Jennifer Hudson -- Liar, Ingrate?

421. I am a musician, singer and songwriter. I started watching Idol because of the JH stories in Newsweek, and I have seen Dreamgirls. After reading this whole blog up to now I have a few quick comments:

1) Beauty IS NOT an accomplishment.

2) Any adult who worries about the opinions of others who are outside of their close circle of friends ( including family ) is in trouble.

3) SOME of these ignorant, white, "Girls Gone Wild," majority Idol voters are the reason why kids take guns to school and make headlines.

4) AI is Simon's show and he is a Spin Doctor. (and my favorite) He probably has people posting on this blog to milk this buzz.

5) Reality shows give the audience a sense of POWER. JH succeeded anyway hence the VOTER venom.

6) AI is a popularity contest judged by high schoolers and tweens. (Simon constantly reiterates "this is a singing contest" while commenting on looks, hair, dress, ect.) Don't believe the hype. (but it is entertaining)

7) The many typos are due to this very slow comment processor.

P.S. Everyone please continue to vote for an Antonella and Sanjaya change-the-game-anarchistic final.

423. To the individual who stated that Reuben, Taylor and Fantasia don't sell because they are ugly, and that Carrie and Chris sells because they look better or are skin. I here to tell you don't know what you are talking about. The difference is the genre each has chosen. Rock and Country or less compeitive than Pop or R&B

425. American Idol is just a TV show that allows the American public to sit on their asses and make judgment calls. Ms Hudson should not apologize to Simon, she's thanked the show enough.

You people have no right judge a person based on sound bytes alone. Simon is trying milk her success for the good of his show.

The real giants in music industry view the show as prop, and
has Cowell really been responsible for discovering any major
talents in music before the success of Idol, no he hasn’t.

You can’t compare Simon’s achievements to the likes of Clive Davis,
David Geffen, Tommy Mottola etc. Randy Jackson has worked with bigger names!

If the Academy felt Ms Hudson’s performance in Dreamgirls was Oscar material, so be it. Those of that say she’s not talented enough, who are you, and what have you done.

I’ve seen Ms Hudson perform live and she’s brilliant. At this point she has every right to be little ticked off at all this Idol drama.
Mr Cowell got his panties in a bunch because Ms Hudson called
His program a (stepping stone)…Encarta World Dictionary defines
it as (2. A stage or step that helps achieve a goal)

She a great vocalist, with a bright future. Your opinions won’t change that.

The hypocrisy of it all:
Being fat/overweight "is unhealthy." Yeah right, how many skinny smokers are "being unhealthy." At least fat people don't exhale cholesterol onto the veins of the person next to them.

427. Why are you all so hard on Jennifer Hudson. She did a great job on her movie is very talented, has made an impact on how we view weight in Hollywood. She is not an ingrate, She has said she is grateful for American Idol, but just because she doesn;t kiss their asses or constantly plug them doesn't make her an ingrate. I mean she didn't even make it to the top 5 on the show. She was kicked off. Why should she be singing their praises. You don't see McDonalds being mad at people who start there and turn out to mega successful. It was a first job, get over it. And by the way she is not overweight. She is average and I think beautiful and confident, more than most of the "thin pretty" stars of today.

Well I guess all those people who just assumed Jennifer Hudson’s star would fall as quickly as it rose, will have to wait just a little bit longer to see that happen.Fresh off of her Oscar and NAACP win for Best Supporting Actress, Jennifer has landed a role in the Robert Reford directed biopic about Jackie Robinson, been signed by Avon to represent their Imari brand perfume and is in talks to duet with Whitney Houston on her upcoming album.


Side Note: Don’t lie. How many of you grew up sneaking into yo Mama’s room and spraying on her Imari perfume in the burguny bottle.Damn that brings back memories.

Who cares if Jennifer Hudson didn't win "American Idol"? With her performance as Effie White in "Dreamgirls," the big-voiced diva is getting enough critical acclaim to send her Grammy-winning co-star, the fabulous Beyoncé, over the edge with envy.

The film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical was supposed to be Beyoncé's star vehicle, but it's Hudson who's getting the Oscar buzz. Oh no she dit-n't!

Entertainment Weekly believes Jennifer's a shoo-in for a Best Supporting Actress nod, and New York Times reporter David Carr flat out says that Hudson "steals the show." Even Oprah called up the songstress and told her it was a "transcendent performance." If you thought Beyoncé was angry before -- somebody better ring the alarm!

See for yourself as a star is born; "Dreamgirls", with Jennifer Hudson, opens December 15.

430. Jennifer is a great singer her work on Dream Girls prove that. As most of the American idol's they are mad at Simon. Simon just keeps it real. Simon said nothing but good things about Jennifer except for that one night she did not do her best and he gave her the comment that she needed. I watched Jennifer Hudson and that particular show I wonder what happen to her. She is a beautiful young diva and her work shows. I am very proud of her but Jennifer if you read these postings please dont be mad at Simon because that night I felt the same way about your singing. You can sing and everyone knows it and if you let the people who badtalk you get to you the dream will die. Keep your dream alive and keep doing what you do best.-sing. You are a star!

431. This is for the 1st person name Narren with the comment she made about Jennifer Hudson being a fat-ass and you placed God in your comments about what he is and isn't doing! God created all of us in his own image and who are you to say what that image is. No one is a size 2,4 or 6 for that matter. And God answers all prayers and is always around, not in just one place and yes she should thank God because without him none of us would be here and none of us would be able to say the dumb shit you said in your statement. Don't hate on the woman because God has blessed her and she wants to thank him for it. Believe me God loves Jennifer Hudson just as much as he loves the soldiers and civilians over there risking their lives daily. And we don't know what all went on during her time on American Idol so before we all jump to conclusions and just let the media do what they do best and that is over exaggerate a story we need to ask God to show her if she is wrong to humble herself and apologize but better yet ask him to heal her heart so that she won't continue to feel the way she does about Simon because evidently she has given him too much power over her self-esteem because she is still talking about him. And I am a firm believer that there isn't anything wrong with believing in yourself regardless of what someone says about you.
If you don't believe in yourself then who will???
And just to let you know I am a Veteran and my husband is over in Iraq right now and the comments that you made about God were not tasteful whatsoever.
The comments you have made will one day bite you back in your behind. Pray to God you never get A Thyroid Disorder because you will wish you never opened your mouth to talk about anyone Plus Size!!

432. Boy, is everyone here Idol-drones? I mean seriously, Idol IS a stepping stone. If you think Idol is "supposed" to be the height of one's career, then you're seriously mistaken.

J-Hud has thanked Idol plenty of times before and just like Kelly Clarkson, as soon as she forgot or didn't thank Idol, she's crucified for it. Give me a friggin' break! Did Idol give her the role in the movie? No. Did Idol keep her in the limelight the past 3+yrs before she got the role? Nope. Did Idol help her with acting critiques after she got the role? Nada.

433. all i have to say is this, all of america knew how Simon treated people on American idol and jennifer Hudson was on the 3rd season and she still auditioned and jumped thru all the hoops they asked her to why is she acting surprised now all of america saw how rough they where on those contestants for the first 2 seasons, and she was #6 to go of the top 12 contestants because Fantasia and Latoya london blew her out the water that season Jennifer Hudson ruined that song that night when america voted her off i remember the look on her face like she was too good to go, and jennifer hudson didnt sing that song as well as jennifer holiday sang it she got the part over Fantasia because she looked the part of effie and no she didnt deserve the oscar not this time around case in point ,Eddie Murphy first time nominated for an oscar and did not get one for 20 years he has been intertaining us and amusing us yet his performances was not good enough for an oscar i say whats wrong with this picture, the academy has been wrong before when they gave an award for that awful song "its hard out here for a pimp". america is unforgiving and fickle, someone should have informed her about what not to say in an interview , i truley hope she can bounce back from this but she made her own problems you cannot say what ever you feel like saying on tv it will come back and bite you.it was so tacky to go around insulting in interview after interview this may be her demise,let this be a lesson to all the young up and coming stars, dont make this same mistake.....

434. Jennifer Hudson didn't have any kind of personality when on A.E. People voted her off, in which, I was glad. I didn't like her then, and still don't like her. In another 2 yrs., people will saying Jennifer who? She shouldn't walk on two many people on her way down!

435. When Jennifer was on AI I thought she was a really good singer. I also didn't like her because of her S**T don stink attitude. Maybe that's why she got voted off. She may talk bad about AI but who ever heard of her before AI.
