Lets Get This Party Started
Britney's Rehab -- Not So Promising

Will Britney Spears make it through a month in Malibu in rehab? Much as everyone wants to believe, things are looking a little shaky.

Brit has managed to stay at Promises since last Thursday, but Us reports that she's "wavering" in her treatment, and that her cousin Alli has been dispatched to lend a hand. What's more, a source tells Us that her family is hoping that Spears will persevere, but "they're nervous she might not last that long."

Speaking of her family, Kevin Federline did what any responsible dad would do with his sons while mom's away – he took them to Vegas. K-Fed had to make an appearance at the Mirage Hotel, Fashion Disasters Gallery: Click to launch photosand decided to bring 17-month-old Sean and 5-month-old Jayden along. Not to worry – they weren't exactly slinging chips in their high chairs, because Britney's mom was there to look after them. K-Fed was, says a People source, "on his best behavior."

Pooch Munches on Leg o' Rachel

Rachel RayA dog in New York's Union Square Park found Princess of Perk Rachael Ray particularly delish last Saturday. According to Page Six, Ray was walking her own pit-bull mix – named Isaboo (just precious, isn't it) -- when another dog got all "aggressive" with Isaboo, prompting Ray to intervene.

In the end, Ray got the worst of it -- the mad dog took a chunk out of Ray's leg, though a nurse was there to take care of the wound and Ray is doing "fine." Now, as Ray herself would say, how good is that?

FOX to Ann -- Be Our Guest ... But That's It

Ann Coulter Despite referring to Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards as a fa**ot, FOX News Channel is standing by 45-year-old lanky, right-wing loudmouth Ann Coulter.

Just yesterday, FOX News booked Coulter on "Hannity & Colmes," where she defended her haughty homophobic invective, saying it was not "an insulting word" but a "schoolyard taunt" and a "joke."

TMZ asked FOX if they would dump Coulter. The obtuse response -- "Ann Coulter is not a paid commentator and her remarks don't reflect the views of FOX News Channel." We take that as a "no."

Bad Girls Gallery: Click to launch photosTMZ also contacted Coulter's agent to see if she would be dropped for making the remark, just like CAA's drop-kicked conservative radio talk show host Michael Savage over a similar homophobic remark against Melissa Etheridge. But the powerful William Morris Agency was mum on Coulter. We called and e-mailed, but no response.

Isaiah's F-Bomb Blows Up His Big Bucks

Isaiah WashingtonKatherine Heigl isn't the only member of the "Grey's Anatomy's" cast that's reportedly getting the shaft from ABC. Of course, in Isaiah Washington's case, there's a pretty good reason for his getting screwed, as Page Six points out. With all the cast in contract negotiations, Washington's recent gay-hating tirades and hot-headed antics are giving ABC reason "to keep from paying him more," says a source. "Isaiah knows it is his fault he may not get the fat raise he was going to get ... this is going to cost him millions." Washington's rep says, "We are going to do our business in private, not in the press."

Jerry SpringerParty Favors: Jerry Springer Springs Regis from "Talent" Gig ... Mel Filming in Panama? ... Still Want Jacko's Hand? Tickets Available

Jerry Springer will replace Regis Philbin as the host of "America's Got Talent" when the modern gong show returns this summer. Regis gave the constant bi-coastal travel as his reason for ditching the NBC series.. ... Mel Gibson is staying well away from Hollywood again with his next project, reports the AP. He's thinking of filming in Panama, possibly a biopic of explorer Vasco Nunez de Balboa ... If you've got $3500 to blow (and a grand for the plane ticket), you can still buy your chance to shake Michael Jackson's hand in Tokyo, as promoters say that the event, where fans get 30 seconds of face time with the King of Pop, hasn't sold out.

33. #15, Lee: I totally agree with you. Having grown up with a very close relative who was bipolar, the behaviors are all too familiar. She's not PPD anymore than she should be in rehab (although I do think that her addiction to whatever is a secondary problem fed by the bipolar illness). In my opinion, she should be in a hospital under involuntary commitment (she IS a threat to herself or others) until they are able to diagnose and stabilize her, first and foremost.

I see her bolting from that rehab by the end of the week.

37. Can anyone tell me why Mr. Washington should keep his job??? He only went to rehab to save his job, to make his show look like they were doing something about the behavior, he did not lose his job, he may, and that is may get less of a raise. Now if he were white, i.e. Richards, Gibson, even Barbara walters got in on that and wanted Gibson shot. She wanted his career ruined. He went to Rehab!! What is the difference. Now, Mr. Richards he was not drunk, he was angry. Now do I agree these people have the right to say these things, Hell No! But, many groups of people don't like other groups, and they keep it to themselves. Not right, but at least they don't poison the air with their ignorance. Even Barbara Walters was talking about a dinner party she went to, and said, "this german man ignored her, and no he wasn't one of the germans, but rude." One of those meant Hitlers germans. She did not contain herself, but no one called her on that, watch the tape, she her get away with this type of talk. So, if you are Mr. Washington, the blacks give you an award, because of ??? dating back to protecting your own. Ms. Walters was not called on the carpet, because?? She has power. Oprah has lots of power, but you don't hear her using these types of words. She has class, she knows people are looking up to her, so she acts like a good human being.

Lastly, Rehabilitation is helpful, and has helped many people, but these stars, most of them are using it as a bandaid. Sorry, it does not work like that, you don't undo years of hate in 10 days, 30 days, etc. It takes hard work, and bless those who go becasue they know they need help and there are not quick fixes. Mr. Washington and Ms. Walters are not fooling anyone. Shame on you both.

39. I don't think anyone should have to go into an institution because of a word that they said. Alcoholics, drug-abusers, well that might help them. Where are we going with this? Will jail be next because I say a certain word? Washington went to rehab to appease gays, who are wielding a lot of power over the rest of us. Let's not get behind this or we will be sorry one day. People like Rosie O'Donnell scream about the Patriot Act taking their freedom - What about this?? Men used to be brave and strong, now they are scared to even talk.

40. Having been married to someone who is bi-polar, I would say at this point, that she (Brittney) is definitely bi-polar. The reason - just yesterday they reported she was buying all this stuff and so happy. Spending money on themselves makes them happy. Yet last week, it was a suicide attempt. That is what this disease is: unbelieveable EXTREME mood swings - laughing one minute and crying the next. See the movie "Mr. Jones" with Richard Gere to get an outstanding picture of what this disease entails. It was recommended to us by a psychiatrist. Originally, I have to admit, I thought it was drugs and alcohol but they are probably a secondary problem here and they actually make the disease much worse. If she is bi-polar, No. 33 is right - she needs to be committed, at least until they get her stabilized with the proper drugs. If people with this disease do NOT have the proper drugs, a good percentage of the time they either do serious physical harm to themselves or others (including family). I hope her family really is having her tested/treated for this and NOT this PPD they keep throwing in the public's faces. It could cost them their daughters life!

43. All Britney need's to do is release her next shi**y album. That way she can fade to obscurity and we can get back to more newsworthy news.

44. What a crock! Whatever happened to free speech? Any time anyone says anything that hints of negativity they are thrown to the wolves and lambasted by all the politically correct pundits. Who cares what celebrities say as long as they can do their jobs? Why should Isaiah not get the same raise if he's performing at the same level as the rest of the cast? All too soon we're looking at a "Demolition Man" future where everyone should "Be Well" and inspire "Joy Joy Feelings". Have some cojones people & let them say whay they want and tough up! Too many people are WAY too sensitive and need to just let it go. It's actions we need to be concerned with, NOT WORDS! Think for yourself!!!!!

45. I don't understand why everyone is making a big deal over Ann Coulter's comments, but very little is being talked about regarding Bill Maher's comments he made on his show. He said that if Dick Cheney died, more people's lives would be saved. Here's his exact quote: "I’m just saying if he (Cheney) did die, other people, more people would live. That’s a fact." Maybe I just have common sense and a conscience, and I'm not condoning what Coulter said, but suggesting that our Vice President's death would be a good thing is a lot worse than calling someone a slang name.
