It wasn't created by students from NYU--these have been around for ages. My great-aunt had one from 60 years ago.
These were actually made by the girl off of Charmed, rose McGowan i think her name was. i read about it about 6 months ago in a rag mag.
I remember the women using these things when I was a child growing up in Europe.....50 years ago.

Agree totally, these aren't new at all! But they are back in fasion. Last year when I went to Africa, everybody got them there... Weren't called "Luxe Link" tough.

This stupid thing has been around forever...Since when does TMZ do product drops on garbage like this? Do your homework - they didn't invent the item. You should stick to pictures of Paris Hilton's wonkey eye and stories about Nicole Richie's weight.

The one I had years ago did not have the decorative part on the top. TMZ, don't be so awestruck with recycled ideas. Anyone carrying expensive bags 20+ years ago had one.
I've totally seen hooks like this around before, but not one that can wrap around compact and attaches to the bag. I checked out their website. Any ones out there are bulky mammouths. Awesome design.
