Britney Leaves Rehab ... Not for Long!

Britney Spears took a break from rehab last night, for more rehab.

Sporting a wig underneath a brown hat, Britney was reportedly heading to an AA meeting in Santa Monica last night, smiling all the way.

We're told that Britney, who was escorted into the support group by her assistant, returned to Promises treatment center right after the meeting.

121. Please. People do not leave rehab (and a really good one, at that) to attend an AA meeting. I don't think anyone is fooled by that. Britney is a sick young woman. She needed to "get out of here" so Promises said, fine, then attend a meeting. Of course, what Brit really wanted was more, more, more of the attention that she desperately craves. I've never been in rehab personally, but I would imagine a week or so in you are feeling pretty stripped down. I can't imagine a return to the public eye would do anything for really getting to the bottom of her substance abuse issues.

And PPD? Please. Any kind of "spin" to prove that Britney's not a common addict like the regular folks. If she "just has PPD", then when she's out of rehab and on meds she can feel free to return to the nightlife she loves. It'll be hard to be an addict/alcoholic who is honestly working a program to be out clubbing as much as she is. Someone at Promises I am sure is telling her that right now. Being clean means a complete lifestyle change. I have many friends in recovery and it ain't easy.

I hope Britney can truly heal herself, because those babies deserve a lot better than what they've been given. She needs to fire all the nannies and get back to feeling like a regular person. (minus the need to go to work 5 days a week, of course!) Leave Hollywood and the "yes men" behind. Enjoy her babies. Bond. Feel successful at being a mother. That will do wonders for her ability to keep it together. Unfortunately, I'm not sure she is going to be willing or able to do this. I hope Kevin can be both mom and dad for them if she can't.

122. No, rehab is not one long AA meeting, and yes, participants in treatment programs are permitted, sometimes required to attend outside recovery meetings. Anyone can stay sober in a treatment center. The real test comes when they let you out. Good luck to Britney. She's going to need it.

123. "There is a principle which is a bar aginst all information; which is proof angainst any argument; which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance. Thst principle is contempt prior to investigation"...Herbert Spencer

The foregoing is for those who make sage comments about the twin subjects of rehab. and recovery, sans any knowledge of them.

124. It really interesting to read all the stuff about people not linking Depression or PPD to Substane abuse

Simple

1: You are Depressed , its scarry , want climb out of the dark hole

2: You are desperate to feel better, from experience you know coke and alcohol will make it feel better

3: You start binging on the substance with Paris Hiltons helo of course and soon you cant do without them

4; Addiction sets in because its the only way to feel good!!!

5: If you accept help for Addiction and find the right drugs to deal with depression, you are on your way ot a beter place, otherwise YOU DIE...too bad ANS cant talk from her death bed!!!]

6: Finally , ppl who abuse substance usually have deep seated psychological problems the drugs are only an attempt ot make it better...................and some ,- NOT ALL -Drugs addicts are usually emotionally sentive people who cannot cope with the world they live in

125. Seriously now people, get a life. Who in their right mind cares what happens to this piece of white trash? This is what happens when morons make it big. Too many cents, and not enough sense is a horrible combination. She is just another example out of millions who've gone down that hole, never to return. I, for one, have had enough. Spend your energy being productive for your own families, and quit worrying about what this loser is doing.

127. Have you ever seen an addicted person this happy so soon? Recovery takes months /years/a lifetime. It looks to me like she is probably on some kind of drug to ease her pain or deal with her psych state. Drawing on your body is something that a young teen would do. Is this her real mental age? Too young to be taking care of children.

128. That's absolutely absurd! The whole point of inpatient rehab is to provide full rehabilitation service INPATIENT. For $48,000 a month, surely Promises provides counseling groups and AA meetings on the premises. This was just one more attempt to keep her face in front of the cameras. Personally, I'm ready to puke at the sight of her. Britney, get a life!!!

129. Take care, Britney! Getting sober is tough. Stick with your meetings!

130. For everybodys information, it is very common to have offsite AA meetings in many facilities. Your movements however are monitored, most are within walking distance and you need to go straight there and back - no detours.

I should know, I had a stint in there are well.

Good luck to her, rehab by no means is easy.

Funnier than Brit's mental state.

132. Rehabs like Promises do not have those meetings. They take you to them to introduce you them. If she is showing up at least she is trying to get her life together. It is sick to see the meetings she goes to stalked . She should be left alone for a minute and maybe she would have a chance at getting it back together

133.
Did BS shave her head just to wear those really ugly wigs? If you'r gonna go all the way Brit stop trying to hide it under a hat!
What gives with this girl?
Grow up and face the music, womanl --stop trying to blame everthing on the media, or your husbands, or being blitzed all the time! Best advice is to stop being so self-centered and think about the consequences of your selfish behavior before you act!
Maybe Brad and Angelina can direct BS toward helping those really suffering-- right in her own home state!

134. Brittany is a young woman with a whole lifetime ahead of her still with 2 precious babies that need her around for a long time. Let's just hope she sticks out this whole rehab thing and gets her troubled life together. Hopefully her adoring fans will support her and not tear her down every chance they get. She still has a chance to not become another celebrity casualty and end up like Anna Nicole Smith.

135. I really truly feel bad for Britney. She has always seem to be such a nice and happy person and to see her like this is just shocking. One of the things she needs most is for the media to just leave her ALONE. I hope she can get up and change all of this around. Lots of love coming from my way to all her family and her two beautiful boys. Think positive and don't give up. Everything will be ok.
