79. First of all, 'Idol" is a great show and they have given a lot of wanna-bees a chance they probably would never have had. Although crude at times, Simon for the most part is right-on. The papers the contestants have to sign cover any and all possible negative reviews they might get. How soon Rosie has forgotten Ruben,Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson and even Kimberley Locke who came in 3rd year 2. The thing is Rosie's big mouth helps the 'view' and American Idol in ratings. After listening to Simon's rude remarks, we immediately tune in to 'the view' to see what Rosie has to say about it.

80. I don't believe American Idol is racist,but yes,they are weightist. Ruben notwithstanding,there will never be a female winner that is not slim or pretty. I don't blame them exclusively,it's society's insistance that women look like fashion models --or centerfolds-- if they expect to be in the entertainment business.

How else do you explain the celebrity of people like Jessica Simpson? Can't sing,can't act,but what a rack!

82. Although I think Rosie has every right to speak her mind, I think she needs not jump to conclusions about so may things she does not have all the information about. I do think American Idol is prejudiced but not in the ways that Rosie is allegating. I don't see any prejudice against race, sex or physical appearance (although Simon does get his cutting remarks in) but I definately see a prejudice against age. The show is called American Idol not Young American Idol. I do not think musical talent is restricted to those under the age of 30. We middle agers get sick of everything being about the young. I could kick A** if I wasn't too old to be on this show!!

84. If Lakeisha Jones makes it to the top 12, which I do hope she will, & on country night, can someone let her know that she should sing "Good, good love", by Lari White. I think with her power house voice, she will blow the roof off with this song. No kidding! Also, if Chris Richardson or Sundance Head makes it, I like to suggest that either one of them sing "Turn around" by Jonny Lang. It will stir your soul. Good music often goes under the radar. For those who seek peace, seek God. For those who seek good music, seek it not always on the billboard. Yes, I do agree that this season AI is dull, but there are few good singers in the mix, but the songs they have been singing made me press the "mute" button often. The songs are lame & predictable!!! I do love Simon, though!

85. WHY do people fear a woman that speaks her mind and tells her truth? Why does it offend people so much if one person says stuff that they don't agree with. I watched the clips and she was half kidding with the weightest thing and having fun and she has very valid points on the issue. But the point isn't whether I agree or disagree with what she says, it is in my belief that she has a right to say her opinion, ESPECIALLY when that is what she is getting paid to do. This whole style of responding viciously when people don't agree with what she says just shows how uneducated socially we really are as a country. I imagine that is all too "deep" for this board though and I should just resort to calling people names and picking my nose like everyone else to fit in.

Idol has up until Reuben, been Weighist.. if anyone remembers simon telling Vanessa Oliviverez that she was fat..
The whole Frenchy/Antonella debate should have been settled when the photos of Antonella came out. She should have been AXED.. just like Frenchy was....instead the folks at Idol are saying they are going to leave it up to the american people.. We didn't have that option when the photos of Frenchy surfaced....so why now? cause Antonella is a cute, skinny, white girl?
Frenchy Davis is head over heels more talented than this antonella could ever hope to be....Nigel should spend his time finding better quality singers then firing off press releases about something that most people I have spoken to are in agreement about.. Frenchy got the ax.. so should Antonella.. nuff said...
and for the folks at Idol to not let the view use clips of their show.. well that is just silly.. seems to me with the lame singers they have this year, they could use all the talking up of that show they could get.....

88. I'm not sure I agree with the show being weight-ist of racist. Every year there seems to be a wide "variety" of people who make it through to the final 24 where America votes. After that it's up to the voters so I don't know how that could have anything to do with judges/producers being racist. Not to mention, every year the minorities have stuck around just fine. Fantasia won... and she's African American, not all that pretty, and relatively chubby as compared to the anorexic of hollywood. Ruben... African American, not that great looking, heavily overweight and won. I would say Rosie would be right if the judges only put through "white" people into the top 24, but that's NEVER the case! I think Rosie is just very caught up in herself and doesn't think before she speaks. She has way too many opinions on topics that have absolutely nothing to do with her and people are just sick of listening to it. About the Frenchie/Antonella deal... 1. Frenchie was paid for her pics 2. The all nude pics of Frenchie were proven real, Antonella's famous BJ pics are not real after a close study revealed a completely different ear structure. The pics were actually stolen from www.fuelyourwank.com where there is more pics of the girl giving the BJ and you can see as plain as day it's not her. I don't think Antonella belongs in the show anymore because of her disrespect to the WWII memorial and her lack of talent... But come on people... It's not a racist or weight-ist thing. Many minorities and overweight contestants have went very far.

89. This is quite simple. When it happened to Frenchie Davis, Idol was worried at how advertisers would react and decided on letting her go rather than losing advertisers possibly. As for today, they rule the roost and anyone and their mother is trying to advertise on that show. That's the difference. It has nothing to do with race or size. Rosie needs to either think things out, or find other idiotic things to talk about. Being on Idol's bad side isn't a good move for her.
