Tina Louise Is All Grown Up!

With four of seven castaways dead, 73-year-old "Gilligan's Island" star Tina Louise is still tickin' after undergoing her lifelong 639,480-hour tour!

Tina Louise
While she's no longer a movie star in real life, the original Ginger spice is now a children's author, having just penned "When I Grow Up."

At a book signing in New Jersey last week, Tina proved that just because you're a septuagenarian doesn't mean you can't have plump lips, copper hair and taut skin!

"It's primitive as can be!"

16. OK... So how the hell do you all think you are going to look when you are 73?? I think it is nice to see a story about her. I liked watching the reruns growing up. YOU GO TINA!!! I am not to old but loved Gilligans Island. Hey..who are the stars from there that are dead?

18. I hope I look as good at age 73!! You guys must all be youngsters...youth doesn't last forever....your day will come....

19. It's good to see my old favorites from time to time. Tina Louise has pretty much kept to herself and kept out of trouble. Good for her. I wish her a happy life.

Some of the posters here are commenting on her appearence as though she should still look like she did on Gilligan's island. If a man ages, gets a few wrinkles, some grey we call him "distinguished" Why don't we do that for women too? They are wiser when older, they have most of life's mistakes behind them.

Lighten up folks!

20. Once seen on a tombstone: Travelers as you pass by, as you are now, once was I, As I am now, YOU will be, prepare for death and follow me!!!!

21. she looks like Sue Ellen Ewing from Dallas

22. My point wasn't, hey she looks old, but hey, she isn't aging gracefully is she, like say Diane Keaton or Annette Bening (whose wrinkles ARE beautiful!). This is more on the lines of Dyan Cannon - I'm still trying to look like I'm 40 - old.

23. The Professor (Russell Johnson) & MaryAnn (Dawn Wells) are the other 2 that are still alive. Gilligan (Bob Denver) was the most recent "castaway " to pass away. RIP Dobie Gillis, Gilligan!!!!! : )

24. What is WRONG with you people? She looks AMAZING for her age. She hasn't had plastic surgery. Which is why she DOES have wrinkes. Which are OKAY! She gave you years of enjoyment. She volunteers all the time and now she's in the literacy program, teaching kids to read. She deserves an award--not your nasty comments.

26. Okay, this is the order I would have done them in:
Ginger
Mary Ann
Mrs. Howe
She's looking pretty good for an old broad!

27. You can tell the nasty comments are from punk teenagers who are still popping their zits while sitting in front of their computers all day(losers). The woman is 73 and for her age,she looks pretty good.If she softened her hair with some body, and had better makeup she would look even better, but she looks a good 15 years younger than her true age.Give her some credit.

28. WOW. She doesn't look amazing. She is almost old enough to be my mother, and my mom is close to ten years older then Tina. But I'll take my mom anyday. My mom has a face with expression. When she smiles, her eyes light up and her face beams with her wide beautiful smile. I often thought I'd want some work done, but my kids are against it, and from the looks of Tina...I think she should have passed up the knife. I loved her though. Just wish she'd loved herself a little more and forget about what everybody else thinks of her. Hollywood success...not so good when a woman ages. So sad.

29. To all of he nasty comments....ouch......remember we all get older and beauty is not only outside.....whast counts is how you treat others..

Diana, you asked who has passed away from Gilligans Island.....Dawn Wells (Mary Ann) is still alive and very well, I am a friend and just saw her in a play in Florida, oddly enough entitled "Gilligans Island the Mucical"...it was VERY good, and yes I was a bit surprised. Anyway...Tina Louise (Ginger) is alive. ...The professor is still alive. .....< Bob Denver (Gilligan), Alan Hale (Skipper) Natalie Schafaer (Mrs Howell and Jim Backus (Mr Howell) have all passed away>

Point of order, Bob Denver played Maynard G. Krebs on "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis"
Dwayne Hickman played Dobie!
