Celebrity Feuds
FOX to Ann -- Be Our Guest... But That's It

Ann CoulterDespite referring to Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards as a fa**ot, FOX News Channel is standing by 45-year-old lanky, right-wing loudmouth Ann Coulter.

Just yesterday, FOX News booked Coulter on "Hannity & Colmes," where she defended her haughty homophobic invective, saying it was not "an insulting word" but a "schoolyard taunt" and a "joke."

TMZ asked FOX if they would dump Coulter. The obtuse response: "Ann Coulter is not a paid commentator and her remarks don't reflect the views of FOX News Channel." We take that as a "no."

TMZ also contacted Coulter's agent to see if she would be dropped for making the remark, just like CAA dropkicked conservative radio talk show host Michael Savage over a similar homophobic remark against Melissa Etheridge. But the powerful William Morris Agency was mum on Coulter. We called and e-mailed, but no response.

421. Ann is an extreme right wing nut job. It is obviuos that she thrive on controversy in order to sell books and become famous. What are her credentials besides having a law degree? Nada! Zip! Zilch!

As much as I despise Coulter, I think she should be allowed to say what she wants to say. You may not agree with her blatant stupidty and her spin... but you must defend her right to free speech even if it offends you!

422. First, I would like to know why Ann Coulter is called a "celebrity"....she has no tatent, no looks, no personality etc.......as a matter of fact, it is very difficult to even look at her for any length of time......what are we doing, giving her all this publicity? Yes, I know she needs it but who really cares? NOBODY!!!

423. Anne Coulter needs to get a life. Yes, we do have freedom of speech, but educated people do not use this as an excuse to degrade or slander other people. Save that language for street people who have no other means of communication.

424. Coulter is becoming more and more shrill. She is also looking a bit tense around the eyes. Whenever conservatives don't have an intelligent comment they always resort to name calling. How sad. The joke isn't funny; isn't cutting edge; and in fact is very old and tired, Just like Ann Coulter.

425. Ann Coulter's statements were offensive to me as an individual, however let us all keep in mind, we live in a nation where we believe in the right to express our opinions. So to Miss Coulter I say 'I may not agree with what you say, but I do defend your right to say it'. Much as you should defend my right to say that you are a person to be pitied for your inablility to express yourself intelligently rather than resorting to 'schoolyard insults' which are best left to children and those too intellectually challenged to engage in dialogue with the adults.

426. I just want to know what Liberal traumatized her as a child in order to result in a life of such venom and bilious indignance. Ann, honey, did a dirty hippie piss in your Ovaltine?

427. Who cares what that lonely, toxic, unattractive, anorexic, whiny, drag queen wannabe says about anyone? It's only by dropping big names that Coulter gets any attention whatsoever. Her legitimacy as a human being is suspect. So is her own sexual orientation. Coulter is so yesterday that she thinks she's relevant. The next time I see her name in print, I hope it's under Obit, not Op-Ed.
