"Laguna Beach" Star Busted in Underage Drinking Sweep

Jason Wahler Mugshot TMZ has learned that former "Laguna Beach" star Jason Wahler was arrested and booked this weekend after cops say he "resisted a public officer" during a raid on underage drinkers in North Carolina.

According to police sources, the 20-year-old lied about his age when he was approached inside Rumors nightclub by members of the Alcohol Law Enforcement Division. Wahler claimed he wasn't carrying any ID that night, but insisted that police could "check TMZ.com" to verify his identity!

Wahler was taken to Pitt County Jail early Saturday morning, where sources claim he was anything but coopertive, shouting multiple obscenities throughout the booking process. After spending just a few hours behind bars, Wahler was released on $1000 bail.

Wahler is due to back in court in April.

The 20-year-old has a history of run-ins with the law. Wahler was arrested in Los Angeles for misdemeanor battery after an altercation with a tow truck driver in September. Three weeks earlier, Wahler was ordered to complete five days of community service after he was arrested in New York for disorderly conduct.

65. I agree with the one person who said something about if other underage stars are doing it and not getting put behind bars for then why is Jason. For instance that slut Lindsay Lohan isn't 21 yet and look at her. I think that b**** should get put behind bars but I think she would just offer to f*** the guards or whatever to get out of it. All I wanna say is I LOVE YOU JASON!! I'd bail you out any day.

66. I think the military shouldn't be allowed to send anyone into a combat zone until they are of "legal age" --- 21 --- same as the legal age to drink. Drinking is a lot safer than fighting in a war.

69. drew barrymore was 9 & 10 drinking in places years ago. today, lindsey lohan is underage and so many other actors/actresses. why not arrest the whole bunch of those actors/actresses who are underage? because they make money? what a double standard in hollywood.

Good for NC, like it or not there are legal age limits for drinking nad i am glad NC is doing something about it and not letting a "STAR" get off for it. theres millions of pictures of Lindsay, MaryKate and Ashely < and sooo many other stars, drinking and partying, and buying alcohol, i think they need to be busted as well as the establishments that allow them to break the law! if it was MY daughter buying or drinking she would be held accountable, yes we see pics of an OLSON buying wine in a GROCERY store well before she turned 21, the magazine running the print even made sure to mention her age, and we see pics of lindsay drinking her corona or having a drink at an OVER 21 BAR!! i know they have to be caught but the laws not even trying, when its obvious any nite they can go to these POPULAR famous clubs and bust several....hell tahts one way to raise money for a city, make a fortune off the citations for this stuff (not getting into celebrities drunk or stoned and driving who also usually get off easy!)
celebs need to be shown that all LAWS apply to them as well as the common person!
