Celebrity Feuds
JT Making Cracks at Prince Again?

In his newest music video, "Give It to Me," Justin Timberlake appears to be taking another swipe at one of his biggest musical influences, Prince.

The track features JT, Nelly Furtado and Timbaland each doing a verse that takes a shot at someone. No word on who Furtado is singing about, and rumors have Timbaland taking aim at fellow producer Scott Storch. But Timberlake is more than likely slamming the Purple One when he says, "Now if sexy never left, then why is everybody on my s**t?"

Prince did a post-Emmy party last year where he joked, "For whoever is claiming that they are bringing sexy back, sexy never left!"

The new song wouldn't be the first crack Justin has made at Prince's expense. At the Golden Globes earlier this year, JT squatted in front of the microphone to make fun of Prince's small stature, when accepting an award on Prince's behalf. Hey JT, pick on someone your own size!

77. Prince = genius funk and soul brilliance, best live show complete with goosebumps.
Timberlake = nice elastic voice and body, elevatory-ish music, no drive to his music.

78. One more thing...

You and whoever else had a problem w/ what I said, are probably one of those hypocritical closet racists who love calling everyone else "racist pigs" all the while calling black "niggers" behind their backs & amongst your little friends.

You hypocritical cracker bastard!

80. Dear JT Not A Fan (AKA #60),

I appreciate your comment as I really wanted to hear from folks concerning my observation. To use your example, I have been well aware of JT Taylor from Kool and The Gang since I was kid in the 70's. James Taylor precedes even JT Taylor as his career started in the 60's. It's really no big deal and point taken from some good comments out there about JT being just initials. Nowadays we love to shorten names...(JLo, JHud, TomKat...)The whole point behind my original post is that these kids who love Justin don't know enough about their music history to know who the first "JT" is. Again...not WWIII just an opinion from someone who misses the time when music had more organic sound.

81. Justin should stop tryin to punk Prince. I'm sure Prince influenced him to make music. Without Tim or Pharell Justin wouldn't have sold half as many records. Respect the artists that layed it down 4 you kid!!!!

82. Prince is a real man with real talent, and
Justin is just a real fake!

I can't believe he thinks he is even close to the accomplishment of Prince. 30 years from now he will still be a snot nosed, untalented wanna be.

83. I WON'T SAY A BUNCH OF BAD STUFF ABOUT JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, I WILL TAKE THE HIGHER ROAD, BUT I DON'T BELIEVE IT IS WISE TO DISRESPECT ANYONE , NO MATTER WHO IT WAS HE WAS RUNNING DOWN, BECAUSE WHAT GOES AROUND , COMES AROUND AND THE MUSIC BUSINESS HAS NO GUARANTEE OF LONGEVITY, IT TAKES A CONSTANT WORK, REINVENTING YOURSELF TO STAY FRESH AND NEW AS PEOPLE AND FADS CHANGE, SO TO LAST AS LONG AS PRINCE HAS IS AMAZING TO SAY THE LEAST, AND AS A LONG TIME PRINCE ADMIRER, FAN , I WILL SAY THIS ON PRINCE'S BEHALF; PRINCE HAS ALOT OF TALENT , CAN PLAY OVER 20 INSTRUMENTS AND WRITTEN COUNTLESS SONGS, HE HAD EVEN HAD BEEN IN MOVIES (NOT JUST PURPLE RAIN) GAVE MANY PEOPLE A START IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS, WRITTEN SONGS FOR MANY OTHERS AND HAS STAYING POWER. THE MAN IS SO FULL OF TALENT AND IDEAS, THOUGH I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING HIS MUSIC FORABOUT 27 - 28 YEARS NOW, HE STILL CONTINUES TO SURPRISE AND AMAZE ME AND I AM IN AWE OF HIS TALENT. PRINCE WAS ALSO INDUCTED IN THE ROCK N ROLL MUSIC HALL OF FAME IN 2004 AMONG OTHER AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS I CAN'T EVEN KEEP UP WITH, AND CONTINUES ON AND ON TO MAKE MUSIC WHICH SEEMS TO HAVE NO END.
A WISE PERSON COULD LEARN FROM PRINCE AND OTHERS WHO KNOW THE ROPES AND HAVE BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH AND ABLE TO STAY IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY FOR SO LONG, USUALLY IT DOESN'T TAKE LONG FOR THE MUSIC INDUSTRY TO CHEW YOU UP AND SPIT YOU OUT AND ON TO THE NEXT NEW RISING STAR.
SO IT IS SAD, THAT THERE SEEMS TO BE LITTLE RESPECT COMING FROM JUSTIN, JUST PLAIN OLD MANNERS AND RESPECT FOR PRINCE AND OTHERS WHO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO STAY IN THE BUSINESS AND HAVE ACCOMPLISHED SO MUCH! MUSICIANS/ ARTISTS ARE A TREASURE GIVING US OF THEMSELVES THE GIFT OF MUSIC, AND INNER IDEAS ,DESIRES, AND ASPIRATION AND ANYONE WHO TREATS THAT KIND OF TALENT AS NOTHING , WELL, IT IS A CRYING SHAME.
EVEN IF WE DISLIKE SOMEONES MUSIC OR IDEAS, RESPECT,,i SAID R E S P E C T EACH OTHER AS HUMAN BEINGS AND FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTION AND IF WE COULD ALL RESPECT EACH OTHER MAYBE WE WOULDN'T BE MAKING REMARKS TO EACH OTHER , CALLING NAMES AND TRYING TO GET AHEAD OF EACH OTHER BY STOMPING DOWN THE OTHER PERSON, TRYING TO HOLD THEM BACK AND KEEP THEM FROM FINDING THEIR FULL POTENTIAL. WE HAVE TO FIND RESPECT AND LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER OUR FELLOW MAN/WOMAN.
IF THERE IS ANYTHONG TO BE LEARNED FROM THIS WHOLE MESS , MAYBE IT IS THIS AND TO KNOW THAT WHEN PEOPLE RUN OTHERS DOWN AND DISRESPECT THEM, IT REFLECTS THAT THEY ARE POLLUTED WITH A CONDITION OF THE HEART AND SOUL. IT SEEMS THAT WE HAVE BECOME OUR OWN "GOD" AND ALL WE TEND TO CARE ABOUT IS "I" AND "ME" "PRIDE COMETH BEFORE A FALL" SO ONE HAS TO BE CAREFUL!
