On "Idol," people hate on him, but in public, Simon Cowell couldn't be any more loved.

With a giant smile plastered across his face, the "American Idol" truth-teller shook hands and posed for pictures with fans outside paparazzi hangout The Ivy this weekend.

Also out on the town, "Till Death" star Brad Garrett, Hep-A-List chef Wolfgang Puck, Oscar winner Forest Whitaker, Ervin "Magic" Johnson, NBA All-Star Tim Duncan and megastar Stevie Wonder.

18. Just a small typo...it is Earvin not Ervin Johnson.
There was an Ervin Johnson who shared the same name with Magic Johnson but Magic spells Earvin..E-A-R-V-I-N.

23. Simon is very honest when it comes to the contestants. He knows true talent,look at the groups he has found on his own.When he gives you a compliment you can bet he is right on. He has picked the right ones so for,it's the public that votes the wrong ones off,(ex:Hudson,Doughtry). Paula & Randy tell everyone the same things,and when Paula talks it's like she's thinking of something to say. And Randy says the same old things,dawg..Paula would be ok as a judge on a dancing show,she was a dancer not a singer! Get someone with some vocal background,that has some sense to be a judge with Simon.

26. Do the research on who the real record producers in the music industry are. Randy Jackson has worked hands on with more music giants than Mr, Cowell.

In my opinion he’s (Simon) entertaining and his show is of course a pop phenom, but all this garbage about Ms, Hudson and whether not she owns AI more exposure than shes
already given them is pure rubbish.

27. i believe simon is very honest but has that british air about him . i think he's getting a bad rap from jen hud. as for tonights show what are people thinking ????? he's right are they watching with the volume down? don't blame this on him or the other judges.
antonella had to go but i think she handled this porn or whatver you want to call it pretty good. it's ashame people have to ruin other peoples lives. what a world.
