Pimp My Purse

Every woman who's spent a small fortune on one of those designer handbags knows the dilemma of where to put their pricey pouch when in a restaurant. You don't want to put it on a filthy floor, and not all chairs make it easy to drape your strap over the back. If this sounds familiar, the crazy kids over at Luxe Link have got your bag!
Luxe Link
Created by a couple of clever NYU students, the small chrome piece allows you to attach your handbag to the edge of just about any table. About the size of a silver dollar, or one of Beyonce's hoop earrings, the Luxe Link has already won over celebrity fans like Tori Spelling and Lindsay Lohan.

Definitely a must-have for the girl who has everything ... in her purse!

16. I would love to get one, but I can't get their site to work...not even to get to the "Contact Us" page to tell them I can't get it to work.

Dear Author, please let them know that the site is responding very slowly, most of the PHP is not loading properly, and there is someone waiting to order one for herself, her sister, and her mother!

17. The Container Store has been carrying this for at least the past 5 years...

19. I actually just got a Luxe Link and I am pretty happy with it. I have the mirror finish style. It looks to be sturdy, not flimsy, and also looks rather high-end. I don't know what all the criticism's about. Despite one of the other comments on posted here, I don't see anything similar on the Container Store site- they have purse hooks that go over the door or over a cubicle partition- a completely different product. If you like Container Store's office-supply door hook better, good luck using it at a restaurant, plus, it looks cheap- who'd want to use it in public with a quality handbag even if you could. I'll stick with my shiny new Luxe Link. Maybe Luxe Link didn't invent the concept of a purse hook but their product appears to be unique in the US at least- I haven't seen any other purse hooks for this purpose and especially something that hooks on to your handbag strap and adds a little purse bling. When it hooks onto your purse strap, the loose end of the link snaps into the circular base, forming kind of a loose padlock-type shape, it just looks like some kind of purse jewelry. Then it unsnaps and you rest the circular base on top of the table and the links align in a ""J" shape below it. It's pretty snazzy, and immensely practical. I wish I had gotten one a few months ago when my purse fell over while sitting on the floor under a restaurant table and, as I found out later, my cell phone fell out and was lost there. (Went back to the restaurant later but it was too late). Anyway, my Luxe Link works exactly as advertised and is a better quality than I was expecting for a small accessory, plus it came in a beautiful keepsake pouch and nice box, so the whole presentation is very high quality if you are planning to give to someone as a present. Seriously, who cares who invented the original concept of a purse hook? Nothing else is a Luxe Link! (PS, I'm the envy of every woman when I dine out!)

20. I have one and it's envied by all my friends! It's a beautifully styled accessory to go with my bag and keep it in sight/off the dirty floors! Who cares when it was invented!!! Luxe Link is the one who made it a piece of art in it's own right! (and by the way, this looks like nothing I have ever seen in a dollar store - not that I spend a lot of time there!).

22. I agree with Cory (#18). I just picked one up and who cares who was the first to invent. It works great for me now!!! Love it.

24. Cory you don't have to lie to be cool,we're all your e-friends here.I prefer the "Everythings 99 cent Store " myself as they are 1 cent cheaper

25. Nah, All the other hooks out there are solid pieces of boring metal. I wrap mine up all neat in a compact circle or chain it to my purse strap for easy access. Trust me, all the others out there are a copy of each other. This Luxe Link is original. That's why I got it. I didn't want this huge hook bulking up my bag!

27. Steal an old European idea, make it look cheaper, and call it a "new" "American" invention, - how typical.

28. I dont know about you .... but where I go to eat not all of the retaurants have holes in the table to secure this clip. Good idea, but its not that cute of a design! A vintage one would be more of interest to add to my wardrobe!

29. To be fair: I have one and it totally doesn't need holes on the table. Just needs gravity.

30. Gone are the days of having to carry around a huge purse! Check out this cool little number called Celicase. Unlike most cell/PDA holders which only carry your device, Celi has an additional compartment for ID, money, credit cards, and lipstick, yet remains sleek and compact. Plus, you can carry it 4 different ways...clip it, clutch it, belt it, strap it. It is hand made from genuine Turkish leather and is the perfect clubbing, shopping, travelling, hands free(dom)accessory!
