76. Did I miss something here???? I don't recall reading the race of the police decoys. Are people ASSUMING the decoy prostitutes were or a race other the Black??? As far as the Michael Richards incident being compared to Kelis' flip out on the street would be that Michael was on stage and he was supposed to be entertaining the audience. I see little or no comparison. Clearly Kelis' behavior was out of line and it would seem that she was arrested for her actions, Michael was not arrested. And for the record, there are a lot of people who no only know who Kelis is but who admire her work as an artist.

i usually dont read too many of the comments, and never make posts, so i am new to the post. i definately recognize that many people have hate in their hearts for people of opposite backgrounds, i suppose it was just crazy to see it stem from such shallow information.

im not trying to judge or change feelings that people have, or things that they have posted, because like u said, they are entitled, but at least they could know the details of the story before assuming what happened....

78. Oh and Kelis is not a faux celebrity, she is a genuine celebrity and music artist. Unlike so many celebrities out there who are famous for having money and being slutty. Kelis may not be your cup of tea but she has always been and continues to be on the cutting edge of Hip Hop music. Her music is not for everyone but that is the best thing about music we don't have to like the same thing.

80. #75 - I was taken aback by the harsh and racially charged comments on this board. Yes, I am new to it and I expect dissent but this is beyond the pale, no pun intended. I was reassured to read your post. I don't feel like I have sufficient information to condemn Kelis', but having heard and seen Michaels rant I had no reservations about my feelings. I am please that I am not alone in my perspective, there must be another voice on this board to balance out the bitterness and hatred that seems to be the norm.
