Elisabeth: "Rosie and I Are Friends"

256. Rosie needs to realize that others have different views and that she cannot force feed and intimate her views onto others. SHE IS A HYPOCRITE! As we have seen in the past, she is the first to retaliate if someone calls her names, makes fun of her, or doesn't agree with her agenda, etc. She doesn't have the wherewithall to understand that she doesn't have all the answers either. She is also pathetic to stand behind the "I'm a comedian" line if she says offensive things - LAME EXCUSE. As an educated, working woman, (who agrees with Elisabeth on many issues) I find it offensive and humiliating that these women (Joy and Rosie) don't DISCUSS views, RESPECTFULLY ACKNOWLEDGE others views and fail to work on compromised solutions. Nothing is ever accomplished by the "my point is right, if you don't agree with me your stupid" point of view. Find a Dennis Miller female equivalent to put on the View to help Elisabeth.

Lastly, I find it offensive that anything Elisabeth's husband may not may not do was mentioned on the show. How would this have played out if a man was talking about whether or not his wife did things in the privacy of her own house? I'm quite sure the women who brought up the subject on the View would be angry at their husbands if the tables were turned. It is time to grow back up - we are not in high school.

Where is Meredith? Can she come back (would she want to come back to such a humiliating, trashy show)? It would be interesting to hear what Meredith and Star both think of the View now - I would love if an article was written about that!

257. C'mon! Elizabeth IS young, but you can't say she doesn't hold her arguments. Wish I could have had such definitive opinions when I was her age. She seems to be up on a LOT of issues and although she may not say it, she knows what is happening. How DOES she get her conservative "opinions?" I think it MIGHT be her life's experiences and what she feels is right for HER and others.

Rosie is a big mouth and most of the time has to have the last word in arguments. I can't handle her!!!!

260. Does anyone else think that ABC needs to decide btwn Joy and Rosie? They are both menopausal white comedians from New York? And therefore they have pretty similar views. Although, I'd rather listen to their position than conservative Elisabeth's who probably could not be more annoying if she tried. I think her position on global warming was the most pathetic. If it was a nice corrupt republican backing it (which would of never happen but maybe now that its popular) -she'd be all for it. I can't stand that bs- let's all be purple.

261. Two people can be very good friends and....have very different political views. Two examples come to mind....Mary Matalin and James Carville, she's as Republican as he's Democrat and....Maria Shriver (Dem.) and Arnold Schwartznegger (Rep.)
Perhaps this website is looking for problems that don't exist between Rosie O'Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselback. Joy Behar is equally as Democratic and she and Elisabeth get along quite well.
As for The View's 'yenta's'.....I'll consider the source of that remark.

262. I think it would be really nice, as a service from Barbara Walters to the former, loyal viewers, to somehow announce when ROSIE, THE BIG MOUTH, WILL NOT be on the show, and we can start tuning in again...

I have a hard time believing that Rosie will be on there permanently, and the only thing worse if Barbara got Joan Rivers on there...

I used to watch the view everyday and loved all the ribbing that went along with their comments Lately it seems Rosie has taken over the show as if her own---Joy at times hangs her head as to say let me out of here! What happen to the good old days of fun and saying your opinions and movving on to another topic wake up Barbara its time Rosie is moved from her position at the table move her in the middle and let someone like Joy take over its not fun to watch anymore ---i know its about the views of others but only one person seems to have taken over as the head speaker

268. I really loved Elizabeth, I had a huge crush on her. I couldn't stand Rosie; never did, never will. I have to say I was shocked when I heard Rosie blasted the patriot act and Elizabeth defended it. Rosie is absoultly right. The patriot act takes away our civil rights and I am disappointed in her, I guess she would rather move to Russia and become a communist. She seems to me that she has alot to learn. Go Rosie on this one. IF i had to pick now who needs to leave the view, I would pick Elizabeth.
