong woman, and has hit a few bumps in the road. That being said; How many of you out there can say they haven't had problems?

123. Too many petty ramblin's starting this early. This could kill the show before it's time, not to mrntion a spin-off. Too many big heads this early on, they can be replaced! If the crap doesn't end.

128. Grey's Anatomy: ABC & the creators clearly planned and started this spin-off too soon. The cast needed more time to heal and gel again because when a person feels hurt or betrayed, more money is not necessarily going to fix things. I hope the cast and ABC work it out. Suggestion: put the spin-off on the back burner for a while!!

129. Paris Hilton would be, and is, a big nothing without her family money. Why print information about her as it only makes her feel important.

130. I'm sorry, but anyone who comes on here and bad mouths "Grey's" needs to recognize that it is the #1 show on tv, as far as ratings. Millions of people can't be wrong.

As far as Katherine Heigl, she is quite a popular character on the show. Many of the people on the message boards that I belong to thinks she is THE reason to watch the show. She was nominated at this year's Golden Globes for Best Supporting Actress in a drama TV series. Even though she didn't win, I think her nomination shows how coveted Katherine is as an actress. (Everyone knows the Golden Globes are what the real American public thinks.....it's not the Emmys or the Oscars.......kinda like how the American Music Awards tend to reflect popular music and not the crappy old-folks-ruled-Grammys). Heigl has got major talent. I think that amongst the main characters in the show, the most talented are Heigl, Chanda Wilson, Sandra Oh, and Ellen Pompeo (obviously critics agree too since all 4 of these ladies have either won or been nominated for major awards).......in the middle tier, we have TR Knight, Justin Chambers, James Pickins Jr, and Kate Walsh...........Dempsey is ok, but overrated, Isaiah Washington is just a pompous ass, and Eric Dane is only there because he's hot.

Do I think Addison is a worthy enough character for a spin-off? No way!!!! While her character has been growing on me lately and I've kinda been drooling for her and Alex to get together, I don't think enough people like her or that she has anough depth to hold the same audience that Grey's has attained.

Do I think Heigl deserves to make just as much as Sandra Oh? Of course she does!!!! Both of their characters are an integral part of the show and are equally as valuable and cherished among fans.

Do I think Washington needs an attitude adjustment? Hell yes!!!! His character isn't absolutely necessary to the show. He's kinda like a blip to me that happens in the story of Christina. I guess I look at McDreamy in the same way....he's just a blip in the story of Meredith. Washington's gay comments are way out of line. Not to mention his jealousy he harbors toward Dempsey since he thinks he should be the McDreamy of the show.....get over yourself Isaiah!!!!

131. Re: Katharine Heigel, She is being punished by the BLACK creator of the series for standing up and speaking the TRUTH about the despicable behavior of Ia "black brother" siaah Washington toward a fellow cast member, and he allegedly started a fight on their "set" where he slung his slur. He futher compounded his attack against that gay cast member by calling him a "faggot" again on national TV. Washington's arrogance and anger is obvious even to the most ignorant. Heigel has every right to defend a maligned person who also happens to be her friend, (how many times do YOU stand up for your friends?) and despite what anyone thinks, she doesn't have to keep her mouth shut just for job security. What a spineless and pathetic attitude to tell her to play politics just to keep a job.
In my opinion it is REVERSE DESCRIMINATION by a black producer against a beautiful, blonde haired caucasian. Figure it out yourself, it is a no brainer.

132. Whats up with people wanting Paris to go to jail? For a misdemeanor at that. Sounds to me like a lot of jealousy out there. It's not just Paris, I feel that way about anybody recieving a misdemeanor. Maybe if you people had a Bentley, or the smarts to make enough money to acquire one you would feel different?
Me, I'm happy with my 1980 Yugo.

135. Katherine Heigle was a series regular on "Rosswell", a few seasons ago. Apparently no one but me remembers that. I for one, am delighted she has gotten another show.

She is a very fine actress. Who else could have made us believe that she fell for Denny so deeply and so QUICKLY! In terms of story lines, I found this ridiculous, but with Ms Heigle's acting ability, I believed it.

I think the producers should go the way of "Friends" and pay everyone equally. They are all integral to the success of the show.

On the other hand, I think they killed off the wrong Dr. Grey last week. Meredith is a BORING lead!
