Lane Garrison: Bus-ted in L.A.

Lane Garrison got chauffeured around Tinseltown yesterday in his shiny new ride -- a delightfully orange Los Angeles bus.

The "Prison Break" star had to resort to that bugaboo of all L.A. commuters -- public transportation -- to get from point A to point B yesterday, as he's been stripped of driving privileges following his December 2 accident in which one teenager was killed and two others injured.

The Beverly Hills Police Department has recommended that Garrison be charged with gross vehicular manslaughter, which carries a maximum sentence of ten years in prison.

Garrison has also been spotted seeking deliverance in a couple other ways -- on foot and via a higher power.

16. Good for him, I suppose, I mean he did kills someone, but at least he's abiding by the rules he was given. He could of just hired a driver but instead is showing the he's never good enough to take public transportation like the rest of us.

19. This guy needs to pay for the unnecessary death he caused.

20. Yeah,

I agree. Good for him he just took the bus instead of breaking the law more with a big stupid "what did I do" look on his giant sunglassed face. He made a pretty big mistake early in his young life, but he's on the long, unglamorous road to sorting it out.

21. He kills a kid & injures two others while drinking & druggin' while driviing, and he should be commended but, you all what Brandy to be hung? You fuckin' tools are really are some dumb bastards.

22. How do you know you a D-Lister celeb on the way out? You've lost your license to drive and there is NO ONE around to give you a ride somewhere. I mean....ask yourself....where the hell did my peeps go??? Didn't I used to have an entourage???

What? This dude couldn't even bum a ride off of Arnold from Different Strokes?

#16 - this guy has sooooo many legal fees to cover at the moment to help keep him from having to plan a real prison break he can't afford a driver (dem lawyering types are expensive ya know). Also, in L.A., to anyone, let lone a celeb, it is a fate worse than death to have to resort to public transportation. If you are cruising in a something real long with someone else driving it, it better be a late model limo. Actually limos seem to have faded in L.A.. Everybody wants to drive themselves for some reason even if they can afford a driver. Damn, I for one could get used to having a driver at my beck and call. His name would be Jeeves. Even it it really wasn't....he'd be called Jeeves. In L.A.....he who walks, walks alone. He who rides the bus is he who'll never get laid. I know it's hard for a lot of people to believe that public transportation is forbodden and no arguments in support of it will be tolerated, but that's L.A., the city on wheels. I live part of the time there but the rest of the time I spend in NYC, Boston and San Francisco, so I'm no stranger to public transportation. I usually use public transportation in those cities more than my cars, mostly to save time driving around to find parking. It's the norm and acceptable to most people in those cities. But in L.A., pub transportation seems to attract a differing crowd. Usually the kind that most of the people on pub transportation in other majors cities would take measures to avoid (remember that lot from Speed? Well they would have been the creme of the crop). Now this guy is one of them - that's what they're really saying here. But you're right, he is a law abiding citizen in doing so. It only becomes L.A. tragic in that he was a rising star and did something stupid, so they're rubbing it in and.....well....calling him stupid. Right or wrong you be the judge. He's just not as concerned with your sentence at this time.

24. Is that really Lane Garrison? I don't think so. But I think I do see Paris driving behind the bus. Stupid bitch.

25. People take public transportation all the time in L.A. these days. It's a great alternative to driving, and I think more and more people will realize this especially since our system is a lot better than the rest of the country (except for new york or maybe chicago)

26. Can't this dude afford a cab???

27. Wow. I feel in a way, for Lane. At the same time, I'm pissed that his stupidity caused an innocent person their life. I will say this, however, if anyone in this situation has learned their lesson, I definitely think it is him. I believe he is truely remourseful for his actions. Unfortunately, this will haunt him forever. One bad decision can last a life time. That's why I do, really feel for him. On another note, - I WAS the biggest Paris fan and constantly stood up for her, when anyone said anything bad, however, Elliott, if you read these, tell your friggin client to stop fu**king driving. It really, really pisses me off that with all of her money, she doesn't have enough responsibility to hire a driver. If you want to party til the cows come home, you go girl, but damn it, don't get in your car and risk killing someone else, because you're too "good" to leave your Bentley at home. Same with Nicole, with all your money, bitch stay home or get a driver. Neither one of you asswipes, deserve to be driving. Remember, driving is a PRIVILEDGE, not a right. I'm done sticking up for you, Paris. You broke the law. You were punished. But, you were caught driving again. So, in all reality, you were not punished. So I will not be watching the new Simple Life. I hope it flops. You should not be rewarded for being an asshole. And, to Kathy Hilton, it's great that you know proper English (since you corrected the grammar of one of Paris's fans), but instead of concentrating on something so minor, be a teacher to your daughter and make her learn some responsibility. As her mother, you should be making sure she takes her punishment and uses a driver. With all your money, a driver should be no big deal. So, maybe it means one less Versace dress. I thought you (Kathy) had class, but in all reality, you 're nothing but a Dina Lohan.

Posted at 9:23PM on Mar 8th 2007 by jay

29. He should be in JAIL!!!! Remember he killed someone?Sure after something really bad happens he searches for God...like most criminals. Pathetic. Who runs the USA...must be an idiot.

30. It's good that he has his life changed by not being able to drive-just like he change the lives of 3 other people by what he did.

What do you people mean when you say he looks remorseful and he has paid the price?
thnik this is beeing way to lienient on him.
