62. Her attitude is typical of many blacks. They have this mentality that makes them think everyone is out to get them. Jennifer is just showing how ingrained it is in her. Instead of enjoying her fame and fortune, she'd rather mouth of and be the typical loud mouth hate filled c**t that many black women like to be. My remarks aren't to prove that Simon is some nice guy. Obviously he sometimes acts like a black woman too. But, he obviously didn't publicly berate Jennifer so there must be something that happened that Jennifer just can't let go. Btw, she's lucky she didn't win because AI's contract with the winner literally makes them a slave to AI producers.

65. Oh wow... the demigods of celebrityhood giveth and then taketh away...

"Extra" did a great job editing that piece together to make it look as if Simon was a fan of Jennifer Hudson's throughout her time on the show. I watched that seaon and observed Simon criticize her hair, her clothes, and tell her the competition was too big for her. Now that Jennifer is an academy award winner, Simon thinks she should be beholden to the show for giving her her start?

I'm sure Jennifer appreciates the opportunity American Idol gave her, but she doesn't owe them her soul. And what everyone also need to realize is Jennifer got a lot of publicity very quickly, she needs time to learn the everyone is holding on to her every word and be careful not to burn any bridges so early in her career. Be grateful for even the critics if simply for giving you the motivation to prove them wrong!!! Americans are extremely fickle. They'll turn on you in a millisecond, as evident on this blog and shows like "Extra".

She has absolutely no acting talent; and to win an oscar for acting is a slap in the face to others. who in the hell votes for these people anyway??? there are pleny of black actresses out there who can sing who could have played this part. she is unsophisticated pure white trash. 70. I used to love this website but wow the hate on here is crazy. First of all, Jennifer has always said without Idol no one would know who Jennifer Hudson is. Secondly, did it ever occur to you people that the point of all the Jennifer/ Simon talk was to continue Simon's image of being Mr. Nasty. Thirdly, she wasn't the only one saying Simon wasn't to nice to her. Every talk show stated the same thing and played a tape of it including Oprah. He did make fun of her clothes, hair and her weight. SO LET THE RACISM BEGIN!!!!

73. If it wasnt for AI she wouldnt have had the exposure and wouldnt have been given a chance at the role in dreamgirls and ultimately wouldnt be holding that shiney little statue. I doubt there will be a repeat of that for her. Next stop, Broadway. She'd do well but it's not what she wants of course. Who knew that perhaps Beyonce had a reason to flare her nostrils at J-Hud. I dont think she should have to mention AI in every interview, etc etc but still. Love the video clips maybe someone should show that to her. I can say the judges opinions can certainly sway voters but I think people vote for who they want doesnt matter if they are the best or not...Antonella anyone?

75. First off I'd like to say that I usually agree with Simon's assessments of people's singing abilities. Not always, but most of the time.

I have not seen Jennifer Hudson bad-mouthing Simon or American Idol in the press at all. Perhaps I've just missed what TMZ is talking about, or perhaps TMZ is doing their usual exxagerating or interpretive-reasoning-based-on-nothing-substantial-reporting.

I think Simon is wrong this time. For anyone to say that Simon, and American Idol even, single handedly was the reason behind Jennifer Hudson getting the Dreamgirls role, and for her success in the role, is ridiculous. First of all, if you've read the reports, she was one of hundreds of people who tried out for the part , and she was rejected a couple of times as well. So, the role was not handed to her, she had to EARN it. She did that through her TALENT. If she didn't have any talent she wouldn't have gotten the part and she wouldn't have won just about every award there is to think of...even overseas. I just think many of the people on this Board have hard time with an African American doing well. Hate to even say that, but it just seems that way.

Now...look at all the American Idol has-beens that have gone nowhere in their careers since their time on American Idol. Some of them who made it much further than Jennifer Hudson in the competition. Most of them have spent four years scrounging to make a dime, and the closest thing they've done to being seen is to appear on the AmericanIdol Rewind shows!!!!

The comments about Jennifer Hudson's appearance are stupid as well. Not everyone has to be thin, white and blond to be beautiful. People are just so ignorant and it makes me embarassed to be white sometimes. She is a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice and someone who can act better than a lot of younger actresses in Hollywood, and can sing circles around many of the no-talent-can't-sing -a-lick entertainers - i.e. Britney, J.Lo, Hilary Duff - that are shoved down our throats day after day.

Enough of the haterade already!!!
