"Laguna Beach" Star Busted in Underage Drinking Sweep

Jason Wahler MugshotTMZ has learned that former "Laguna Beach" star Jason Wahler was arrested and booked this weekend after cops say he "resisted a public officer" during a raid on underage drinkers in North Carolina.

According to police sources, the 20-year-old lied about his age when he was approached inside Rumors nightclub by members of the Alcohol Law Enforcement Division. Wahler claimed he wasn't carrying any ID that night, but insisted that police could "check TMZ.com" to verify his identity!

Wahler was taken to Pitt County Jail early Saturday morning, where sources claim he was anything but coopertive, shouting multiple obscenities throughout the booking process. After spending just a few hours behind bars, Wahler was released on $1000 bail.

Wahler is due to back in court in April.

Tyson MughsotThe 20-year-old has a history of run-ins with the law. Wahler was arrested in Los Angeles for misdemeanor battery after an altercation with a tow truck driver in September. Three weeks earlier, Wahler was ordered to complete five days of community service after he was arrested in New York for disorderly conduct.

16. Calif take note---North Carolina enforces laws on under age drinkers unlike California who looks the other way---Congrats NC on upholding the law.

20. Oh c'mon... he's 20 y/o... everyone underage drinks, I just turned 21 in January... and I started drinking when I was 18... so you self righteous assholes, need to stuff it, cause I'm sure you probably did too!!

21. Sure.........as some of you posters say........."Everyone underage drinks......etc..." Blah, blah, blah, blah.........
I'm not a teenager but I do remember that I did also but I definitely didn't act like this. When someone drinks and acts like he does, they have a DRINKING PROBLEM! It's so darn obvious to adults............to teenagers it isn't obvious because EVERYONE DRINKS and so you don't recongnize the problem. Some day you'll wish you spent more time studying, living life without alcohol and drugs, etc. At 20 or 21 you're just a baby!

23. Respect for the law is instilled by the parents or gaurdian. Some kids STILL ignore what they've been taught, regardless.
Getting caught trying to drink underage may be kind of normal for a 20 year old, but yelling obscenities through the booking process once arrested certainly is NOT, and denotes a major attitude and lack of control, or awareness of consequences that requires a MAJOR attitude adjustment. The previous misdemeanor battery against a tow truck driver is NOT normal either. Uses physical violence and verbal abuse to try to get what he wants, instead of doing the right thing, like not parking in a no-tow zone, and then behaving as if he is in the right. The poor tow truck driver. Plus disorderly conduct 3 weeks earlier, with 5 days community service.
Boy needs a major talking to by someone, because the next time he'll be doing service again - behind bars. Looks to be in need of a major lesson; can't have ppl like him running around battering and breaking the law as though they are somehow above it.

He's had a big break already at 20, starring on Laguna Beach, and instead of running with it, is not behaving as though he appreciates at all the headstart he's been given, and that many kids would give their eye teeth for, and appears to be self-destructing. If he wakes up now, he still might have a chance. If people care for him, they'll read him the riot act and let the chips he's created fall in such a way that he faces the consequences while he's young, or he'll just do it again.

Best Wishes to Jason. From the bit I've seen on Laguna, I think he can do it. Up to him.

25. If these "stars" want to insist on acting like spoiled, disrespectful brats then they should be treated as such. They should be publicly spanked, Not immortalized. They are after all human, just like the rest of us.

29. Some time in the slammer is probably inevitable with Jason's history, and might be all that can save him and make him realize that he is bound by the same laws as the rest of us are. He is in no way a star, and if he keeps it up he will have no future to look forward to.
