"Laguna Beach" Star Busted in Underage Drinking Sweep

Jason Wahler Mugshot TMZ has learned that former "Laguna Beach" star Jason Wahler was arrested and booked this weekend after cops say he "resisted a public officer" during a raid on underage drinkers in North Carolina.

According to police sources, the 20-year-old lied about his age when he was approached inside Rumors nightclub by members of the Alcohol Law Enforcement Division. Wahler claimed he wasn't carrying any ID that night, but insisted that police could "check TMZ.com" to verify his identity!

Wahler was taken to Pitt County Jail early Saturday morning, where sources claim he was anything but coopertive, shouting multiple obscenities throughout the booking process. After spending just a few hours behind bars, Wahler was released on $1000 bail.

Wahler is due to back in court in April.

The 20-year-old has a history of run-ins with the law. Wahler was arrested in Los Angeles for misdemeanor battery after an altercation with a tow truck driver in September. Three weeks earlier, Wahler was ordered to complete five days of community service after he was arrested in New York for disorderly conduct.

46. Hey, I live in Greenville,NC (Pitt County).. the club rumors that he was at..is a SHITTY CLUB! .. I wouldnt be caught dead there. I cant even believe he came to East Carolina University. Sure we have the title of being one of the top drinking schools in the nation; but why the hell come to NC? ALE is really big out here, I cant think of one person that doesnt have a underage drinking ticket. If he would have just shut his mouth and taken the ticket, he could have paid a few hundered dollars and been on his way. I think hes on a power trip from Laguna Beach.

BTW- just to let you know.. Greenville is "Ghetto" just last weekend there was a shooting at a club a block over from rumors. ahhh pitt county

47. The guy is 20 years old - leave him alone. The law requiring age 20 is absolutely ridiculous in a country where 17 & 18 year olds can be sent to Iraq and get killed.
You probably only have to be 12 years old to but a gun there but you cant have a drink at age 20.

Who are these righteous people who makes these laws anyway ? Probably friends of Dick Cheney ( with his minister's degree) or other religious nuts.

59. You all are always reporting about Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, and other 'starlets' being in clubs, drinking and yet, this guy gets busted? There was also a picture of Scarlett Johanssen drinking at the Oscars a couple of years ago, and she wasn't busted as an underage drinker. Hypocrisy.
