Will Anna Nicole's Son Be Exhumed?

Daniel SmithThe biological father of Daniel Smith wants his son's body exhumed and moved from the Bahamas to Texas.

In a letter obtained by TMZ, Billy Smith -- through his lawyer, Kara S.P. Butler -- is asking The Chief Magistrate of the Bahamas, Roger Gomez, "permission to have the remains of Daniel Wayne Smith (deceased) exhumed from its current location here in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and to be transferred where his father and family reside in the State of Texas."

Anna met Billy Smith at Jim's Krispy Fried Chicken in Mexia, Texas, where they both worked as teenagers. They married in 1985, and Daniel was born the following year.

When all is said and done, the US is where both of them should be buried. If ANS were able to think straight and think of her daughter, instead of her own self absorbed needs, she would have agreed, had she known she would die so soon.

What a freaky trainwreck everything associated with ANS is....

22. Say this is a joke! Here we go again. All this stuff to get ANS buried in the Bahamas and now his father is going to move him. This guy said he wanted her to be buried with her son. This guy must not know that it was ruled she was going to the Bahamas. I think this guy drinks from the same bottle as Vergie.

I bet Howie never even gave this one a thought. The live parent vs. the dead parent's "nominated executor"? I think it's safe to say a 20 year old boy didn't express an opinion where he wanted to be buried.

This just keeps getting more and more interesting.

26. Daniel hated the Bahamas! Daniel was just visiting his mother when he died! ANS and HKS did not want him buried in the US because they would be served with papers for the paternity suit!

Daniel was not buried until after ANS and HKS had their big party/promise ceremony! 39 days after his death! He is a US citizen buried in a place he hated!

ANA didn't care about what her own son wanted!

27. I haven't followed his relationship with his son... but for everyone saying that he just now has interest - how do you know that Anna didn't keep him away from Daniel? I mean, it sure looks like that is what she has done with Larry Birkhead - so how does anyone know that he didn't want to be a part of this kids life and she didn't let him? He also wanted to go to his funeral from what I remember and they weren't allowed and he and the rest of her family had a memorial down in Texas.

28. Well, clearly it is a move by Virgie and her attorneys to get control of the entire situation. SInce the bological father has not been a part of the boy's life while he was on the planet, why NOW? Think about that.

Appears to me that it is being engineered by Virgie and her team (also being paid for by someone else as we all know SHE has no $$) The entire thing makes me ill. Let those poor dead people rest in peace. Anna had enough struggles during her time here, why does her sorry excuse for a mother want to prolong the agony? Sickening.

29. This needs to STOP. Its really not funny nor entertaining. Its sickening, disgusting, and it shows what the true motives are. This is the one thing Ive been on Howards side on the whole time. LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!! Any judge with common sense is gonna see thru this and keep shutting down Virgie and whoever else she talks into going into this with.
